I just took the freedom to copy them over here - I guess I won't got shot for that. You can enlarge them by clicking on the pics. The pics are just starters - to see them in full resolution and really big, follow the links in this post: http://simhq.com/for...tml#Post3699746

Good question, Eric - screenshots in two places should have much better chances to be seen by many I guess.

Good Story of Honor in Warfare

Jim, you are arguing rational. But man is not always simply rational. We sometimes act emotionally. It may not seem to make sense, but we feel we cannot do it any other way. We're only human after all. -
Who is the oldest (and youngest) OFF'er

So you must be getting over the shock slowly now, of getting 50? At least for me, that was quite a hard thought. Now I'm 58 and feeling younger than ever. You see, there's hope! (although people are often rather telling me the opposite - Mmuahahahahahahaaa!!!!) -

Waste of years - yes. But from what I read from Cecil Lewis, they seem to have lived each and every day with full awareness. When they couldn't know how long their life might last, they made the best of it. Something we often do not - as if the time we are wasting wouldn't have meant so much for them. DonL - nice try! Mmuahahahahaaa!!!! . -

A lazy Hour at the Hood WW1 Aerodrome While the people appear like marginal ants in this time lapse video, the aircraft have something majestic, I find. Note how the wing movements of the Quirk and the FE2 caused by the wind - the Fee almost seems to crave for some flying. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=uIEWw8vdVHI&feature=endscreen

I guess, HPW has a 1680 x 1050 (16:10) monitor, like I have. It's easy to mix up the "6" with the "9", as I also had done. HPW, I don't think you should lower the resolution of your screen, but rather zoom in another notch, or a third one? This FoV in OFF is still a mystery to me - I experimented a bit after Lothar's discovery, that both values are part of the vertical angle - but I couldn't say I found something out???

I believe that sim-flying keeps the brain younger. Well, in my case that exercises probably wasn't necessary - I never grew up - Mmuahahahahaaa!!!! But seriously - old pilots still appear young somehow. -

Night Glow - The Exhaust Fire of a Spitfire's Rolls Royce Merlin Note: the screen only seems to be black most of the time. This video was made to catch the sound and the exhaust pipe flames of the Spitfire. Make sure you watch with highest quality - and enjoy sound and vision of a legend. -

Seems the under 20 ones are just too shy to vote or write in a Senior Gentlemen's Club. Oh, the youth of today...* * started a complaint written by one of the big old Romans. -

And I tend to think I am getting old! Compared to Hauksbee I should be bouncing like a rubber ball. (Ouch - didn't work!) I guess, we all over 50 here are made of ironwood - aren't we? :flyer: -

Olham replied to Lothar of the Hill People's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Lothar, I never was the man for activating additional mods and stuff - all the things you must remember - but since WOFF may still have some miles to go 'till it's finished, I guess your OFFbase-bundle should be the right package to add some new flavours to our great sim. As far as I remember, Creaghorn had also made a set of news for the German side? -

OFFbase Update: An Ode to the OFF Community
Olham replied to Lothar of the Hill People's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Lothar, you know that I don't use OFFbase yet, but I can see from your latest posts here, that you must have built something great there. And when my school is over next year, and WOFF still not in nearer sight, I may join the OFFbase users. Right now, I keep everything as basic as can be - my time and energy are too limited for learning and exploring anything new. I just don't have any power and not even interest left for anything beyond the basic things which do already work as I know they should. So I haven't voted, as my point doesn't seem to be among the selections. Thumbs up for your OFFbase; the recently added maps make it even more attractive. Together with Blechtley's data and Herr Prop-Wasche's FM and DM it should be a great package for everyone who is not just as damn tired and slain as I am. -
There's an extra Star in the Heavens tonight

As a German with not much interest in astronomy I didn't know Sir Patrick Moore and his program "Stars at Night". So I looked into YouTube and found this video. For all who also didn't know him, and for all who liked his work, and himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VprxhEq_YDE He seems to have been a truely original character; interesting, humourful - in two words: very British! May he now travel between the stars. Rest in peace, Sir Moore. -

The Sopwith Triplane photos on "The Vintage Aviator" website 'inspired' me to fake an old WW1 aerial photo, as if an observer had made a photo of the "Black Maria" over Flanders. I didn't want to use the original New Zealand landscape, and so I knocked it out. I also removed the silly two-yard-long white scarf (I wished they would drop that!), gave the pilot some more face protection, added a French farmlandscape, and this is what I got. I know it could be made far bigger and better, but I wanted a quick result. Enjoy!
