sure you will get the newest drivers rather than use the install cd. 9.4 just game out and finally got around to trying some overclocking on my 4870. un locked the overdrive window, and ran auto tune, which took close to 45 mins on my system. It gave me results that pretty much maxed out the gpu and memory clock, but when i ran the game with the overclocked settings i got terribel results. Not sure if i should have restarted computer before playing, but went in and manually set the gpu from 500 to 810, and mem clock from 900 to 1000. game plays great, and frame rate increased about 15%. card still sits at around 48c. After i let these settings sit for a while im sure i will try and raise it up abit. Kinda thout i would have to push my cpu (3.16 e8500) before i would see any positive results in video performance, but i guess i was wrong. also, and not sure exactly how this works, but games need to be sli or crossfire enabled, to take advantage of this. i doubt that off3 is crossfired enabled. so dont go that route just for off3.

no,,it doesnt appear that you are doing anything wrong,,,, xml files in historical should show up in campaign tab, xml files in what if should show up in quick combat tab. but just to be sure,,,here are my historical and what if folders. I added a folder to the "what if" folder, and called it test. if you have your xml files in a folder within the missions folder, they will not show up.....dont think you did this,,,,but just dbl checking

you can uninstall cfs3 after off is instlled...once it gets the files it needs, its thru with cfs3 not saying your method will or will not work, just seems like a lot of hassle when you can just uninstall

dont take much to motivate me,,,,its bout 830 here,,,and i only got about an hour,,,but i will put up a dogfight, and get all the stuff for pds missions. or,,if someone already has everything and wants to host,,,thats fine with me too will get on teamspeak now give me a few to get mp game up axe,,,,game was only up for about a half hour last nite,,,didnt have that much time,,,, fyi,,,any one who hasnt gotten the new smoke traces should,,,,,,,,,,,,they really add alot of eye candy to the game....

ok,,,hope this is not wrong info you can copy the xml file to either the historical or whatif folder also, and they should show up assuming you are starting from the offmanager, and hitting missions at the bottom, at the next screen at the bottom drop down select turkey shoot,,,doesnt matter which one. Nexy window has 2 medals,...select missions medal, then you get a fly out,,,,on the right of the flyout you see campains, hmmm,,something else,,lol,,,and traingin,,,im pretty sure the campaigs one shows whats in historical, and the middle one shows whats is "what if"...bottome is training,, if your not seeing whats in the folders,,,you may be moving FOLDERS into yoru historical and what if folders, instead of just the mission xml file

Seem to remember a couple posts that said the vertex buffers and index buffers should be disabled for ati cards,,,and the write only buffers are for both. but i guess if it works,,,thats whats important, remeber seeing a post that to some extent explaind all those settings, and what they actually do. If anyone should happen across it would appreciate them posting a link.

Thanks alot pd Had several requests for zeppilen and gotha's..Realise there dont seem to be any missions at this time that need tthe gothas but on the assumption at some point in time there will be, if you could upload them would appreciate it. And on some of your uploads, you have a comment on the download file, and in the readme.txt as follows install these folders into your PHASE-3 main game folder and answer ''yes to all'' when prompted. but when unrar'd, all you get are the xml files, that need to be manually moved to correct folders. Could be confusing to someoone not accustome to what files go into what folders.

hi, like the other post said,,,in notpad go to edit > find > and paste this in <Tracer_and_Smoke ClassName="TracerEffect" TracerLength="1.7 and hit find next... just make sure you know EXACTLY what the line above what you are going to be deleting looks like, so if for any reason you loose your place in notepad before you go to paste the new text in, you know where to put it.

its the port sub base in mission 3. not sure if that facility is available for downloading

wish i could say i had a clue, but i dont, doesnt sound like your system, cause everything else plays fine. you could try the reset cfs3, in workshop, and ive seen deleting your uisel.xml solve some quirk problems ( game will generate new one when it starts again )and there is always the obvious,,uninstall, and reinstall... hope you get it sorted out.
