if you want,,,,,at the bottom of the screen when you are posting a message,,there is and upload button,,,,,and a browse to the left of it...browse to the appcompat file,,,and upload it,,,the click on mange current attachments,,,and click on the green plus sighn,,,that will put a link to the file in your message,,,and then people can look thru it,,and maybe someone will spot the problem

ok,,,the mdmp is a "minidump", so i gotta feeling all three files you listed are all error reporting files. so,,,i think you have to take a good look at that appcompat file,,,to find something that indicates what the problem is. and,,like i said,,,run everything you have in the way of virus/addware removal...

I tried for weeks to get rid of it, (and im pretty good at adware), and had no luck. this did it in 10 minutes. will keep looking for anymore info

So going to assume that the files you posted are not the problem, they are just files created as a result of some othere problem.....im sure if you look at the text file its gonna be like it was in greek,,,but,,,somewhere in there,,,it may point you to the reason windows shut down.

lol..yeah,,thats the one i musta been looking at. my board supports both, (dual and quad) so i figured if i have to upgrade for the next generation of games..im all set,,, But, not quite sure if even rof is going to benifit from quad core.....could be wrong. and have always said, imho, its crazy to build something "for the moment"......you are wasting your money if you dont shoot for a system that will not be obsolete too soon. and also,,imho,,,,know you have already gone out and made a commitment,,,but when researching drives...most of what i saw lead me to belive that a 7200rpm raid(0) system would give you performance benifits over a single 10000 rpm drives. (llike i said,,,imho) But it would be a shame to have a system like that,,and only have 3.5 or 4 gigs of ram.

damn,,first of all,,,how you get all that for 1400??? The i7 chip i was looking at when i built my sytem was 800 bucks alone and think it would be a waste to put an i7 behind xp, and limit yourself to 3.5gigs. I have xp64, (only for the memory), but cant say i would recommend it, only because i dont know if there would be any performance improvements if i was running vista64.

I do alot of low level "scenic" flying, and this is the first time I've ever seen smoke coming off of houses. Would have noticed before, as there has never been much of anything to indicate wind direction and speed. ( It looks alot better when you can see the smoke moving ). Have not changed any settings recently. Has this always been around? Or did I just happen to stumble upon a map area that had this great feature.

PD, if you get a chance, can you check missions 3 4 5 and 6 from you mission pac. We seem to get kicked back to the desktop when trying to run them. I downloaded the updated zip file, not the old one.

generally, if you right click on a dvd icon, and there is either a bad disk,,or nothing present, you will get the "please insert disc in drive d" message, or something close to that. I take it from your post, that you are not getting that message. dont suppose you have anything else around like another computer or laptop that you could stick that dvd in? (i am assmuing its a dvd) and,,because you didnt indicate you got the above message,,,does the lite on the dvd or cd player stay on,,,on just sit there blinking? If i get that condition, i ususally clean disk and drive.

I dying to see an off4, like most of us. And, like most of us, want to see the devs get compensated for their efforts. So take advantage of the loyalty out there, and let us pilots do whatever we can to make an off4 happen. and dont take these suggestions as "off the wall", I think they are really quite good First would be a BHAH calander. Anyone wishing could submit a screenshot(s), and we could vote on 13 (12 plus a coverpage). In addition,,,all you historical fanatics out there could come up with noteworthy historical tidbits of information (ie...Feb 18...such and such German Ace shot down). Ive tried mp formation flying several times, and only with one pilot. It was suppose to lead up to maybe 3 or 4 pilots doing some pretty nice manuvers in formation. when i saw how hard it was just to fly straight and level with another plane, and almost impossible to keep a tight formation when they started even shallow turns, i kinda gave up on the idea. But im sure practice make perfect. If you get a chance,,,make up a fraps...

Hi, without sticking out my foot tooo far,,,yes,,i think it can be done... reason i say this, is that pd recently put up an off3 mission, but it called for a facility that was not in the off3 facility directory. the facility was the port sub base medium, and he had to make that facility available for download. now, if you look in your cfs3 facility directory, you will find the port sub base. I am going to assume the cfs3 xml would NOT work in off3, and changes had to be made, ( granted a guess,,,but an educated guess). so,,,if you want,,,get pds port sub base download http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8740 and compare it to the one in your cfs3 facilites folder,,,and see what the differences are. Hopefully they will be relativly obviouse. This is all guesswork here,,,i dont have a clue what is even in a facilties xml file...but worth looking at. If you manage to convert anything cool...let me know,,,ill try them in a quickie mission.
