Thanks for joining everyhone..... game is down been a long day, so diffinitly up for some flying, but imagination is zilch right now, so open to any and all suggestions as to what to play... ok..cant watch teamspeak and the game window at same time,,,,,,so if you come on ts,,,,,give me a sec to notice,,,, ax is gonna host for 30 mins or so,,,if you want to join,,,,get onto teamspeak....

is the the sub base facility??? I think pd was inna rush when he did that one,,,half the facilities are in the ocean...

i was think more along the idea of portaroom and,,,btw...seems the discont is now a measly 5 bucks off 149 for trackir5 If anyone comes across anything better for trackir4, please post the link, as the other one in this thread is the 5 dollar one.

what???? am i on the menu again??? First on all,,,(damn i wish we could clear this up).....Multiplayer has been only going on strong for what...2 months now? None of us (no offense to anyone), are "Great" pilots, than anyone that doesnt have basic flying skills is gonna get creamed by. Second, we really bend over backwards to run missions for new players that are "us", the humans,,,against "them" the ai......or just casual flying,,,following a river,,,formations etc, etc.. we play multiplayer for one reason,,to have fun, and make sure everyone else has fun too.. am sure that eventually it will faction off to more "competative" playing, but the fun will never come out of it.. that being said... open explorer, and find your obd software/cfs3wwi over flanders fields directory and find your cfs3mp.exe.....if you only see cfs3 wit no extension, go to "tools" (at the top of your explorer), folder options, and select the view tab, and deselct the button that says "hide extensions for known file types" or something close to that... Once you have found the cfs3mp.exe, right click on it,,,and select send to>desktop(create shortcut) now start the game from the shortcut you have just made. Hopefully, you will get to the point where you have the two medals,,,one mission, one multiplayer.. if you manage to get to this point,,,,then hit escape, and that should give you the hanger drop down, from that select the multiplayer options, and set internet to t1, and put a name in for yuourslef under call sign for lan player.... if none of this works for you, i hope to be on teamspeak around 8ish edt for a mp session. But we always put off playing to help a new player, so if you can get on, we will do whatever it takes to get you up and running... just a quick thout,,,there is a security alert that windows gives alot of players when they try mp, unfortunaly, it is always behind the game window, and they dont get to see it.. Have you seen any alerts to block or unblock directgameplay8, or somthing close to that?

hmmmm,,, cfs3 and bhah have nothing to do with each other, as you can uninstall cfs3 after you have installed bhah, and its gottin all the files you need.. making the assumption you have the older cd version of cfs3 so you need to get your files from an installation of cfs3, and dont have the luxery of telling it to get them from disk. But, i suppose if your cfs3 was corrupt,,,and it was coping these files, it would give you problems.. but the folders uncleal is referring to are the c:\documents and settings\xxxxxxxx\application date (appdat in vista)\microsoft\cfsww1 over flanders fields xxxxx in this case can be either administator, or your user name, depending on how the computer was set up.. and the other folder is..c:\documents and settings\xxxxxx\cfsww1 overflanders fields suppose defragging never hurts,, maybe for nothing more than piece of mind, if you are going to uninstall and reinstall bhan again, you should remove cfs3, and reinstall it. Make sure the folders for cfs3 in the paths listed above for BHAH get removed too......If i went this route, i would make sure cfs3 plays....even go as far as hosting a game in it...the proceedure is exactly the same as it is in bhah....with the exception of not having the off manager screen naturally. I am not recommending you remove cfs3 mind you....thats up to you.. just out of curiosity,,,how does cfs3 play? any problems in that?

well,,just because a plane is flyable in one mission, doesnt mean it is flyable in another mission.. By flyable, i mean it has a cockpit... When someone builds a mission, and they want to add a plane, they have around 5 different "varieties" (for lack of the proper word), of each plane. Only one of them is flyable, and it ends with and *...... If one mission you fly had a fokker_dvll* plane in it, you will have a cockpit, if another mission you fly has a fokker_dvll_ac1 in it, you might be able to pick the plane, but you will not have a cockpit,,,you get that funky view like your right behind the prop...

uncleal,,, is that true of all the other runtime errors we see posted..? some say cant draw object,,some say can't create object....

hi,,, sound like you have everything right, and thanks for clearing up the tilde/accent key thing,,i always called it tilde.. If you have something "targeted" on your tac (its yellow), and you are in cockpit view..or vc view, and hit the accent key, then your eyes should stay on that target no matter where you turn. It will not work if you are in any of the "external views", and there is a good chance it wont work if you have track ir ON....only reason i say this is cause i know my hat switch for panning views does not work when my track ir is on...but since i got my track ir, i stopped using the accent key. and yes,,I key will toggle targeting cone unless you have disabled the targeting cone in your cfs3config file...(overides section)

np on the leaving,,,,, but if you want to keep the axe plane in your missions, think you should have matt include it in the installer,,,thout the idea was to get it to the point people didnt have to run around getting files.... and, dont feel right telling people if they want to fly with me, they have to join d&h

ax,,,,when you get a chance,,,look at those missions you have on the installer, and edit out the nieuport_axe plane...

oh,,,sorry joker, thout it was you getting the extremely low frame rate......... but to answer your question about the fps, there are 2 settings for fps, one is for qc and campaihn, and another is for mp...did you do both? saburo, I dont know enought about all the different mb's out there to make a suggestion. When i built mine, i went to newegg,,,i knew what i wanted my board to support, so i just selected all the options from thier list, and then looked at prices, and reviews... you can make a wishlist there,,,,and put togher a couple different sytesm to compare prices.. As far as the video card, dont think you can go wrong with the gtx280. Now whether or not you will get the full potential of that card from your board/procesoor/memory is another question... Memory is reasonalbe these days, but reseach what you are buying first,,,,,i was thrilled the memory i got was so affordable,,,but when i found out what the timing cycles are on it,,,now i know why it was so cheap,,, But there are alot of people out there that know more about it then me...

Sounds to me like you are flying an "ai" plane,,,,, About the only way i know of to get into an ai plane is to fly a prepared mission, and pick a plane that was set by the mission builder to be an ai plane, and not flown by the person playing the mission.. see how the camels have the asterick after them,,,,that means the are flyable planes, they have cockpits and such,,,,,the spads dont have the astereick, meaning the are just ai planes, (not necessarily enemy planes,,,,) Supposedly its done this way to cut down on disk space usage, as the ai planes dont have anywhere near as much data as flyable planes. There is a way to remedy the situation. You have to open the mission you are flying in mission builder, and make all the "ai" planes flyable ones. if i am right about the manner in which you are getting the ai planes, and want to edit the mission, post it here, and either me or someone else will be sure to try and walk you thru editing a mission to make ai planes flyable...

curious,,,what does track ir cost over there?

ok,,,then from my limited use of paint programs,,,,after you have erased all that,,,then you set the erased part color (white im assuming) to "transparancy" and then copy and paste the pic into whatever you want,,,, that about it?

wow,,,nice pic,, would love to get a pic of my house off google earth, and then put myself flying a dvll over it,,, is there alot of time involved in this process?

lol....well,,,,thinking back on the number of posts that i have thout about making,,but didnt, (and glad i didnt)...i hope this doesnt turn out to be one of them... Personnaly, imho, etc etc,,,,there are plenty of sites out there that are dedicated to flight sims in general, with no allegiance to any one particular game or genre... If for no other reason than to show a degree of loyalty to the people that gave this community two phases free, and BHAH, I dont see any reason for discussing a competitors game in this forum. And there will be some that say they are not promoting the game, but promoting wwi sims in gerenal, and try and pass that off as a good thing. But I find it hard to belive that anyone would not agree the devs are not thrilled about seeing threads like this develope, and if for no other reason than that I hope this is the last one we ever see...
