Has anyone seen the silent "Lilac Time" with Colleen Moore and Gary Cooper? I have not but am looking for a copy. Accidently saw a fun film 2 weeks ago called "Today We Live" a Joan Crawford film from 1933 with Gary Cooper. Not a flying film but does include some nice scenes of some sort of brit bombes on missions and fending off german scouts. Includes interesting scenes of brit torpedo boats. I wish I had recorded that one.

OFF BH&H, future: Work in Progress
Rickitycrate replied to Polovski's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Gotha bombers get my vote as being a missing aspect of our sim that would increase sales and interest among the fence sitters. I appreciate all your opinions but I do think the larger bombers have a place in the hearts and minds of many of us. England "Home Defence" is a wonderful role-play type of scenario to have included. If the bombers could be flyable would be fantastic. I'm not well informed about other WWI offerings that may be released in the future but if the large bombers and zeps were in our sim that may give OFF yet another point of advantage and attraction. I will welcome any additions as my faith is totally in ODB and I am grateful for anything and everything they have offered us. There's my $.02. -

Rickitycrate replied to chrsmat71's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Oh yeah.. there's room for a bottle there. I tried that once. Name of the plane was Scotch Mist or something like that. Well there I was having a bit of a smoke and a nip from the bottle and admiring me conquest from the night before and maybe I got a little distracted, some turbulence upset me crate and I fumbled me fag unto me lap and lit me britches afire... well wouldn't you know... me wingie got a picture of that sure enough. -

Recommendations for a new Joysticks ...
Rickitycrate replied to Womenfly2's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi WF2. Nice to see you. I am using what many would maybe consider as low end but it works very well for me and gives me all I wanted in a FFB stick. It's the Logitech Wingman Force 3D. I got one for $5 and one for $1 at the Goodwill. I don't know if they are available at full retail anymore. This stick gives me very good control, with 8 programmable buttons, throttle and hat switch. The feedback is adjustable and very lifelike. I don't run on screen messages and this stick, like other FFB, gives tactile warnings of approaching stalls. I'm sure you know the merits of FFB sticks but I am talking so much as to maybe be informative to those who have not tried one with OFF. I have no experience with the CH or Saitek FFB's. Best wishes with your choice. -
Finally- My Heart is Begining to Pump---red--BLOOD
Rickitycrate replied to Ras's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I think there are 6 of more of us mudducks. Maybe some day we will meet. I wish there was an airshow coming up around here with some WWI birds. That could be an opportunity to meet. Please go ahead and make a diffeence in the war, just don't win it by yourself. -

Yes you will , haha. I flew a long time without trackir and did very well and enjoyed myself a great deal. When you get trackir you will advance your immersion and see advantages in your situational awareness. So yes you are in for a great time and no you are not wrong to be excited about increasing your experience with OFF. Best wishes in your OFFing. Ye old fart, ye. -

Okay Rabu, thanks. -
Well for what it's worth... I joined the forums over at G4-TV for Gamers. My purpose of course was to bring awareness to some more folks about our favorite sim. I could not find the proper place to address my concerns about getting OFF BH&H reviewed. At least I started a thread in the PC game forum about "Is there support for independant developers? Not a perfect situation I know but if it does not garner a future review perhaps it will bring some new flyers to our ranks. You never know.

This, my friend, is flying through clouds. Did this maybe 2 months and 3 or so patches ago. -
Boy am I pissed. I was looking forward to flying and shooting down some E/A tonight but now I read the war is over and Cosmos33 won. Dang!

Rickitycrate replied to Slick Wilhelm's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hey Lou, thanks for that! I'll give that serious consideration. Btw, I just noticed that there are three Minnesotans in this thread! Slick I think there may be 6 of us Minnesotans ramblin' 'round the forum. Pretty good representation. I'm working on getting more and maybe some cheeseheads too. Slick, don't forget you need CFS3 too.
