  1. Sometimes I do that, Sandbagger - here I was afraid to "drown the detail" at the tents. But I will give it a try with the next one.
  2. Haha! Bullethead - which of the 4 horseman shall I be? Thanks for the tip, I used your previous one anyway - turning right goes better. Carrick, that was indeed an idea I had: creating an "Opposite Campaign", where you start opposite time of year, and opposite side of the line. Not sure if anyone else would want that - we could do that; with Siggi's rules, but without a website. Ras, the Tripe was already flown by my British alter ego, David Oldham. A very agile craft, and easier to handle than the Nupe, I'd say. Turnfighting Albatros had no chance against me. Ras, now you say the same as Carrick - should we do an "Opposite Campaign"?
  3. Update 11/29/09 18:26 Berlin wintertime (= GMT + 1) Velvet, Connecticut, added. All the maps are in post 1 of this thread
  4. As the wheather doesn't allow flying in our "Krauts vs Crumpets" DiD Campaign, I started a French pilot and tried the Nieuport 17. Sous-Lieutenant Didier de St.Malo did very well for his first flight (1 Roland C II, 2 Fokker E III). On returning, he saw "British Cavallery". First time I've seen horsemen in BHaH. I must say, the French side is quite some difference: huge hangars, very comfy! The Nupe is something to get used to for an Albatros pilot - almost the difference. So light, it seems to lift off through headwind alone; so agile, it makes it difficult for me to aim at anyone - a nervous butterfly. And as fragile, as I always find, when I fight them. But I was lucky. A Roland hit my rudder, but caused only little damage. Oh, and those Rolands seem to be the "German Brisfit" - all over the place, and constantly firing at you!
  5. You Americans have it all - I just googled for "Nose Art" and came up with this address for leather and fabric jackets and lots of other stuff (gloves, Zippos, goggles, stickers etc.). Dreamland! ... http://www.usauthentic.com/
  6. Okay, Sandbagger, now I have changed the signature of the above picture. As I was in Photoshop anyway, I also added some Albatros silhouettes.
  7. Hi, Red Dog. Do you mean a small team play? Generally I would love to try it, and will do so, when I have solved some problems on my new rig. I will send you a PM then, but it'll take some days, before my "technician" finds the time again to help. You'll hear from me.
  8. Thanks, all! Hi, Sandbagger - the signature was meant to honour the creators, cause it isn't really a painting done only by myself. But you're right - it makes it look as if OBD ordered and released it. I will remove it.
  9. Update 11/28/09 22:57 Berlin wintertime (= GMT + 1) xjouve, France, added. All the maps are in post 1 of this thread
  10. Ah - now it works for me! Man, this is excellent and impressive footage! Bullethead, here's your bird!
  11. Von Baur, try this address - it worked for me. http://www.nfb.ca/film/airplane_casualties/ Not sure if it's the right film, but you can also check the related ones. There are several films from WW1 there.
  12. When I type "www.nfb.ca" without the 3, I get to their board. Now, if you could give me the title to search for, I might get in there.
  13. Mees76 - however they decide: even if there was NO package price, it would be a "Best Buy" getting OFF BHaH + Add-on pack. To get many more than just one craft, plus ground installations, plus improved landscape, plus the ability to fly an individual skin, plus plus plus... (don't know all, but you get the idea). If you are in for the greatest immersion and the best campaigns, you couldn't do a thing wrong, even if it was 100,- Dollar. Now I must get back into my cockpit - the 'Crumpets' may be intruding already!...
  14. Can't get to the site. Any better link? Or can you type the address, so I can try on my neighbours system?
  15. In a two-seater, the gunner's and your own shooting adds up to the same result. Your gunner CAN shoot down craft alone, which you can claim and can get confirmed. I assume, you had no witnesses close enough - your gunner is no witness. I had that several times - the others where too far away, and bang! went another claim. I recommend to fly the two-seater, cause you will do that more evasive than AI. On the other hand, AI gunner shoots better than you with that gun (hard to aim with a joystick).
  16. Occasionally I have this, that the aircraft around me isn't there. It always came back, when I went to an outside view and back again. And, as Pol says: check all key assignments of TrackIR and change them, where necessary.
  17. Not a screenshot anymore, really. I liked the evening scene, and began adding the lights in Photoshop. After a while, I was partly painting and tweaking the whole picture.

  19. Okay, thanks, Creaghorn!
  20. Your previous was much cooler, but looked like WW2, OvS. But this one - don't really know... And this one - yes, that Spartan film "300" - I switched it off after about half an hour, cause when I want to watch meat being chopped up, I go to my grocery. They're not as entertaining, but they don't need so long.
  21. Jarhead, I would have recognised you even without telling me - you had once shown a picture of you in this Marines uniform - something with "Blue" in the name of it - and he hit you very well! What an honour! Thanks for the link - I'll check, if I can find more German Jasta paintings.
  22. I could have bought it - but Bill Murray is way too old meanwhile. I wish, he had made many more comedies - I absolutely like his way. Hey - is that you shouting your head off, OvS ? Looks like a face for the movie "GLADIATOR" to me. "Roma victor!!!"
  23. How did you use it, Creaghorn? Did you download it from here? And where did you put it then?
  24. Update 11/25/09 00:44 Berlin wintertime (= GMT + 1) auricom, Ontario, added. Ontario now settled! All the maps are in post 1 of this thread
  25. Yep. When I see the number of sorties of Hartmann, Barkhorn, Rall, Galland, Osterkamp and many others - unbelieveable!
