Well it won't make me a real sniper in a day but COD4 did help me what a good sight picture should be like when shooting my AR. But it's a game. Falcon

@ modders

IMHO the A-9 looks like the COBRA's rattler almost except for the tail. Put the A-10's engines on the wings, put a turret on the spine, put the GUA cannon in the nose and paint it blue...tada a rattler. Falcon -

Add the fact FE doesn't have torque persay like ROF does but yes the planes were poor in aerodynamics. And I found a way to do aerobatics more effectively especially in the SE5A. Like in a loop, ease the pressure of the control stick at the top of the loop and let the nose drop naturally. Although I'm finding myself enjoying ROF's DR1 more. I certainly like the touch of realism ROF has like charging the mgs for a example... I LOVE THAT! But I heard that there's a patch for FM fixes. Who knows that'll bring. But anyway, after I mastered the DR1, I'm gonna try my hand on my fav ww1 fighter, the D7. Falcon

Yeah.. I'll try again of installing them. If I have problems again I'll holler to you guys this time. Falcon

how to aim when fly the Albatros
FalconC45 replied to lupin2's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
WW1 engagements were 100 yards or less FYI. Also its a good idea to get close anyway, it'll increase your chance to hit your target and kill the enemy pilot. Falcon -
I bought ROF-ICE yesterday. Pretty good so far but the FM bleeds speed too fast on some allied and german aircraft. The DR1 is dream to fly though. To me the DM is not canned but I'm still experimenting on it. Its not too disabled friendly though. I got the auto stuff on and some aircraft are b!tch to fly. At first I thought I was ham fisting it w/o noticing it. Although some real WW1 were difficult persay but not this difficult imho. I'll wait until October to get add on planes. Although, is there mods for this sim? For the record, I'm disabled with one usable arm so turning off the auto stuff isn't a option unfortunately. Falcon PS. I find the padlock is tad too difficult to fly with also. Reminds me of the 1980's padlock system. IMHO FE is better for dogfighting. Although I hadn't tried peter's fm's yet. Tried using them before and it deleted almost all of the stock aircraft in the select aircraft menu. I fubared it somehow and uninstalled and reinstalled FE2.

That MP5 is fun although the select fire gear slipped. I can't find anybody that fixes AccuShot airsoft. Eh, maybe I could get that SLR... Falcon

I got an AccuShot MP5 with select fire. Very fun to shoot and shred targets with. If cost is no worry for you check out classic army site (http://www.classicarmy.com/). You can mod these guns like the real thing from putting metal gears to better inner barrels. I always want the steel version of the SLR105 A1 Tactical (http://www.classicarmy.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_37&products_id=160)they got. You see prices at 0 because they don't directly sell these. Use the distributor link on their site to find a store near you. If you want an WW2 airsoft gun, go to www.wwiiguns.com, again very expensive and they also sell non firing models and cap guns. Falcon

Add the fact that Japanese children will used as pike soldiers using bamboo spears. I hate to think thousands of our marines will have Vietnam like flashbacks if they were forced to engage the children with deadly force (yes that'll be debatable but hope you guys see my point.). And I have seen footage of regular Japanese civilians jump off cliffs because they truly believe that US troops will *eat* them and you all seen the battles on Iowa Jima, the Japanese soldiers fought hard and fought until they were overwhelmed. Sure few of Japanese soldiers surrendered but 90%+ of them fought fanatically. I calculated that if we were go forth of X Day operations, 2 MIL of troops each side will die in opening days. IMHO the A BOMB droppings saved lives on both sides. Falcon

Did anybody recognized one of the vikings (the crab mashing viking)? He was in the movie "Revenge of the Nerds" as one of the jocks. The caveman ads were also from Geigo insurance. They had a short lived sitcom too. Falcon -

...and on my new work bench. My original desk was cramped and I kept hitting my knees on a cross bar in the middle. Finally my step-dad found this huge ash wood bench for me and its awesome. My new internet system is equally awesome as well. Its an Acer All-in-One system. Its the built in cpu in monitor deals. Check out the specs. intel quad core cpu, 1tb hd, 4 gigs of ram, full 1080p hd 23" monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse. Thinking of ditching the wireless mouse because if I drop it, I can't pick it up once my caregiver leaves so I might get a wired mouse. Oh yeah I ditched my KVM switch. My work bench is that huge. I tell you one thing though, its nice not to reach diagonally to type anymore. I had to put my original keyboard in a angle so I can use it on my gaming system (my saitek evo stick was velcroed in middle of my original desk). So expect to see me more active on the forum <evil grin>. One of my concerns about this new system is the fact its fanless. The living room gets hot in the summer time but the system has a stand for natural airflow I guess. My folks rearrged my nliving room sdome and my mother put out all of my various diecast aircraft models on display. Two of my small diecast models is front of my gaming monitor :). But I ran out of room, bummer too because I was planning to get Brig Gen Olds' F-4C in 1:48 scale. I'll try to take pics of my new setup hopefully. Falcon

Yeah I'm puzzled as well. I told my step-dad that it'll be cool if computer and hardware companies could figure out ways to make these all-in-ones moddable like the towers today. He said that'll be doubtful because to keep the cost and weight down so I'm thinking that's why. But if there's a way they'll find it IMHO. Falcon

I think it dioes, unless the player uses the ALT-N command. I always wondered if you use that, does it affect your fuel? Falcon -

"Enemy at the Gates" is a good movie but the ending was...non climaxic at best. Falcon -
That looks interesting. I might try it out. Falcon
