  1. Missing Labels?

Hi Steve. To any new guys also. Go ahead and fly any way you want or need to. It's about having fun. I have different kinds of pilots for one thing. I'm not always in a frame of mind to fly DiD. So I have other pilots, they usually have comic or nonsense names. We all just want to have fun and are not into judging the main thing is survival and to bring down a few enemy too. Cheers! Don't forget Homeboys great Key Command Card that can be printed very easy reference. It's a sticky.
  2. OFF lock ups on WW1 world initializing splash screen

I am an idiot but sometimes in similar instances for me it turns out that my screen resolutions had somehow gotten set to the wrong setting and when I set it back to what I had it works. Dumb.... I know, just want to help.
  3. O/T Ya'll give Mrs. Cameljockey a hand!

CJ like myself you are blessed with a good wife. Congratulations! Enjoy many more.
  4. Favorite Fast Food Joint

Alexander's Fish and Chips. Kihei Maui, Hawaii. But since I'm not there right now, Cousin's Subs or Zantigo's Mexican
  5. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

Come on you guys... I see Herr Olham has a map for Central and South America and Africa and the Mid-East. Tell him where you live and let's give this good german something to do. For shnitz und giggles get on the map.
  6. Advancing the date

BuB, not only fast but from one of the developers himself! Such service.
  7. Visible damage

I like my teams but living on the border as I do and spending so much time in Wisc. as I do and having been born there I don't get as silly/radical as some do. Besides we're in the same WWI fight and the enemy is at bay.
  8. Duxford Flying Legends Airshow 2009

Wow! Wish I was there. Thanks for posting. I have to search and see if there are any airshows coming up in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Iknow they won't have these great crates but airshows are always a good time. Oh yes Oshkosh is end of this month. I did see a Camel repro there maybe 10 years ago.
  9. Wounded Pilot

If you want to see the doctor, or better yet the nurses, I think you stand a better chance by selecting "roll of dice" for outcomes in the workshop selections. Not DiD.
  10. Hi jack72! Welcome to the show! Good question. I don't have the definitive answer but in my experience at least in QC the AI pilot follows the waypoints. Evidently to complete the assigned mission. What I do is I mix things up a bit by swapping seats during the flight/fight. To go observer seat is key F8, the pilot key is F6. I can stay in the action that way and also enjoy lining up the the observer to get some good shots in. If I might direct you to an account of mine flying this way in QC http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...0&start=540 it is mid-page post #546 in the screeshots sticky. All sims have their limitations. I do hope and believe though that you will get much enjoyment during your OFF BH&H stick time as so many of us do.
  11. Visible damage

My guess for badgerboy is Wisconsin. A mighty fine state it is too. My parents found me under a rock in Hudson, WI. back in '57.
  12. Wounded Pilot

Hi sq, I'm not a dev by any means and I don't have the best answer for you at this time. I do want to welcome you to OFF and encourage to ask questions and be patient with us. There is a great group of people here and someone will respond soon. The Tips and Cheats sticky is always informative and might help. 17 hours, yeah, so many of us are still trying after many months. But the fun is in the trying and when you make it you feel you've really done something. Keep having fun and participate in the forum. The devs are always working for us it seems and some new planes are in the works for future download. Cheers!
  13. The Spad you say. She's a tough one, good luck. Takes a real pilot but something tells me you are up to it.
  14. thanks

You're all Aces in my book, and I do have a book.
  15. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

Olham, Tonyo-legion is in London and Capt. Winters is somewhere in Australia.
  16. Hi Mike! Welcome to the OFF BH&H forum and the world of OFF. I am so glad you are enjoying your stick time and the intro is classic isn't it? This sim is as great and it is is only getting better. I'm sure you are all patched-up and have been reading OFF TIPS and Cheats and so forth. In case you don't know additional planes are in developement. Please share your thoughts about the sim and ask any questions that you can't find answers for. Let Olham know where you live so he can put you on the map. Enjoy and Cheers to you mate!
  17. Dardanelles Campaign Video Teaser

The Short is back. I enjoyed watching this Lou. Fun to see the Short again and those ships belching fire. Look forward to the mission. BTW what do you want to be called for short? Is Lou right?
  18. Rookie with few questions

One tactic I use for srambles is to delay take-off. As I wait the e/a descend thus giving up some altitude advantage. They also spread out and are showing thier tails more to my advantage. I know delaying take-off is counter intuitive but maybe give it a try.
  19. Just a heads up on Patches...

    Thank you OBD!
  20. Recent RoF postings

Mr. Lucky, I agree with you in spreading the word and sharing the OFF experience. IMHO one needs to take into account the nature of the forum though. If it is a specific game/sim forum you best not stir the bees nest. If it is a general broad topic unspecific forum then we should be able to respectfully engage our point of view. A bit of a diplomat perhaps is how to think of ones self, representing the sim and all the people behind it and this forum. I don't fault you or anyone else for thier comments. We all want to share our experience and appreciation for OFF BH&H. When I write on other forums a have a little voice in the back of my head asking would the OBD team approve? I've been out there and seen what you seen and it is frustrating. Just my thoughts and I know many may not agree but let's keep spreading the OFF news as best we can.
  21. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

Olham, I agree with adding your friendly Berliners. I hope that some more guys that fly OFF and maybe don't post feel free to let you know where they live. I don't think you need to be a regular forum poster. If you fly Off get on the map.
  22. As great as OFF is out of the box as we upgrade our gear it ups the realism and the devs. come out with fixes and more planes it just seems to be a dynamic experience that offers something new one way or another and all for the good. Hellshade I am happy for you and I can relate. FFB stick is good to have too if you don't have one yet. Anyway good for you and good luck adjusting.
  23. Recent RoF postings

Lou, I'm afraid that what you suggest might be too close to home. Better safe than sorry I quess I'm saying. IMHO the other sim/game is getting more than enough press and attention. To each their own and let's have peace. Best wishes to all.
  24. Recent RoF postings

I agree about the good nature that exists on this forum but if I may correct you, there is a forum at Combat Ace for General WWI aviation discussion. Here it is http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=46.
  25. Flyin' in the rain...

Perfect gear for the "darkside" to fly with. Right Darth Olham? hehe
