usually, all you have to do is rerun cfs3config.exe (for BHAH). either go to the workshop, and lower panel on the right, click on the graphics config link. if for some reason you cant get that far, its in obdsoftware\cfsww1 over flanders fields\cfs3config.exe Here is a link for the settings in cfs3config that the off team recommends http://www.overflandersfields.com/Tips.htm if that doesnt work,,,you can get my configoverides.xml file here http://bhah.homeip.net:192/inbox/ConfigOverrides.xml it has to go in the path that the error message tells you. if you go this route, you should then run cfs3config,,cause you will have my settings (and i have an ati card), and im sure you want to have your settings.

well,,here is something to chew on... game keeps the last ip you connected to in your uisel.xml under the <multiplayer> section... in addition, there is an mpsettings.txt file in your campaigndata\default folder that has everything in the multiplayer section from the uisel, but on mine, it did not update the ip of the last person i joined. and i also noticed at the end,,there was no </muliplayer> ,,which seems like there should be.. and,,in the appdata\microsft\cfsww1 folder,,there is a recent.dat file... it has some of those special charaters in it,,but it also has alot of ips in it,,(at least on mine).... but i still am leaning on the need for a certain port to be open,,,,,,,

you mean any guesses........ When you uninstalled,,,did you get ALL the folders? including the ones in that appdata path thats all i can think of now....im sure u did the run as administrator thing,,, anymore info on exactly what the messages was bout the fatal error might prove helpful

actually,,,not completly true.... I was testing a mission one night,,and did it in mp just to be sure there would be no problems,,,there where some other players in a game with stump, and my game showed up on someones server list,,, so they joined my game (without even knocking i might add) my thinking is,,if it worked once,,there has to be a reason why it worked,,and if we can figure out why it worked,,,maybe we can get it working for everyone all the time,, no place to hide,,,,,,,,,

wow,,,i never even knew that file existed!..... and it answers one question ive had for a long time,,,that being the purpose of the default _t.dss file in the aircraft directory..... you have a lot of errors copying campaign skins there,,,but they should not have caused the game to crash, as it seems to just load the default skin for that plane in case it happens. what bothers me, is you are calling for a skin OFF_DH2_m16_t_RFC-32 1916.dds, but in my directory the file is called off_dh2_mid16_t_RFC-32 1916.dds..ie..you lost the "id" in mid. Now like i said,,it seems that kind of error is not fatal,,cause it just loads the default skin for the plane when this happens. it is also telling you the ace cant fly a fokker d1,,,which means to me your looking for a d1,,,when you should be looking for a DR1... and,,,there is a line in there ??Craft Invalid! RAF_FE8_SQ1 so,,if i where to guess,,,,id say you mission generator got screwed up. My first guess was maybe a problem with your aircraft directory, but im thinking now that is ok,,,its just the mission is screwed up. another thing you might want to post here,,if you have not run another campaign mission since this crash,,,is the off_camp_mission.xml that i belive is in your historical folder. I may be a little off on the name of the file, but that was close enough for you to find it. I would love to see what the mission.xml file looks like and compare it to what the log file says needed to be loaded. im not up on campaigns,,,but i would consider making a new pilot...starting a new campaign,,,and see if everything goes right.. and,,thanks again for bringing my attention to that file...lot of interesting info there on what goes on behind the scenes in a campaign mission.

i gotta start building a database with problems........ first thing i would do,,,if you have cfs3 installed,,,play that. If not,,,any other relativly new game that you may have would probably do. If the only place you have problems is BHAH, then you kinda narrowed it down to a software issue, and not a hardware issue. I remeber someone else haveing problems with trees,,,,and cant for the life of me think who it was.....or what the solution turned out to be. as far as sound,,do you get the meow,,and any other start up sounds? and,,question i hate to ask,,,did you install the smoke mod? its 630 edt here,,,will try and be on teamspeak at 730edt if you want to join in..

ok,,,will do it the quick way first....just the xdp and bdp files...look for it on teamspeak in about 10 mins do you have someone you can test this with?

if there are players who dont have it installed,,,and for whatever reason dont want to get it, it doesnt mean they cant play. All they have to do is get the new xdp/bdp files from someone who does have it, That is everything in the scenery\default folder. Am not sure if they need the air and cfg files that reside there. if they copy the new xdps into thier aircraft folder,,im pretty sure they will not mismatch..and pretty sure it wont cause other problems down the road. This worked in reverse the other nite,,,i have hir installed,,but dutch didnt, so i reloaded my OLD xdp/bdp....cant see why it wont work the other way. If everyone has hir,,its a mute point.. Am working, ,but will check thread to see if anyone is needs the files...if so,,will upload them. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK>>> also,,,as these are not really the "improvements" in hir,,,do not want this to be construed as giving someone something they should be paying for......these are just dm changes.

Hi, Yes, thats the thread i saw which led me to get maya (which from you last post on the thread, indicates i dont need it....),,,,,, so guess i need gmax if i want to make anything m3d. ok,,did some searching,,and there are posts that indicate 3dsmax is better than gmax...do you agree?, or should i just consider using gmax

played with dutch tonight, and for me at least,,the above proceedure worked. i took my files in the wwscenery folder for offline, (the dates for those files where older than what was in default) and copied them over to my aircraft folder in off... to get back to where i started, i would just have to go to workshop, and hit restore to default.

Beard,,,,not really sure where the installer puts what,,if you dont have mp contol on, and dont have autobackup offline on,,im going to assume that there is a chance your mp folder in ww1 scenery might have the old files still.....the dates of the files in there might tell you something,,,, im still working,,and gotta put the good computer away for the space,,or i would look there.. just a guess...

yep,,,new xdp files in hir

i was watching the files as they got installed,,and i belive there is a new xdp installed with hir,,,not sure if its just for engine sounds,,dm,,or what,,so thats probably why you are getting mismatches,,,, and now that there are new xdp and bdp files....might very well be a good idea to run thru the backup process again,,,but,,this is just a hunch,,, beard has been scoping out a utility for those ppl who wish to play modded. Might be a good idea for you all to look at it, and see if it will help sort out some problems associated with modded game play.

Av8ter,,,if you have the teamspeak overlay,,,fps is one of the options you have to be displayed,,, teamspeakoverlay.com i belive.....go to options,,and in the dropdown box,,find fps, and check it...
