OT Message to the Tornado Crew
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
When I was a kid playing in the yard with my brother I could have sworn a SPAD XIII flew overhead. I remember being afraid it was going to fall out of the sky. A few years back at Oshkosh the stealth fighter and the SR-71 Blackbird did flybys at low alt. I saw so many great planes that weekend. Celebration of the US Airforcce 50th Anniversary. What a show. -
No inconvenience here. Great vid Jammer. Nice presentation of his combat history. I liked how you changed up the views from one to another. The choice of music was splendid also. A nice memorial.

I can't brag because I've seen some hellascious collections that some OFF guys have. I can say I have a fair collection. Primarily WWI and some WWII. Actually my collection of books covering the Age of Sail is even larger.

Hey, I recognize that plane. Thanks for the skins you've uploaded this past month Widow. -
That's right. There would be no Brit kites left after he had a couple hours of "testing"

For those addicted to WWI sims
Rickitycrate replied to Bandy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
quote UK widowmaker "but I hope the FE guys enjoy their sim as well" By all means. Can't each have his own and be happy? I think so. I wish well for all the sims and I can be happy for new releases for them even if I don't have the sim. Someone elses good time is no skin off my bum. Enjoy what you have I say and if you don't then try another. I'm more than happy. -
Oh Olham, you are a funny dude. One post back you were just patting yourself on the the back for being older and wiser and having more patience. Also perfectly happy with the sim you have for now. I understand though. If P4 came out tomorrow I'ld have to have it.

OT Message to the Tornado Crew
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
So a few years back the wife and I are on one of our Maui trips and we are out for a day drive and circled the island. We stopped at a very remote area along the shore that had some natural rock arches. We're just silently taking it all in and contemplating Gods handiwork when all of a sudden we were buzzed or zoomed at very low level by 2 military jets. Not being a jet guy I can't say what they were. It ruined the moment but it made my day. Did anyone else notice that when Stumpjumper used all caps his spelling greatly improved? I'm cool with that. -
Dear Winder and Pol, Thank you for always treating us with the respect that you have shown besides your efforts to bring the WWI aircombat experience to us. Thank you Tamper for starting this well written thread, it has been on all our minds I think. I trust what Winder and Pol have said and I look forward to the future. For those of us that find the challenge lacking now after hundreds of hours of flight time may I suggest after selecting the most difficult settings in Workshop that perhaps you might fly some other craft with different flight characteristics and maybe one gun instead of two. The earlier planes are more challenging just as in R/L. For another experience go up as an observer and see how good you are at that, challenging. I am far from bored or whatever because I mix things up a lot. That and the fact that I'm not very good.

I'm with you Catch. I also am trying to get a copy of the earlier film although I understand much of the flying sequences were used for both films. In your search for the earlier film be aware that it was retitled "Flight Commander". Good luck!

Buddywolf, thanks for digging up this obsolete thread. FYI the in cloud problem was addressed and fixed some time ago. OFF continues to undergo refinement and developement. If you have OFF you need to install the patches. -
Ayreon... cool. Nice to know someone else here digs on Ayreon.

Very nice shots everybody. Widow, I think the DH5 would be most rewarding in ground attacks. There are no Quick Missions for it at this time. Does anyone know if it is assigned ground attack missions in Campaign mode? -
Thanks Winder. I am very busy with what I have for now. It's obvious you guys have been continuing to work hard. It is nice to know we have much more to look forward to. Best wishes to the whole team. One thing I must say is that you guys are very generous in keeping us informed and giving us an idea of what's going on. Well, as best you can, hehe.

Enquiring minds want to know.

I fly them. If I get shot up I put her down asap. I think bombing runs are far more dangerous, but I love doing them too.

Me too Widow. Getting pics is a hobby in a sim for me. I love to see all the pics that are posted here. I only wish more of us were active in some of the other forums. At SimHQ I'm afraid it looks like the Rickitycrate World of OFF In Pictures. Most of us have seen the stowaway jumping from the plane before but I caught the blighter dead to rights. Red handed as they say, launching from his hidey-hole behind the engine. What a cramped miserable ride that must be, and at times too warm, hehe. -

Congrats to the Saints and their fans. I'm happy they won the Super Bowl because that means it's time for baseball. I look forward to a season of baseball and homebrewed beer. My Minnesota Twins will seeya at the World Series. -
You have a better chance IMHO of surviving Scrambles if you delay your take-off for what might seem a long time, maybe a minute or two. By waiting you take away the enemy advantage, angle of attack I think it's called. Anyway rather than being a target with no advantage you then have a chance of engaging them while they are engaged with your squadmates and or "A" flight. You can get on their tail. Now it may seem that you are not doing your part and that your countrymen will perish but actually it's not real life and even if some pilots go down they will not be lost/dead. Just an approach if you want to better your odds with a campaign pilot you would hate to lose.
