Well, thank goodness for that, and we've no reason to doubt you at all. However, I am curious. Would it be too much for us to ask you to link us up to your second post where he evidently felt compelled to " tear into you viciously for no good reason"?? I'm eager to see just how unacceptable and "vicious" his comments were, because typically, if I had have seen a post like that, I would have said something to him about it. I guess I must have missed it. Cheers, Parky

If you get a black one, I think it means you've been banned from the entire internet. Let's hope it's only a red one..... Btw.....I was already a step ahead of you.....lol Thanks Rob, Parky

Al has always had a tendency to walk a bit of a tightrope when it comes to forum "rules". He can seem downright abrasive and pretty "political" at times with some of his posts. At other times, I can't even understand what the hell he's talking about and he's just a welcome source of amusement....lol. As I said earlier, he's managed to get under my skin a couple of times, but never to the point where I couldn't loosen up my interpretation of his intentions to the point where they seemed more or less acceptable. I don't think he ever really means any harm, regardless of how inappropriate his comments may seem at times (notice I said "seem".....because it's mostly about how we "perceive" what's been said, not so much about wether it exceeds acceptable limits or not). I have no idea what he did or said that "seemed" extreme enough to warrant a ban (if that's what happened), but we have to understand that the moderators in here have a job to do....and it can be a thankless job at that. From what I've seen so far, they do an outstanding job of keeping things within acceptable limits, so I certainly wouldn't second-guess their right to impose penalties where they decide penalties are due. Having said that, Al has been a great contributor to these forums, both with his tips and tricks, as well as with his "well-intentioned" responses to people seeking answers to a variety of questions. Yes, I know.....sometimes the responses can seem a bit harsh. Sometimes they're just hard to decipher....lol. One thing I do know about Al though. If he walks (or wheels himself rather) out his front door, and runs over something brown and foul smelling that looks like s**t, then sees you leaving the area with your Wheaten Terrier, he's likely to look you in they eye and tell you your dog just s**t on his lawn. I've always admired that about him.... If there is a ban in place, hopefully it's temporary and can be lifted after a bit of a cooling off period. I for one, am already starting to miss the old fart..... Cheers, Parky

Win7 64-Bit.............wouldn't go back to XP if you payed me. Not that there's anything terribly wrong with that OS, but it would almost be like going from XP back to Windows 98 as far as I'm concerned Cheers, Parky

I'll second that.......and it comes as no surprise at all that further improvements are already on the way. Outstanding!!! Cheers, Parky

And here I was, thinking you were going to "educate" Herr Olham by pointing out that I deliberately used quotion marks around the term "game" for a reason......lol Don't they have quotation marks in Germany, or is it that they just don't understand what they mean?? Come to think of it......that's all it really takes to start a war......a bit of misunderstanding, right? (That was a weak attempt to stay on topic......I think) Parky

Powerful stuff.....thanks for sharing. Cheers, Parky

It did, Olham. It gave Winder and the rest of the OBD team something to model this "game" after... Cheers, Parky

I'm with BD....Al's annoyed the piss out of me on more than one occasion. Never once offended me to the point where I couldn't read vetween the lines, do a double take, and then understand his "real" intentions though. Sometimes it's all about perception; Not so much about what's been said. I say cut him a bit of slack.... Cheers, Parky

There are actually 3 varieties of the type of camel seen in that second video. The first is known as the "Dromedary". These are the ones that are most common and only have one hump. The second type, which has two humps, but is much less common, is known as the "Bactrian" camel. The third type is extremely rare, and has absolutely no hump at all. He's known as "Humphrey".

Thinking about buying but...

It doesn't get much clearer than that. Now if only Oleg could be anywhere NEAR that clear when it comes to the release date of SOW....lol. Now I can comfortably get back to having my wings shot off without eager anticipation screwing up my concentration. Thanks Winder, "Sparky" -
Hi Dragonfly, Open up whichever e-mail client you normally use. Using the same account you used when you made the purchase, send an e-mail with your purchase details off to support@overflandersfields.com. Obviously you won't be able to use the direct link. You'll have to copy and past or simply type the e-mail address in manually. That should eliminate the need to create an Outlook account. Hope that helps.... Cheers, Parky

Compliments of the bride. She's got a thing for satin sheets too, but I don't wanna' get too far OFF topic here.... Just finished watching that clip..........well worth the download! I love your choice of music. Perfect for that theatre of operations. Very immersive. The 3rd person perspective really adds to it as well......very nicely done indeed. I notice you seem to run into the same problem I do when flying that Brisfit...no air brakes......lol. That aircraft, even in the shallowest of nose down attitudes, will continue to accelerate like hell even when you cut the throttle completely. Tough to pull the reins in on her, and many is the time that I've run right up someone's arse as a result. Noticed you had a couple of close calls there yourself. You did well to avoid collisions. Nice bit of flying.....good kills. Any plans to put one up from the rear gunner's perspective??? I'd love to see it! Cheers, Parky -

Lol......here, have a Kleenex....lol. Actually old chap, when I hit the link it said "buffering"......looked like it was going to take longer than the entire first world war. Decided it would be quicker to download it than let it stream. Download in progress... Btw.....it had better be good.....after eating up all my bandwidth like that.... Critique to follow.... Outstanding SA and gunnery being displayed there!! The other thing that really stands out is your mastery of the Tripe's flight characteristics. Poor buggers didn't stand a chance. Couldn't help but notice that only one of them ever seems to fire a shot in anger at you. Perhpaps when you set the AI difficulty to "Ace", they thought it said "Arse"?? From my experience, the DIII's can be like shooting fish in a barrel at times, and yes, the earlier models do seem to go down in flames a lot easier than the later offerings. Try that same scenario against some DRI's and I think you're far more likely to sustain some serious battle damage....if you survive at all. Unlike the DIII's, the DRI's will be much better able to turn with you and can ruin your day in a hurry if you're not extremely careful about watching your six. It's happened to me...several times....lol. Really enjoyed watching that......brilliant piece of flying!! Keep 'em coming. Cheers, Parky -

So....what you're saying in essence, is size really does matter? Cheers, Parky

LMAO!!!!! Yeah.....I don't think that was supposed to happen either. I for one, thought I was seeing things when it went in. When the camera panned to the sidelines, the expression on Beckham's face told me it was for real though.......ouch. Interestingly enough, although soccer isn't perceived as being a popular sport in the USA, apparently there are about 90 million Americans involved in the sport in some way or another. That's roughly 30 million more people than the entire population in the UK (according to 2009 estimates). Don't fret Widowmaker, perhaps one day you'll be able to come over and here kick their asses in a game of lawn darts..... Cheers, Parky

OT: I Know It's Not OFF, But Still...

Did a lil' digging and found out where the allaircraftarcade.com website/forums disappeared to. You can find 'em over here: http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/index.php Your log-in info from the old site will still work (well, mine did). The Canvas Knights section of the forum is still there. Last post was June 3rd I think. Regardless, if you're at all fond of IL2, that site is an absolute must have! Tons of good add-ons and info available there.... Cheers, Parky -
No need for sympathy. I have nobody to blame but myself. I set fire to my left leg with a Bic lighter....deliberately. Hell no...that would be totally inappropriate....not to mention it might obscure my view of the next target. Maybe a couple of eyelids and a testicle stuck to the leading edge of the lower wing would add a nice touch. Any chance we can have that included in Phase IV? Cheers, Parky

That was exactly the point I was trying to make....thanks for articulating it so much better than I did....lol. Cheers, Parky

Without trying to be political, the very few sad morons who have a hard time discerning between what's acceptable in a video game vs what's acceptable in the real world, shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets to begin with. My two Canadian cents worth....... (Dark Messiah, huh? Think I'll have to look into that when I get done with Dragon Age) Cheers, Parky

Forum was down for maintenance for quite some time yesterday. Shortly after that it was completely offline. Something obviously got glitched and I assume they're trying their best to fix it. Best we can do is wish 'em well I s'pose.... Cheers, Parky

Don't have any experience with the USB thingy, but on a whim decided to just attach the hat clip to the headband on my headset. Just clips right on with a bit of bending. Works well.....particularly if you find wearing a Toronto Blue Jays ballcap in the cockpit of a Tripe is just plain silly....not to mention it's damed uncomfortable when you add a headset to the mix.
