  1. waited since 1983

Welcome to you Von Paulus! This talk of Wings for Amiga tempts me to dig out my old Amiga w/expansion and My copy of Wings. Actually I have Wings for the Gameboy Advance too, damn screen is too small tho.
  2. Tough going

Paul, go into workshop and ease back on some of the difficulty settings. Select pilot never dies for one thing for now. There is a lot to learn and get accustomed to. But have fun, don't make it too hard.
  3. To easy?

Are you flying BH&H or P2?
  4. Awards system

Good gravey Gerty, this is bloody great! I want P4....now.
  5. waited since 1983

Greetings jimgad. You have arrived at that destination that you could barely imagine, the OFF world. You will experience and pursue the dreams you dared to dream these many years. Enjoy, best wishes.
  6. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

I know ther is a number of good men from Minnesota missing in action here. Step forward and be counted. I seem to remember Brazil also.
  7. Reason for screen name....

Back when I had my first IBM pc and was in need of a nick I wanted something really obscure for some uniqueness. I went with FE2b. Short transitioned to Rickitycrate which I think is obvious but if not: Rickety- liable to fall off or collapse, shakey, feeble in the joints, tottering, infirm. I referred to an old dictionary for the definition. On the same page, same column I see Richthofen. Five places below I see Rickenbacker and three below that is rickety. Unintentional but rather good company. Not unlike this forum.
  8. New recruit to BH&H

The other guys have said it all. I just would like to add my hearty welcome M8. When the DVD arrives you are really going to be in for it. Cheers and here's to all the new guys I meant this one actually
  9. Hi Ryan, welcome to our little group. Sounds like you had a hell of a fight and gave 'em bloody 'ell. Good. You've gotten good advice for the form. Now see about staying alive long enough to see them confirmed.
  10. Hitting pilots and jumping out

Here in Minnesota we build airplanes that have a parachute. The Cirrus Co. in Duluth. When I was with 3M we were working with Cirrus on the composite material used for the structure.
  11. OFF lock ups on WW1 world initializing splash screen

Seems you're good to go. That's good.
  12. OFF BH&H

Thanks for checking in and asking. Best wishes to you and we hope you're taking to the skie over flanders fields real soon.
  13. OFF BH&H

I can say I've flown MP 3 times and each time had no problems and had a blast doing it.
  14. One more in the air

Hellshade, it may sound totally cornball but I am jazzed to think of these guys having a go with BH&H. It's the kind of thing you want to share with the few people that give a schnit about WWI aviation and history.
  15. OFF BH&H

I don't think we can say enough good things about OFF BH&H. For more information click on the banner near the top of this page, or at the bottom. Great vids are on You Tube also.
  16. One more in the air

Ah this great! Another fresh recruit. Welcome indeed! Sounds like you're "up and at 'em" already. Amiga, been there and did that, "Wings" was wonderful. So many of have traveled the same flightsim path to get here and sticking with it has really paid OFF for us die hards. Let us know how you are getting on with things and give "em hell up there!
  17. Just a heads up on Patches...

I was without a good pc for 8 years. When I got this one last Nov. first thing I did was search the net for a new WWI flightsim. Did not know where to start, searched the net for RB3D, saw a YouTube link went there for the first time and saw some amazing OFF videos that at first I thought were from some movie I had not seen. They were Pol's BH&H promo vids. That led me to the forum and a copy of P2 from sittingduck and about a month and a half later I was flying BH&H.
  18. Hitting pilots and jumping out

    O O O
  19. I have to agree the second shot is fab! Very nice Stary.
  20. Wounded Pilot

I thought the Bordeaux Red Baron might like that one.
  21. Missing Labels?

I think maybe some of us don't quite know what to do with all the options the devs have given us. I mean we can fly from a realism setting of 120% down to -100% and anywhere inbetween. Pilot never dies is great for one thing. You learn to fly combat more than how to create a pilot, hehe. Hey no one is watching or judging have fun.
  22. May he enjoy his reward in Heaven.
  23. Missing Labels?

    Yep, I've seen it.
  24. Wounded Pilot

I've been reading "Under the Kaiser's Guns" only just started really and I have already read about 2 different observers who survived the pilot being killed and the airplane crashing. One observer made an effort to get into the cockpit to take control but he could not manage to do so. Good read, Norman Franks author.
  25. New arrival

Welcome McCarty is it, right, well stow your gear and write your mother while you have a chance. You'll be going up in a crate soon and lord knows how you will be on your return. After you collect yourself, should you survive, report back here and make a proper accounting of yourself. Remember we need that crate!
