  1. SE5a vs DR1 (video)

Ok, thank you kind sir. Jammer
  2. Puff, Truly excellent. Great composition. I find myself looking at the faces and into the airman’s eyes. Somehow it all looks so life like. Jammer
  3. Mac, That is one heck of a screenshot. I love it! Jammer
  4. She is my lady again!

I don’t remember what happened at all, it was a while back. I probably took the screenshot to admire the damage modeled by the devs. It didn’t fly at all after that for I was dead as a door nail. Jammer
  5. She is my lady again!

Hey Olham, I was digging around some of my screenshots looking for something else when I saw these. I have no recollection of what happened but I was obviously pretty rough with her. Jammer
  6. Man o man, 70%! I thought I was hot stuff when I got as high as 47%. Nice shootin’!
  7. Way cool!Reading your account and looking at the screenshot made me feel as if I had been there watching. Kinda like a historical event. Jammer
  8. SE5a vs DR1 (video)

I’m sorry if I disappoint you guys but the smooth head movement is nothing more than padlock. I use that with FreeTrack (I don’t know how to get 6DOF with it though). That’s why it’s jerky sometimes and smooth the other. When I get my tax return I may buy TrackIR. I use a mix of different views and techniques and hope I get something good. I get a lot of shots I throw away and a few nice gems. You should see what I throw away. A lot of crashes! I want to thank everybody for the kind reviews. It pleases me to no end that you enjoy them. I’m happy to give something back to the OFF community and contribute to the forum. Jammer
  9. I dreaded ground attack missions too at first. My guns jammed every time even with short bursts. Like you I discovered the loadout and have enjoyed ground attacks since. I don’t know if its accurate but I dive bomb the target like a Stuka or SBD. Does any body know where I can read up on the tactics used in the air war?
  10. Membership question

You guys are silly. Just plain silly! But I like it!
  11. I would be interested but I have FreeTrack, the DIY poor man’s version. I built it to see if I would like it. It works great for MS FSX but in OFF I do not get the 6 DOF. I only use it in OFF to make videos. I know the guys here swear by it but I couldn’t get the hang of it in combat so I didn’t buy TrackIR.
  12. Happy (belated) St George's day!

Going on leave then? Lucky bloke! How did you manage to talk the CO into it? Have a pint for me. Jammer
  13. XP-pro or XP media edition

XPmedia will probably add more bloat. If you don’t need it then go with XPpro.
  14. Facebook?! Another social thing? I’m not anti-social, just not very sociable. Good lord, where does this madness end?
  15. It would kill the immersion if you were to live through it. That is to say that if your pilot doesn’t die and you’re ready to fly the next sortie. But if you die then you lived long enough to the point where it ended. I do understand your wish to see the end to the END. I too want to watch the spiraling down and auguring in. Especially if I can capture it with Fraps.
  16. Hey JBALL, Nice looking blog. I have never been into any of the “social networks”. Never had any interest in socializing with unseen people. Just didn’t get it. That is until I started flying OFF. Started by lurking around the forum and got sucked in. This is just not something I do, until now. For me that says a lot about OFF and the forum. I’m still trying to learn the etiquette of forums and tread lightly. Which brings me to my question: How does Digg work? I looked it up on Wikipedia and the Digg website and read about it. I understand the overall idea behind it but do not understand how to implement it. As briefly as you can educate me. This is from your blog site * Albert Ball, WW1 Ace supposedly or at least according to my family tree was a distant relative of mine. Let us know if your family heritage helps any with OFF! Regards, Jammer
  17. Do aircraft break up in QC?

Maybe Olham’s problem can be traced back to the manufacturer. Some sort of QC issue. Or worse, maybe you have a saboteur in your Jasta!
  18. Warp issue

Oh yes, this has happened to me a few times. I don’t take much note of it. I assume that it’s a CFS3 glitch. I too ended up over the North Sea once, but I gave up and ended the flight after 15 minutes. What I started doing while warping is to keep my fingers over the ctrl and x keys to quickly disable warp when I see things going wrong (watch the TAC and the miles ticker). Hope this helps. Jammer
  19. I was serious.

I second Hellshade for I was thinking the same thing myself. Maybe you have or could set up something like a paypal account. Think of it as a petty cash drawer. Heck I wouldn’t mind if you used it now and then to buy yourself a pint at your local pub. Just don’t tell the wife or she may shut it down! But again like Hellshade, I am serious about helping out. Just let us know. Jammer
  20. Another video for all of you. Its shorter than my last effort.A flight of Hannover CIII’s bomb the front lines and fight their way home. Hope you like it. Jammer
  21. 24 RFC gets a new recruit

Hi Prophead, Welcome to the 24th! I try different squadrons now and then but I primarily fly the RFC/RAF 24th in 1918. I don’t know why really. I just feel comfortable there and I fell like I’ve found a home. Plus I love the SE5a! Since you enlisted in 1916 I’ll see you in a couple of years. Cheers mate! Jammer
  22. HannCIII bomb run (video)

Oh my god yes! That would be a great honor. It’s yours to do whatever you want. Jammer
  23. Yay for me!

************************************************************* From: The U.S. Air Service, American Expeditionary Force To: Airman Siggi The Distinguished Service Cross is presented to Airman Siggi, RFC, for extraordinary heroism in action Over Flanders Field. Airman Siggi attacked the enemy relentlessly and with courage and extraordinary heroism in action. Airman Siggi succeeded in shooting down at least five enemy aeroplanes while flying DiD at no less than 100%. His intrepid actions should be an example to all flyers who strive for the coveted title of ace. General Orders No. 32, W.D., 1918 ************************************************************* Congratulations Siggi !
  24. OT Your top 3 aircraft of all time?

B52G TR1A (U2R) EC130H The three planes I worked on while in the USAF
  25. I had something similar happen to me. I was on a balloon busting mission and my flight was jumped by a superior number of Pfalz DIIIa’s just as I was approaching the balloon. I had one closing in on me but managed a good few bursts into it. To my chagrin it did not explode. I had to break and engage the EA all around the balloon. As I was dog fighting, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the balloon explode. I had the same thought you did. Was that flak or a delayed reaction to my gunnery? I downed the Pfalz, got shot up by others and limped home. I filed a claim for the Pfalz and “penciled in” a kill for the balloon. HQ has yet to inform me of their decision.
