New motherboard, installed os and game,,and cant host,,,mouse turns into a hourglass for a sec,,then back to a arrow, and nothing happens. reinstalled everything,,and same thing.... spent countless hours with settings, cables, the works. one thing i did notice,,,was a "dpnserver" rule in my portforwarding that i never put there...so for whatever reason,,i got into my router, got to the portforwarding section, started the game, and alt tabbed back to the router page to see what was happening... This is kinda of unbelivable...no application should be able to access the router, and make a rule...but the first pic shows the rules that get made just by starting up the game...the second pic shows the changes to the rules that get made just by clicking on the multiplayer tab.... needless to say,,a new router is on its way...

lol..thanks for the offer gb,,but i got too many here I dont know what to do with them all. but,,this is the router that comes from the provider,,combo modem/router,,,i cant swap it for different brand

you mention reginal settings...are you in us>? if not,,seems 2 me i remeber a post about making sure the decimal is converted right,,or something like that....

If we are starting from scratch, can we go ahead and install everything one after another (bhah>superpatch>minipatch>HiR>Hir minipatch) without running BHAH at any time durring the process,,,or should we run it at some point to set up some files....

ok,,thanks.... another question....i just did installe cfs3 and bhah,,,,and damn if i didnt forget to patch cfs3 to 3.1 before i installed the above sequence. Funny thing is,,other than not being able to host a mp game (in either cfs3 or bhah), i dont see any implications of not doing the 3.1 patch. Just what are the problems of installing bhah on a 3.0 install of bhah??

Took a chance,,and ordered a new board like the last, and guess i got lucky, cause this one worked fine. still got a ton of stuff to get on,,but should be up for something tonight...

gotta stop restoring this,,and get some work done,,,but should be ready by 8edt if anyone is interestd. i have no missions on here,,,and not even sure if i can host.....

missions can go into either historical,,what if or training folders, all located in your mission folder to get into a mission in any of these folders, this is what i do. start off...click on the multiplayer option..at next screen just hit start/go fly that should take you to the window with a mission and multiplayer ribbon. If you select the mission medal you dont get the option of picking which side you fly for in the mission or the plane you fly. You are automatically assignd the plane in the mission that is designated as the "player" aircraft. There are three tabs on the flyout that are hard to read...i think they say something like campaign, training....and i forget the third. These correspond in the mission in your Historcal, training and what if folders inside your mission folder. I forget which folder is which tab. Pick a mission, and hit fly if you pick the multiplay medal, and then select host game, and click on the "mission" radial at the top of the flyout, then you get a window that lumps ALL the missions in your historical, training and what if folder. you also get some settings such as unlimited ammo, targeting aids,,under the realism button. chose how you want to play the game, and then hit next. DESELECT publish my game in cfsmatch, or something close to that. give the game a name,,and hit start. You will get to chose which side you want to fly for (but,,,some mission only have planes with cockpits on one side,,not both) next screen you select the plane you want to fly,,,click on it, and hit switch to position, then hit ready to fly, then hit fly... hope that was clear.

While these maps are still great, the problem still lies with the games terrain. Granted, there are a few roads and rivers in the terrain that will match up somewhat to a map, but for the most part, the road and rivers in the game terrain seem to be random, and as such, its dificult to get to an objecive without waypoints, and just using a paper map. IMHO, what we need is someone with the time to take what we see in the game terrain (like all those lakes we see that are not on any maps), and add it to a good map (was thinking of the flanders set, as they alreayd have the aerodromes). I moved a Vampire from cfs3 into my game, and flew it at 40,000, and started to add some roads, and rivers into my flanders maps,,,but to be honest, i really dont have the time to do the job correctly...maybe someone else does.

went to put my new board in today, and that went worse than i could ever imagine. Constantly got a blue screen eventually at all sorts of different times while trying to install the os.. decided to put my old board back in,,and totally reload that...and manage to bend a couple of pins on the cpu socket on the mb,,,,hell,,i didnt even know the friggin things had pins...i thout they where just little "nubs" that made contact.... anyways,,im otta business forra while...i dont even have a clue where the problem is,,unless i got sent a bad board.
