I just found this out - James McCudden didn't ...
Creaghorn replied to a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
As long as i know tsar nikolaus, wilhelm II. and george V. were even cousins. and the british royal family had the surname Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha, which they changed into windsor in 1917 due to political pressure of the british people and their antigerman attitude. don't know if true, but i heard that officially russia and japan are still in war because there was never a peace treaty since then to this day. -
I'm gonna be a Grand-Dad
Creaghorn replied to Cameljockey's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
cool . congrats to you and your daughter. . i think, beeing a granddaddy is a great job. you'll always be the good cop in the good cop/bad cop game the parents will have with her. you can always enjoy the good things with her, but when it's getting too tough, then you simply give her back to the parents and say "enough for today". a privilege only grandparents have. may she be blessed. -
the thing i know best from lousiana is tony joe white with his swamp rock. interesting dialect btw. in lousiana (where even a non-native english speaker like me hears the difference. if at all, then most non americans can seperate between texas dialect and eastcoast dialect.)

no. nürnberg has a famous circuit (not for F1 but for stockcar etc.) called noris-ring. famous because it's the only city-circuit in europe (a circuit which is open for traffic in the times between races) next to monte carlo. but nürburgring, the F1 circuit is from nürburg, not nürnberg. nürburg is somewhat near the french border and many miles away from nürnberg. nürnberg is one of the history richest towns in europe regarding medieval times and knighthoods etc. with lot of culture and inventions and firstintheworlds over the centuries. that's why hitler chose it as the town for the reichsparteitag instead of berlin (the events everybody knows from footage, him beeing on a podest in front of thousands of people blah) that's why nürnberg was badly bombed in WWII and why nürnberg was chosen as place for the trials where the surviving NS members got trialed (nürnberg trial). nowadays the hughe podest and tribune and marching fields etc. still exist and look like the events happened last week and not 70 years ago. but it's now used for skaters, field hockey, squash, sitting about in the sun, showing off cars and bikes etc. a place to meet and sit and relax, looking for chicks etc. @olham gremlin is in munich i think.

nr. 9 is part of old town in nürnberg or nuremberg in english. although not the town and country where i'm from, this is the town i live in since many years and where i feel home, next to my homeland croatia.

@olham may i suggest that you rename the pics before loading it up? because if you look into this thread as a guest you don't see the pic but only the name of the jpeg, and it tells the name of the place like in the case above.

Von Richthofen's 66. Victory Claim
Creaghorn replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
in the british claimsystem he would have had 3 kills this day and his fellow pilots would have one each. so he has one and has more or less gifted the other kills to his fellows. he easily could have claimed them also for himself. wondering how many kills he would have if the german claimsystem was the same as the british. thanks for sharing olham -
What is the #1 feature you would like to see in P4?
Creaghorn replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
that's not quite true. in my campaigns the fellow pilots DO increase their kills. there is even a message appearing "one claim of your squadronmates got confirmed" or something like that. they increase their kill tally in a realistical pace. there are definitely more skill levels of your fellows in the same squad. so if you live long enough you will see that some fellows die quickly, some survive long getting many kills, some survive long getting few or none kills. all in a realistical pace. better squadrons have more of those who get many kills. some month ago i posted my so far best campaign pilot Ulrich Wolff. and there i wrote that a AI squadmember named Horst Pagels reached 30+ kills in about 2 virtual years. that was an AI fellow. no story. he really gained this number by himself. many others also raised their killnumbers, but as it was in real, some of them are really good, some not so, some not at all (IMO good emulation of the fact that about 5% of the pilots had about 50% o the kills in real). you just have to survive long enough to experience the rise and fall of your fellows. but you are right that the mission outcomes don't affect the outcomes in the mess besides your own. both systems work independent. also i have not seen AI fellows getting promoted. but they do get better within the time. that's a fact. -
this song is inside the homebrew in the download section. so if you die, or get ambulanced, this song appears. cheers

What is the #1 feature you would like to see in P4?
Creaghorn replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
ususally there is red out and black out when spinning too much. i would create a exhaution counter (actually one already exists). i would link it the way, that the longer i fly, the more the screen very slowly turns into a blackout (maybe after an hour or two the egdes are not visible anymore), simulating exhaustion. when experiencing g-forces and hard manouvers (dogfight), the screen blacking should occure faster. similar like when spinning, just much slower of course. same for AI. so when fighting several minutes with lot of throwing the AC about, diving etc., the vision should get more and more tunnel like within the minutes. and then the simmer would decide, ok, enough for today instead of beeing a terminator. as soon as the flight calms down and he continues the patrol or flies home, the tunnelvision should slowly open again. so if you fight too much, you will eventually only see something in the middle of the screen, emulating exhaustion and stress and therefor losing concentration. so you are more in danger of getting jumped at by a "fresh" enemy from somewhere else. so eventually you will decide in time when to break from a fight instead of trying to make 5 kills. maybe something like this. -
servus andy, erstmal willkommen, since you are german, you might be interested in the homebrew in the download section. it contains a "news mod" which overhauls the custom news completely. it has more than 300 news and pictures of the original heeresbericht and it will appear at the same date, as it was in real. it's completely in german. maybe other usefull stuff too as a german flyer. have fun and oh, i'd like to have a leinburger bier. creaghorn

good example why this is the best forum ever. good job guys -

as i posted before above, but obviously was unseen, you might type your dvd player into google and look for a way to decode. usually almost all dvd players have a certain combination of buttons on your remote, which unlocks the regional setting. worth a try p.s. similar to the fatality modes in mortal kombat i would google the dvd player type (best from manual) xy etc. and write "unicode". -

richard thomas a stranger? no, he's john boy. good night john boy . the first version of all quiet is definitely better. hardly to find US ww1 movies, since their role was hardly more significant as the sopwith snipe was in aviation (cheers wid ). and US "average" (please, no offence to the US audience with more knowledge about history etc.) audience wants to see winning americans where the soldier acts like a quarterback in a game and if he had to die, he dies a very heroic way with superheroic look into the distance, maybe with a flag in the background, while the super evil honorless german dies a cruel death where he cries like a women etc. BTW. did you know that the author named the main character bäumer because of ww1 ace paul bäumer? my favorite ww1 aviation movies i can recommend, hells angels (bad acting for todays standarts but best flying scenes of any ww1 aviation movie) aces high, very good plot. blue max silent movie "wings" -

aye. friends in almost every corner in the world. i would go so far to say that if anybody would make a trip to anybodies country and be near someone, he would have a place where to stay during the time. -
this both are the crests of nürnberg frankonia

that's strange for sure. all i can say is that no mod of me is connected in the slightest way to anything related to workshop or pilots data or death settings. it's more or less just soundfiles and eyecandy stuff. but nothing related to any of the managed things. also i'm nonetheless able to die when trying. so that's a strange behaviour.

in fact jams and stoppages should occure weigh more often than currently. not only too long fire caused jams, but cold temperatur, bent ammo, feeding jam. simply wrong handling. they were so unreliable that stoppages have been expected and weren't a surprise at all. they were as common and expected as a bodycheck in hockey. so jams should not only occure when shooting too long, but often without a reason. i think it's implemented already.
