Ditto on trackIr ver 5.0. The interface is pretty cool....spent a half hour playaing there...but got subtle yet deffinite "jerkiness" in the game. Wonder if they (build 47 and ver 5.0) are for trackir5 only

Fuel train is a must try too.... hint,,,,attack the 2nd train from the front only, and break off fast...or else.

hmm,,,sorry i put you thru all that... wont even give you the "better you than me routine" :) too bad,,,we need a utility like that,,,,,, but anyways,,,here are some go arounds..... if you are doing campaingn,,,not sure if this is going to work too much, only cause the offmanager plays a more important part in campain than in qc, stand alone missions, or mp for missions, start from the offmanger, click on multiplayer (seems to be a problem getting to the missions medal from off mangaer directly), and after selecting any of the custom missions from the drop down, you end up at the mission and multiplayer screen. from here you can easily get into taskmanager. find your offmanager in the processes tab, and kill it. now you will be able to tab out of your mission or mp game without any problem. you can also make shortcuts on your desktop to cfs3.exe (for quick combat), and cfs3mp.exe (for missions and multiplayer). and start them from there rather than go thru the manager. If you do this, you will get the occaisionl situation where you dont have the medals you expected to get. (ie,,,cfs3mp.exe is giving you just a qc medal, and not the mision/mp medal). when this happens you have to go back to offmanger, and select the type of game you want, and then let it get to the point where you have the medal you want. then you can kill the manager again. Not sure the best way of describing what is happening here, other than to say the game remebers what you played last, and gives you the same medal for it...or something like that. some time soon i have to reload my os. before i take that plunge, i may give playexpert a shot.

Anyone wanting to see an incredible display of firepower from the ground, get into pds fuel train mission, and make a beehive for the second train. Send a wingman in to attack it first, from the rear, and stay off to the side so you can watch the action. Tried to make a fraps out of it, but they just didnt do the action justice.

ok,,another "just curious" question... did the cowling on the group icon change? I dont ever remeber seeing the red white green...(and im italian)

am not sure if i understand the question correctly...but im sure there are other "unofficial" tracers, but dont think you are going to find anything better than what we have in the latest patch.

Hi the problem of not being able to get out of the game window to your desktop and back into the game has been there forever. Been told its a carryover from cfs3. Rather than explain everything i do to get around the problem, i am going to suggest you take a look at "playexpert" There is a banner at the top of the page for it here. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?act=idx I took a quick look at it, and from what i can tell its a utility that lets you get in and out of game windows. Evidently the "problem" exists in a lot of other games too. lol..not even going to hide the fact im looking for people to try this before i do.... so if you happen to give it a shot,,,,let us know what you think of it. and if your still looking for warpzap let me know

game is down, but will back up around 430 edt will be either me or gary hosting 96.32.1.106 75.67.5.13 try both if one does not connect having problems with mismatched aircraft, so game may be down for a min. Would appreciate other players joining, so we can take a better look at what might be the problem. We are both at 1.30c with hardcore model will watch tac for players

and, just got another pilot with the same problem. Had to send them all my qc xdp files. Dont know yet what os stump is on, but they have vista64 and/or i could just put up on of theirs and one of mine for the same plane, and have someone with more expertise look at it.... Also, to clarify the problem, all the aircraft are present, and the problem exists for all the qc aircraft. its just for some reason, the xdp file for the qc planes (ie the multiplayer planes) for some pilots are different. If i were to guess, id guess the xdp files are not getting updated when they apply the dm patch.

could be wrong, but i think cfs3config.exe goes alot farther than the config.xml. buy glad your up and running

yes, we did. And the same thing happened to him when the 1.30b came out, i had to send him all my qc planes's xdp files. Might be others with the same situation, but they wont be aware of it unless they happen to try to join a mp game.

sorry if i misled you...the off2 MISSIONS are not playable in off3....the zepplin and gotha and pylons etc work fine....

hi, phase 2 missions cannot be played in phase 3 (sorry) always looking for more pilots to do mp in bhah, so just keep your eye on the mp thread. and if you ever get any info on over olags fields, pass it on. Ive heard of it,,,but just cant seem to find any info on it

whew,,,that was onna the biggest pains in the ass i have had to go thru.. This is for getting sound in fraps when it is not present Wont bothere you with all i went thru to figure this out (i want to...but i wont) Cultprit for me was a slider/setting called "stero mix" Now not all ppl have this slider in thier sound settings. There are alot of walkthrus that explain how to get it back into sound settings if you have to. (googel it.) but before you go thru all that..make sure that you dont have the option in the sound software that usually installs with either your sound card or your onboard sound ....u know,,the little sound utility icon down by the clock (not the volume..) Stero mix (for me at least) has to be enabled for me to get sound in fraps. Its a funky little setting, and what i think it does is combine the sound output (what is going to the speakers) and the sound input (what might be coming out of the mic) all into one. So even thou i use headphones and a mic (i dont have speakers), with this setting on, in a multiplayer game,, everyone else on teamspeak could hear my planes engine,,,my guns if i fired,,,and had a terrible echo. ie,,it was channeling the sound going to my headphones into the output of my mic.. if you dont have the stero mix in any of your settings, there is one more way to enable it. contol panel>sounds and audio devices (in xp anyways)>voice tab>test hardware> wizard opens up,,,,does this little test first,,,then gives you a blog to read while u watch a mic volume meter Insert shows what to do next. Luckily for me, i did find a stero mix setting in my realtek sound utility, so i dont have to go thru all that above if i want to do fraps. and have no idea what the ramifications are (other than screwing up teamspeak) if you leave that setting deselcted. hope that helps.

hmm,,,last time i checked,,,thought providence was in ri? lol...anyways,,i put up mp games alot. sometimes there are players,,sometimes there arnt. always post the fact that game is up in mp section of the forum. If you can get a hold of a mic, and teamspeak it always helps. walmart still has a pretty nice combo headphone/mic for 18.00.

i did the video overclock on my ati4870 too. Thought everything was running great till i flew into a cloud...the artifacts were absolutly unbeliveable...big white squares everywhere as i spun around likka top. Quickly went back and reset the card to factory clock settings.
