  1. Hi In the OFF section, Olham started a topic "Post a picture of your nicest airfield". I recognise that SF1&2 airbases can't be as nice as OFF airfields, but I thought that maybe everybody has a favorite airbase. ...and it won't be the first time that an excellent idea comes from OFF guys to SF1&2. Let me show you mine : In Baltika's Kamchatka terrain (blue side) this is Casco Cove (RNW 04/22) This airbase is an issue because no wingmen can perform the landing approach without crashing in the heights. There's a fix that relocate the runway and everything can be fine. But this is that issue that I like the most, you have to perform a landing pattern to land. I'm pretty sure that the last turn for final 22 is tighter than the last turn of a carrier landing approach. It's also a great target when flying red side. You can do a sneak attack following a little valley from the other side of the island that lead you straight on the base. Thanks for reading :)
  2. Beaufighters (DAT with ini edit) and the great P-47N by Russouk Cliff
  3. Some awesome NASA footage

    What a ride! Awesome!!!
  4. This man is so right Excellent pilot and a good commander, he gives the best image of aeronautic, safety first.
  5. For the cockpit position, in the cockpit file Position=-0.425,0.41,1.68 is much better :)
  6. As long as the wiper is sweeping ...it's allright Thanks!
  7. B26K Problem

Hi Lt The problem is on the ground. The DAT B-26 3D model doesn't have its two main wheels (or gears) the same size exactly. It makes the plane bounce on the ground when it has to taxi (several planes waiting for take off) and make a turn (only on one hand, don't remember which one) When it bounces the propeller hits the ground and the engine is considered as damaged and stops. I didn't find a fix yet... The real solution is to fix the 3D model... (no comment) Sorry it doesn't help at all Have good flights! Cliff
  8. Well, the options are limited... You can keep twin gauges for the RPM - Fuel flow - Temperture giving the same indication twice, and change the Nozzle position to Fuel gauges (standing for left tank - right tank) or flaps indicator (left - right). For the temperture maybe you can use two different inputs : "inlet temperture" or "exhaust gas temperture" in the cockpit file, something like that...
  9. Nice pit! If you know how to change the gauges background you can re-use the 2nd engine gauges for something else, with some cockpit file.ini editing. A second radar altimeter, fuel tank gauges, additional magnetic compass, arrester hook, flaps or speed brake indicators, whatever you want... Cliff
  10. In "P-47_Thunderbolt_in_Detail_and_Scale" it's pages 25 and 54 : Compressibility flaps (pages 26 and 53 of the pdf file) love the Jug!
  11. Underneath view of the P-47D 25 type. Some source says D 26 and later, I don't know (P-47N variant for sure) It may have been retrofitted, the purpose was to avoid reaching the sound barrier when making steep dive. The problem is decreasing throttle creates a diving moment due to engine effect on the flight. So they needed dive brakes :) I would say late D types, and later (but not all of them?) ;)
  12. It's sad... I wish you luck for all you want, job, new rig, projects... I hope you'll make it!
  13. Hi guys! What about this : [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=Cabina_Neptune.LOD Position=-0.425,0.41,1.68 Offset=0.0,0.0,0.00 ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 MaxYaw=120 MinYaw=-140 MaxPitch=90 MinPitchFront=-65 MinPitchRear=-45 to improve the cockpit view? The file to edit is : P-2H_COCKPIT.INI
  14. I'm not dutch but I like it a lot! Very good!
  15. Veltro, If you think it's necessary, I can try an "data.ini check". Send me your files
  16. Thank you sir! You show us the way ;)
  17. Somewhere in the Republic of Dohar, advanced fighter training
  18. To me both look great! I just can't wait xD
  19. I ran out of fuel... it's all my fault. 130 kt and 1300ft won't be enough, I landed just before the runway threshold and, cutting through the grass (it's a MiG-23 ) I ended on the taxyway.
  20. That's great! I think I gonna fly swedish before too long.
  21. Great show Lt ! MiG-19 is a nice bird to fly, isn't it?
  22. Tell me if I'm right : The gunsight can move (gunsight depression) if it is designed in the original 3D Max file. It needs a specific mesh. If that's wrong, how to do it? I haven't find out... Thx Cliff
  23. ...still no joy. It's for Kesselbrut's Beaufighter pit. I was trying to move the mil when on caged mode. Thank you anyway!
  24. For your next holydays Rent a PBY Catalina sea plane!!! (Don't try the "landing on water thing" at home kids, we're experienced stuntmen) xD
