  1. i believe it has been tested on light CAS birds (like the A-29) would not do well for fast jet combat, limited size of missile equals limited rocket burn time and limited range/ manuvering to engage other fast jet. too small warhead against most bombers too buuuttt.... on those light CAS birds it would do well against other similar aircraft, helos and for light intercepts (Cessnas, Beech etc)
  2. doing light work, and thought these moon light shots looked pretty cool
  3. over all this mod is simpler than most i do. but involves alot more recreation of older insignia

  6. Kuwait request for Oshkosh heavy trucks approved

never saw the trailers for the PLS's before. but seen plenty of trucks and other stuff loaded on the PLS itself before (including a CSMs Humvee when all the wreckers were full coming back from the field) funny story: any time we come out of the field we would have to wait on all weapons to be turned in before being released. this included if a vehicle broke down on the autobahn, we'd have to wait on those Soldiers weapons to get back to be released. lead to many times of getting back to our kaserne at 22-2300 and not being released until 0530-6ish the next morning. one FTX someone has the bright idea to load all the weapons on a PLS coming back. so we wouldnt wait on a few weapons on the side of the road. guess who broke down.......
  7. Help required!

or eliminate the stick entirely for a test, and run keyboard only. if it still does it with no stick hooked up, then you have an FM problem

  13. you are correct. forgot about that post someways up and it just depends on who delivered this week whose rifles they use for that matter, makes the rolled up sleeves ok
  14. (will keep quiet, will keep quiet, will keep quiet , the hell i will) if US Army why AKs and RPG? why not M-4, M-16, SAW and M203? guy in ACU's with sleeves rolled up is no go in field and in garrison (rolled up ok in garrison for BDUs and just came back to Multicam this year) and for a squad you need a good mix of colors and heights. make sure a short one and a big one carry the one of the machine guns would be interesting to see that come to life tho

  19. i can understand it to a degree. when i get to setting up my newly created era/region installs (roughly about three weeks), i wont want to scrool past the stock stuff to get to the add ons (in the cases of the 1950s based installs, or the Jumbo, the Atomic, or the ASW installs). i could, i just dont want to.
  20. Scenarios of Iran's war on the Arabs

this is the basis for the best fictions or game campaign scenarios. the real conditions on the ground, with one minor change that changes everything (like an unpopular archduke getting shot on the way to the hospital after escaping an assassination attempt)
  21. TB2 Nightmare

Gepard was the SPR-1 totally Russian or Russian vehicle with East German electronics?
  22. Eurofighter will remain operational up to 2060

well the BUFF does have the right potentials, in that they keep changing what it can do (from yesterdays high altitude gravity bomber to tomorrows hypersonic missile truck and everything in between) the B-58 and B-70 fell victim to both the SAM threat (neither could operate at intended speed or range down low) and the politics of the time (Kennedy wanted to go to almost all ICBMs, and only considered bombers for the fact that they could be launched to send a message then recalled if things cooled down) the B-1 fell to politics as well, though Carter knew the Advance Technology Bomber aka B-2A was in the pipeline which convinced him to keep a campaign promise. It was plagued by immature tech in the 20th century, awesome but constantly used the first two decades of the 21st, then the overusage began to tell on the fleet the last couple of years. the B-2 would have been much cheaper had the full run of 132 or more been built. But in the early 90s, alot of politicians wanted to kill it period (not even the 21 that were built) and it was hard to justify as there was no more big bad Soviet Union threat that needed to be contained (yes using the American world view there). Same politicians were short sighted to think the world would be a big happy place and that we wouldnt get involved somewhere else far from home or that somebody else would think they should be top dog on the planet rather than the US. When the B-52 was built the USAF had a practice of putting an "0-" in front of the tail number of any aircraft over 10 years old. SAC's fleet (B-52s, KC-135s), almost all of MACs fleet, and the Century series staying in service into the late 70s (F-105G, F-104C, F-00Ds, F-106s) eliminated that practice. but when most of those aircraft were first built the common practice was that an aircraft would serve its original role about a decade in active service then a few years in the reserve forces before retirement. it would be interesting to see what LeMay would say if he were told the B-52Hs would be in service 60 years after they came off the line
  23. you know if you ever considered coming back, its been stable for over 8 years now
