Well, you realise it now at hindsight, and you feel goose skin of awe later, but you feel it, don't you?

I was on an old BoB airfield in the 80s - Henley or Kenley - near London. There were still earth bunkers and shrapnell shelters for WW2 fighters there. I had seen "Battle of Britain" in the early seventies, and it was very touching to see a place from where these tireless boys made one sortie after another, until they could hardly keep their eyes open anymore. Their finest hours!

They could spend it on the restauration of at least one of the Battle of Britain airfields like Manston or Biggin Hill or Hornchurch (not sure which of them still exist), and the still existing aircraft of that time. And they could spend it in a way, that gives many people a job with these restaurations. Just my 2 cent.

Jim, you beat me by 20 minutes - I was just going to search for your Fokker Dr.1 profile over at "The Aerodrome", and post it here. But well, for all who didn't know this link - "The Aerodrome" is one of the best places to go to when you are interested in WW1 aircraft, combat and pilots. Here is the link to their galleries - click on an artist's name to get to his department: http://www.theaerodr...eimages.php?c=2 James Dietz, Jerry Boucher, Dave 'Blowhard' Douglass -
...until they'd point directly at their noses - short before a "Rack-ack-ack-ack-ack!" Mmuahahahahahahaaaa!!!!!

Ah, let them talk. Many a bigmouth returned from a dogfight and had to change his pants...

Naw, I was only joking, Hauksbee. I always advocat, that everyone should use the huge variety that OFF offers, as he pleases. Some fly mostly QuickCombat, others Campaigns; some fly "Full DiD Realism" and others use a selection of aides. I myself used most of the aids for a long time. And I still ponder with myself about switching the TAC back on again - simply because it allows the switching through the waypoints, and thereby the shortening of the "Warp" home.

Hauksbee, I never use this since a long time, and so I can only try to remember it. Target selection in OFF: - you must have the TAC activated - you switch to the mode for "aircraft" (for example - I think by pressing "T" repeatedly) - When E/A appear you press the key you use for marking a target, and a red dot should appear on TAC The targetting cone should now point to this E/A. The cone - as far as I remember - only appears, when an E/A is within a certain range - not sure though. All commands are accessable in "Controls". You get there by hitting "Escape" in a mission; then click "Controls" in the appearing menue. Hope this will help you, my friend.

Yeah, okay, "Graphics Config" then. Click on "File". There you choose "Custom Settings" (ignore the warning). Then in the upper left corner go on "Window"; then you should see the "Overrides". It's in there. Targetting cone.. Tch! Fifteen minuter!!! Sissy!! Huh!!!

"Workshop" > "Graphic Setup" > "Overrides" - there is a tickbox for the cone. (you Sissy - a targetting cone! Tch! Huh!! Tch!!!)

Made me a new Marineflieger-Skin with new upper three-colour-camo. The emblem is stolen from the German submarine in "Das Boot". -
Wow, what a setup! You hardly need TrackIR with that! Now you should have a look at all the new screenshots from the forthcoming WOFF and you'll see: you have even more good reason to look forward to all this! http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3654601/WOFF_NEW_DEV_SCREENSHOTS.html#Post3654601

The Wreck of the Armoured Cruiser Pallada Discovered
Olham replied to Hasse Wind's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
The sinking of ships always strikes a melancholic string in me. What a waste of constructing and building hours, what a waste of useful materials, to be sunk within minutes. Some of these ships were only built to make one single "Feindfahrt" (battle cruise"), and to be shot to pieces on it. -
Fastest WW1 Train (100km/h) in Palestine, propelled by Aircraft Engine

Well, it only said: fastest WW1 train - whatever that means. -
Some time in the nearer future (often vaguely described as "two weeks") WOFF will come out. I wonder which graphic cards would be "best buys" for WOFF as well as for other modern games / sims? Of course: if you have the money, you can get super-cards for over 1000,- Euro, and you should never have a problem. But I am not in the situation, that I can spend big amounts on a graphic card. On the other hand it is often wrong to save 50,- Euro, when you can get something a lot better for that extra money. But what is the best we can get in the range of 200,- Euro - 300,- Euro? (Or should one even invest more than that?) Could some of you users here come up with some facts and recommendations? And could you please confirm them with data or knowledge? Maybe you devs find, you should not make recommendations, but perhaps you could tell us what cards you are using for testing WOFF right now?

Yeah, Tom'sHardware is a place to check. For Germans: PC-GAMES / HARDWARE is always worth a comparison check: http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Grafikkarten-Hardware-97980/
