Strike Fighters 2: Sounds (+) is a default sound replacement project that has expanded to include unique engine and mechanical (Gear, Flaps, ...) sounds for various default aircraft for Strike Fighters 2, Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam, Strike Fighters 2: Europe, Strike Fighters 2: Israel, and Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic. The focus of the project is to re-create a realistic cockpit environment, however, since the engine doesn't (?) support multiple audio environments (Internal vs External), this may negatively affect the external environment as a consequence. The download contains a small program by the name of JSGME (JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler) which can enable or disable the mod when used correctly. It's optional but highly recommended. The Saved Games folder should be extracted to "C:\Users\(Your User Name)". If you don't wish to use the JSGME program simply copy the various folders from the folder "MODS" (Flight, Objects, Sounds) and paste them to "C:\Users\(Your User Name)\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2", or your custom "Saved Games" folder of choice. I have also included optional radio chatter that replaces the default "Windloop" w/ radio chatter from various sources. This can be enabled via JSGME, or manually as described above. -

Menu X (EU) is a menu screen project for Strike Fighters 2: Europe that replaces the default (4:3) menu screens (loading screens and icons) w/ widescreen (16:9) photographic alternatives. The file contains a small program by the name JSGME (JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler) which can enable or disable the mod when used correctly. It's optional but highly recommended. The Saved Games folder should be extracted to "C:\Users\(Your User Name)". If you don't wish to use the JSGME program simply copy the various folders from the folder MODS and move them to "C:\Users\(Your User Name)\Saved Games\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2 Europe". The Fonts folder contains the required fonts used by the GUI. Simply drag/drop the respective files to your Windows fonts library. I've also included both an alternative Windows shortcut icon and a PNG for those that use a dock program. Both can be found in the Desktop folder. -

SF2 Realism Mod
Brennus replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Am I to assume that the default aircraft will be front and center, or will there be additional aircraft added to the roster (M2K?)? Also, will SFR require a merged install, or will there be a specific version (SF2:EU?) in mind? -
SF2 Realism Mod
Brennus replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Dave, I'm currently (finally) building the foundation for the SFR Menu, and I have a couple of questions. First, which aircraft do you suppose will be the main focus, as the F-15A is to SF2:EU and the F-4(X) is to SF2. This will give me an idea as to which aircraft will be featured on the Main Screen. Second, I need an icon or patch for the System Menu Icon and Desktop Icon. As an example, I use the Desert Storm patch as the Icon for the Desert Storm Mod, and the NATO emblum as the Icon for SF2:EU. Also, Menu X (SFR) will see the debut of an official (actual) 4:3 > 16:9 (1024x768 > 1920x1080) menu screen conversion, which will be the basis for all future Menu X projects. -

Feel free to use any, all, or even a mix-match of content from any existing Menu X project. I would even consider designing a new one from scratch if you'd like, time permitted and all that... -

Menu X (AETC)
Brennus replied to Brennus's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Thanks Dave, the current TC is pretty ambitious, but the meat will be in the missions set. I'm currently usin' The Range as the AO, and I would like to package the terrain and aircraft objects as part of the TC, which means that I'll have to get permission for distribution. How would you suggest I start this process? -
Menu X (AETC)
Brennus replied to Brennus's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I'm workin' on the idea of creating a total conversion that will focus on simulating an Air Education and Training Command environment, at least as much as currently possible. As of right now, it's loosely based on BeachAV8R's training missions, but the plan is to create an entire USAF air training simulation mission set. Stay tuned... -

SupGen, here's a link to Menu Music (ODS) via CombatACE, which consists of a single file rather than the split archive: Menu Music (ODS) -
