you have to look in the "out" file ,if there is one available" and hope that the mesh your looking for is labled as something you recognize like "topwing_L or something. Otherwise you will have to use trial and error.have a look at the Nieuport 17 with the wing mounter lewis,it has entries added in the gun section that edit out the deck mounted vickers mg and it has the wing mounted lewis added as a "pilot". as for adding an extra lewis to the brisfit visualy or fixing the radial engine on the Foker D.III that would require the original modler or someone with access to his original max files to redo the model. once exported to lod format it's essentialy imposible to redo the models.

just make the folders and put them in your "saved games/thirdwire/WO*" folder

as long as you can find the mesh name in the out file it's pretty easy to remove parts from a plane via the data.ini edit "trick" also the A-team has some WW1 "gun pods" that include a vickers. you can add it to the model via the "fake pilot" trick.

Damn,having been through it once(divorce) I'll say that I wish you the best and hope that you and her can keep your heads as things progress. it's never easy and I hope thet your able to resolve your problems and be able to get the most out of life.

While I will certainly be looking forward to this I have to say that while one of the original and very old addons your 1st Hawk has held up extreamly well.If i were to compile a list of available aircraft I'd ask to be updated/redone your Hawk would not be near the top of the list.thanks for the continued updates.One Question are you thinking of other versions of the Hawk based of this model?

the A-team site has updated the lod for the Halberstadt D.III so that the rudder is moved forward to the corect location and the elevators work better. you can download the lod file in the topic "Halberstadt D.III rudder issues" in the "Model and Fix Requests" forum. you will need to look in the out file and find the names of the rudder and elevators and change them in the data file so that they funtion properly. Also it's not perfect but a simple ini trick removes the exaust stack on the D.III making it look more like the D.II.I wonder if somone with a little pull with the moddlers here can get somone to make the long style D.II exaust to add via the "fake pilot" method?

they were very acomodating over there when I asked for the fixes. I hope that this plane gets more use now that the rudder looks a little more normal.

it's funny somone puts out a slick vid and the world wrings it's hands but we outs somone in iraq that makes Koni look like a school yard bullt and the world turns it back lol bunch of hypocrits.the world is an evil place and Africa is about as bad as it gets. I don't need a cute video to tell me that true evil exists there. there is hardly ever a "good guy" on any side in africa conflicts. you oust one tin pot dictator and 3 more take their place. the African mindset of tribal loyalty over national and other facters have held africa back and will continue these issues for the forceable future.it's very sad but just like a drug user until africa truly wants help nothing will really change.

I like it too. I asked to see if he could bring the rudder up more forward to sit in the pivot tube in the correct manner. The way the rudder just floats in space is kind weird right now. All in all it's pretty damn good though.

I just posted over at the A-team site about fixing the Halberstadt D.III rudder issue. I don't know enough about the plane and differences between models to post about anything else wrong . maybe he will have time to fix it.
