And yes, joing mp is just a matter of entering the hosts ip after you have gottin to the join private game option. planes you probably should get are the gotha and zepplin, as we us them alot in missions.. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=41774 go to posts #4 and #5 for these planes. They go into your airplane folder in your overflandersfields directory.... that is usa time,,,(sorry), but we have been doing afternoon sessions for pilots in the uk and italy. Im sure we can work a time out for a few mp games that would be both good for you and good for us....no use having to play at 3am..... look forward to seeing you in a game! ps...so,,whos the better pilot,,,you or your dad??????

phil,,,its a setting called stero mix....if you have ever been on teamspeak with me and gotten that incredible echo,,,then its enabled...so i have to disable it.... unfortunaly, what that does is kill the sound going to fraps...... seems like somehow there should be a way to get around this,,,but damn if i know how...

Anyone wanting to join is more than welcome. 95% if what we do is missions, so its all of us against the ai. Dont have to worry about getting into a game where you lifespan is measured in seconds.. Will try and be on teamspeak around 2ish to help anyone that needs to iron out problems.

and, also, we plan a nice mp session saterday, at 3est. if you want to try and join, im sure you will enjoy it. Will almost have to have teamspeak, and a mic. Ill get on teamspeak a little early (2ish edt) to try and help you with any problems if you want.. opps..sorry,,just read about your internet problem,,,,,try and get that squared away if you can,,,,,,mp is too much fun to be missing out on it

if i remeber right,,,there was an mp problem when off3 first game out. It was resolve with the next patch. The latest patch (1.30 with the 1.30c minimatch) installed on BOTH computers should fix the problem In addition, you should get the 1.30c optional hardcore damage model, as this is what all the mp online pilots are playing with.... and the cfs3mp.exe is something you get after you install the patches...( i think this is what fixed the mismatch aircraft problem in ver 1.0)

Hopefully some new settings in my router have solved that. will be on teamspeak..

dont know if you saw this post, (i know its about win7). http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/show...ad.php?p=128844 would not hurt to uninstal video drivers, and reinstall again, (if it hasnt been tried already) Have seen numerouse posts about nvida that say you HAVE to uninstall existing, before reinstalling or upgrading drivers. And, if you go this route, i would redo my cfs3cong settings again afterwards...you may end up having to..(msg cfs3config out of date)

After you install your teamspeak client software, settings are as follows server addres is 217.155.102.217:8767 (note colon befor 8767) Logon name is whatever you chose Password is camel Suggest you leave the setting "push to talk", until such time as you are comfortable with your input output settings.

Hi, well,,i didnt want to suggest you steer clear of the idea. It DOES work with off because there have been numerous posts about it..and, those who have it swear by it. I am a bit surprised that someone that has it hasnt posted a response..

Well,,,being a bigshot,,,we kinda let him CJ and oldham,,,would love to have you join us, but oldham,,,not sure why you are so concerned about a firewall....first,,windows comes with one,,and alot of us turn ours off when we start mp...

i have it..only cause i wanted more than 4gig ram, and im too lazy to learn vista. But like said,,the driver support is an issue, so you have to take a good look at what you plan to put on there, and make sure you have drivers... My old computer had a brand new Linksys wireless card with speedboost, and when i put it in this one i could NOT fine drivers that worked for it....so until i got my own internet, i had to keep my old computer running, and it shared its internet with this one thru a hardwire.... And i have a saitek joystick,,,admitedly on older version (x45), and cant get the profile software to work with that either. Im not even sure if i get the newer one (x52) there is a package out there that will work. As long as this post is up, would appreciate knowing if there are performance improvements on vista64 over xp54. Aside from the drivers issues, everything runs great, i just cant tell you if it would run better under a different os. Quick note on win7,,,,at this point in time, mp will not run under it. If you never plan to do mp (which would be a shame,,,,,,), then its not an issue
