  1. Does this method replace your aircrafts skin only? Or does it replace all of the skins for you flight? What I mean is, If i put Olham's Bird of Prey skin on my albatross, will my craft be the ONLY one with that skin, or will all my wingmates be flying red birds? S!
  2. If you fly much before april 1916 the action is very limited. Spring and summer of 1916 you can start to see regular action (at least 1 encounter per 2-3 flights). Once you get into late 1916 and especially into the spring 1917 and on you will see more action than you can handle at times. Also check the ground offensives in the time period that you are flying. You are more likely to find action in the air, near highly active ground sectors. S!
  3. Pups At Dawn Started a new british campaign in early 1917. Trying out the older brother to the camel for a bit. But really i wanted an excuse to post in here and say that SS is my new desktop WM! You dont happen to have a widescreen version of that do ya? S!
  4. Just returned with my flight of 4 camels after a long escort of 3 recon craft over the front lines near Menen. I landed and as my engine shut down i saw my 3 wingmates making a wide pass (as they always do) for the airfield. I quit the mission and Oscar Anderson (one of the 3 in the formation) is reported MIA. Do i need to wait for them to land or is this just randomly generated to simulate squadron attrition? S!
  5. targeting aircraft

Not exactly sure what the problem with 'padlock' view is? I dont have trackir. I had it before and could never get it to work properly (older version and my computer noobness combined). I use padlock as a crutch to the otherwise impossible view options. I dont use labels and i dont have any HUD on the screen at all. Pretty immersive in my opinion.
  6. Excellent movie jammer!!! I'm currently flying in Guynemer's escadrille in noop17s. Quirky but fun planes to fly for sure. S!
  7. Dont know what you're talking about with dramatic shots CW. That looks like a mighty fine pic right there! The edit you've done is great! I can't tell ya if its one style or the next, but it aint crap sir. S!
  8. My best pilot since long

Ya i had a hard time getting the neck right. I changed it about 30 times hehe. I was just using the 'paint' program. Dont have any cool photoshop programs or the like to really do anything great.
  9. 7 kills in 1 mission :p

Grats cosmos. Those twin mg's and 1000 rounds are helpfull in bringing down opponents.
  10. Advancing Time?

    Cheers! :drinks_drunk:
  11. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=39122 Link to the command keycard info. If you haven't seen it yet.
  12. My best pilot since long

HA! Got it! thanks guys. Here is my first attempt. I realized as i was trying to do this that i have very few pictures of 'me' on my computer.
  13. Advancing Time?

In 'workshop' there is a setting for advance time. One is auto, and the other manual i think. Not exactly sure. But with one selection the game advances time and you can not. the other option gives you the choice to advance time manually. Sorry i cant remember the name of the option in the 'workshop' but just mouse over the option circle and it will pop up a description for you.
  14. Hehe no worries m8. That's what the help forum is for! And welcome to an amazing simulation.
  15. Welcome balalaika, The bombs not dropping issue you are having could be solved by hitting backspace before you try and release them. Backspace is the default for 'select ordinance' or something of the like. So you must select your bombs and THEN you should be able to use enter to drop them. Same thing goes with rockets. As for keeping up with your wingmen, it is possible you are flying into a headwind. AI craft are not affected by wind. Also, auto trim and or auto mixture can sometimes put a hamper on your max speed if you have them set to on. Hope some of that helps. GL S!
  16. Finally Bought...

Ya! what he said. I'm not even a wwi aviation guy (ya im a spitfire dweeb) and this still is my favorite sim.
  17. My best pilot since long

S! Olham very nice Ace ya got there. One question for ya. Where do you find the photos of the pilots so you can edit them like you've done? I can't seem to find the files. S!
  18. Those silly germans. Saw these two german fighters flying 'inside' of each other this evening. I was certain that once they broke from their current heading they would collide and crash. No such luck. Instead they dove straight down and wiped out 2 of my flight before we dispatched the pests. I thought it quite odd and yet funny.
  19. Test of time

I've unsubscribed to 2 online games since i hadn't even fired them up since i recieved my OFF copy.
  20. S! Olham I fly RFC-28 out of Droglandt. An aerodrome just North West of Ypres. 5 aces in the squad including "Black Mike" McEwen and others. Im in october of 1917 at the moment.
  21. I was never a fan of the ground/rail attack missions in the campaigns. I always seem to get shot up and barely every scratched anything with my twin vickers. Discovered rockets by accident when i was loaded out with them one mission as default. WOWEE. Good stuff. Rail yards and vehicle coulumns be ware!!!
  22. These planes will be no use to the enemy now. Muahahaa
  23. OFF plays beautifully on my computer. Runs smooth with all the settings maxed. (i dropped scenery and terain to 3 to pick up a few fps). But every once in a while windows will pop up an error message saying that 'windows as detected a problem' then it kicks me out of QC or campaign mission right back to the brieffing screen. These are the files that windows said 'may' be causing a problem. Anyone heared of windows vista64 randomly shutting down the game? Really frustrating when after a 40-60 minute mission i get booted to the briefing screen and have to do it all over again. Anyway, other than that these are the files that are brought up after the error. C:\Users\owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER675C.tmp.version.txt C:\Users\owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER7542.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER7CA2.tmp.mdmp S!
