  3. Lightning F.52 & F.53

    Version 1.0

    568 downloads

In order to provide an urgent counter to the air incursions, with Saudi towns close to the border being bombed by Egyptian aircraft, an additional interim contract, called "Magic Carpet", was placed in March 1966 for the supply of six ex-RAF Lightnings (four F.2s and two T.4 trainers, redesignated F.52 and T.54 respectively), six Hawker Hunters, two air defence radars and a number of Thunderbird surface-to-air missiles. The "Magic Carpet" Lightnings were delivered to Saudi Arabia in July 1966, with an additional F.52 being delivered in May 1967 to replace a Lightning lost in an accident. Lightning F.52 Slightly modified ex-RAF F.2 single-seat fighters for export to Saudi Arabia (5 converted - 4 in service). Lightning F.53, otherwise known as the Export Lightning, developed as a private venture by BAC; while the Lighning had originated as an interception aircraft, this version was to have a multirole capability for quickly interchanging between interception, reconnaissance, and ground-attack duties. The F.53 was based on the F.6 airframe and avionics, including the large ventral fuel tank, cambered wing and overwing pylons for drop tanks of the F.6, but incorporated an additional pair of hardpoints under the outer wing. These hardpoints could be fitted with pylons for air-to-ground ordnance, including two 1,000 lb (450 kg) bombs or four SNEB rocket pods each carrying 18 68 mm rockets. A gun pack carrying two ADEN cannon and 120 rounds each could replace the forward part of the ventral fuel tank.[20][nb 1] Alternative, interchangeable packs in the forward fuselage carried two Firestreak missiles, two Red Top missiles, twin retractable launchers for 44× 2-inch rockets, or a reconnaissance pod fitted with five 70 mm Type 360 Vinten cameras. 5. It seems You can haven't overwrited Mig17F.ini file and You're using a previous (yours) protected (only reading) one, Please take a try use that You have in the pack or right click on it and check out only reading (I don't know the exact words as I use an italian win 7) option. Be sure to have patched your SF-2 (which one you use?) as the last skins are in JPG format.
  6. Su-34 Skins

David, these skins are wonderful! To enjoy them I had to rename each skin in "SU-34" convert in JPEG (I don't know why bmp format doesn't work ...) and make 5 new skin folders with proper texture.ini, decals.ini and needed tga files ..... Maybe not all the people here at CA is able to rebuild your work, so it could be better if you could upload a ready to use skin pack .... Only a hint: is better don't paint numbers on textures but adding them as decals so we can have several different planes togheter ...... If you need some help please call. Again compliments: a real great work, mate!
  7. Myasishchev M-4 "Bison"

Thanks I have Lindr's inis. No lod for glassed one, I'm sorry.
  8. Myasishchev M-4 "Bison"

Sure the plane variants are included are Mya-3MN & Mya-3MS
  9. It's cominig ......... (waiting for approval now) Mandatory screen:
  10. the shadow front gear door issue for P PD mostly is the main tweak to do ....
  11. Sure thing. A very good long lasting WIP. But we have ALL the versions including the two seater, the recon ones just done that only need some tractor/beam cutting and chute tweaking .... If someone fix I wll repaint .....
  12. ".......... Paulopanz, I'm looking at you" And I was looking for this Eric! You made a great work! Sometimes ago Spillone104 & I looked at these foxbats and took the max files (Alex should still have them ....) to improve ALL the line up. But as far as I remember the planes measures weren't so good and Centurion started his better project (still a WIP) ..... so we gave up. I think that something could be done as here we have ALL versions, Centurion's one is still behind the horizon and I'm very interested in repainting, restoring, fixing and upgrading existing skins and decals, maybe adding something new..... BUT I ask from a 3D artist some little tweakings in deleting spikes/tractor beams from some versions (PD for example ...) and maybe fixing brake chutes too. Baffmeister could improve the FM too .... Someone could take care of these birds lods ?
  13. I totally agree with Hans Topp, but I hope that new bases (and why not) better and further ones could be added on Belgium, Netherlands, France, Denmark and Poland as did in last NATO install. At last with this new fantastic scenery and Stary previous magnificent work SF-2EU is a whole new game .... .... far better than any expansion Tk (sorry today Tw) could make, if finaly he could stop playng with his silly mobile phones. So thank you so much.

  18. File Name: IL-10 "Beast" File Submitter: paulopanz File Submitted: 30 January 2014 File Category: Other The Ilyushin Il-10 (NATO reporting name: "Beast") was a Soviet ground attack aircraft developed at the end of World War II by the Ilyushin construction bureau. It was also license-built in Czechoslovakia by Avia as the Avia B-33. After the war, until the early 1950s, the Il-10 was a basic Soviet ground attack aircraft. It was withdrawn from service in 1956. The Il-10 and its licensed variant, the Avia B-33, became a basic ground attack plane of the Warsaw Pact countries. From 1949 to 1959, the Polish Air Force used 120 Il-10s (including 24 UIl-10), and 281 B-33s. In Poland, the B-33 was modified to carry 400 l fuel tanks under its wings. From 1950 to 1960, Czechoslovakia used 86 Il-10s, including six UIl-10s, and about 600 B-33s. From 1949 to 1956, the Hungarian Air Force used 159 Il-10s and B-33s, named "Párduc" (Panther). From 1950 to 1960, the Romanian Air Force used 14 Il-10s and 156 B-33s. Bulgaria also used these aircrafts. In the late 1940s, 93 Il-10 and UIl-10s were given to North Korea. They were then used in the 57th Assault Aviation Regiment during the early phase of the Korean War. They were initially used with success against the weak anti-aircraft defense of South Korean forces (following the US refusal to supply the south with "heavy weapons"), but then they suffered heavy losses in encounters against the USAAF fighters and were bombed on the ground themselves. After several weeks, about 20 remained. In the summer of 1950, North Korea received more aircraft from the USSR. The North Koreans claimed to sink a warship on 22 August 1950 with Il-10s, but it was never confirmed. From 1950, Il-10s were used by the People's Republic of China, in two regiments of an assault aviation division. They were used in combat during a conflict with the Republic of China, (Taiwan), over border islands in January 1955. They remained in service until 1972 (replaced by Nanchang Q-5). From 1957, Yemen used 24 B-33s. As we realy needed this plane for every early cold war scenery (KAW, SF2EU, TSF, Taiwan, Timor ....) I decided to finish it at all cost and skin in every known post war liveries. This is a real team work (see credits) WHAT'S IN: - the beast (at last!) - 29 all around world skins (I lacked only Yemen & Indonesia ones, due no pics found) - pilots - guns - weapons CREDITS: - Aleks original model - Cocas 3D upgrading & fixing - Spillone104 3D debugging and fishing up (a new proper back Mg!), sounds - Baffmeister fantastic FM setings - Paulopanz skins, decals & screens OPERATIONS: - canopy open 10 key INSTALL: - all in your mod folder and overwrite TO UPGRADE: - some chinese numbers I wasn't able to find/make by myself ..... The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (NATO reporting name: "Fagot") is a jet fighter developed for the Soviet Union by Mikoyan-Gurevich OKB. The MiG-15 was one of the first successful swept-wing jet fighters, and it achieved fame in the skies over Korea, where early in the war, it outclassed all straight-winged enemy fighters in most applications. The MiG-15 also served as the starting point for development of the more advanced MiG-17. The MiG-15 is believed to have been one of the most widely produced jet aircraft ever made, with over 12,000 built. Licensed foreign production perhaps raised the total to over 18,000.The MiG-15 is often mentioned along with the North American F-86 Sabre as among the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War and in comparisons with fighters of other eras.
