PZL TS-11 Iskra
paulopanz replied to paulopanz's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Sure Daniel. We are only here to enjoy ourselves. That's my point of view. I said "sometimes" is better. Translated from my italian mind to english: this time. We have only to relax and take our hobby easy. -

Although the Tu-16 began as a high-altitude, free-fall bomber, in the mid-1950s it was equipped to carry early Soviet cruise missiles. The Tu-16KS (Badger-B) version could carry AS-1 missiles over a combat radius of 1,800 km (1,125 mi). These very large weapons were aerodynamically similar to the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 fighter, fitted with either a nuclear or conventional warhead, had a range of about 140 km (90 mi). They were intended for use primarily against US Navy aircraft carriers and other large surface ships. Subsequent Tu-16s were converted to carry later, more advanced missiles, while their designations changed several times. A versatile design, the Tu-16 was built in numerous specialized variants for reconnaissance, maritime surveillance, electronic intelligence gathering (ELINT), and electronic warfare (ECM). A total of 1,507 aircraft was constructed in three plants in the Soviet Union, in 1954–1962. They were exported to Egypt, Iraq and Indonesia. If I knew (and realy I didn't ) there was all this (....) under Veltro's Iskra I'll never skin it. BTW I think that what you write it's not good, as this is a pure hobby. Stop here, I'm going to paint my canard spitfire, wasn't it ? ... -

I will upload the rewoked Iskra (just done) very soon, even if I had enough about it and I'ld tempted to throw all away. I think that sometimes is better having a good model, than many perfect unfinished ones ... But if You will not like it at all, please make Your own. Anyway no more work on the Iskra for me. Paul, out. -

As we need some time to finish up the plane adapting to the new shape the skins, the decals and lights position and the FM, I could try to make PWL historical decal numbers. If only someone could have and send them ........ -

Well, Gents, I'm sorry about that, but all what I can say is that if Veltro will decide to verify and change the plane measures I'll reskin it ..... for the third time .... -

Kevin, I was there, too .... just some few years before. PS: thanks to Acesfakia and Strahi I have all JASDF serials. I'ld like to make some more skins for all all the squadrons, who used the dogs. So please help me sending pictures, references .... And a question: had they later the IRM rails like these or not? I really don't know .... -
Ok, welcome back in action. Only to say that Spillone104 & my Tu-16 festival pack (18 planes 18, including stock ones flyables and brand new types) is near to realise, with own weapons, too. Bombers, Nuke Bombers, Recon, Torpedo, Missile Carriers, ECM and much more .... a real, big "Badgerpedia". Inside along EAF (silver & camos) and AURI skins, IRAQI dedicated ones (silver & camo). So, please, stay tuned. @ paul

@ Carlo, they are simply fantastic! :clapping: Semi-mandatory screenshots Here something for Gaunt and all other our Hungarian friends: -
Hey Folks! I started tweaking the rocket pod and finished in upgrading all the line-up, including Lima Sabres. With Spillone's help, of course ...... What I'ld need are some more references for: - Japan, who had a lot of dogs (I don't know if with IRM rails or not) - I asked Whiteboysamurai, but not answer .... - Philippines, who had few (with IRM rails) - Greece, who had few (with IRM rails) [i'm restoring Acesfakia's outstanding ones too ..... ] So serial numbers, pictures, photos will be very welcome. Thank You all. @ Paul
