  1. The future for gaming perhaps?

If you see this with 2010 eyes, I'd say yes you're right. But remember that all governments are trying at all cost to regulate the use of Internet. Probably the internet as we know now will not exist in a couple of years. Remember what we have now, like freedom of speech, freedom of sharing ideas, thoughts, sharing files, etc its not in the interest of many governments and economic groups. So they will try to put some "order" on this even if they have to approve special legislation to do that. Remember Olham, what our European government is trying to do, remember what is already happening with France... So don't doubt that clouding project not only will be possible because the infrastructure is getting more powerful but because the use of Internet will be different. Besides we are already doing some clouding. That is the future that Microsoft, Ubisofts, Governments, bankers, etc want for different reasons. I think Europe is becoming more fascist, more big brother type. I still have some hope, that in the US things might be a little different. They are the "Home of the Brave".
  2. Sopwith Production

    Great picture UK. Thanks.
  3. Rise of Flight - Offline

Not in my part. I don't feel any kind of hostility against you or RoF.
  4. Rise of Flight - Offline

As far as I know a campaign has more than one mission, right?! So I cannot play the whole campaign offline, right?! When I said that one cannot play the campaign in offline mode, I'm being untrue???
  5. Now THAT'S what you call 'Spin Doctoring'

    Eheheh. Lovely. Great find UK.
  6. Welcome. No it will not work with previous versions. Only with phase III.
  7. The future for gaming perhaps?

That's in a way what they called by clouding.
  8. Anti-Ubisoft DRM petition to sign

We can complain about Neoqb, but you can't compare them in any way with UBISOFT. They are relatively small, and they are making an "honest" effort to please their community. Besides they came into a point that if they would want to have more revenues they would have to abolish DRM. UBISOFT is ruled by another kind of people, who usually don't give a damn to the little man who buys their games; they are only interested in big bucks. They worried at most with what the the stockholders may think. Believe me, they belong to another league. They belong to that category that I despised more in modern economy... they are only moved by greed. Sorry if I sound too much negative, but I really think it won't change anything. But the right thing to do is really to sign the petition even in spite of that. EDIT: That petition reminded me one recently about CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and the lack of dedicated servers. More than a quarter of million signed the petition and threatened Infinity Ward that they wouldn't buy the game if they didn't review their decision. Guess what? At the release day more than 90% of those guys who signed, were buying the game in spite they didn't review the decision. People are weak... or is it the flesh?
  9. Rise of Flight - Offline

Well yes. But you still have to be online to play the campaign.
  10. TRON, Tron 2.0, Tron Legacy

I remember quite well TRON. I was already working with computers at the time, and TRON was just amazing. I've it in DVD. It was the first time I saw Jeff Bridges in the cinema. For me the Matrix of the 80's it's not TRON but Blade Runner.
  11. Ubisofts DRM servers fail -

I don't think it's pirated at all. OBD software uses the best protection scheme that exists... OFF was created and is evolving with love and care and great professionalism. Naturally people respect this.
  12. Anti-Ubisoft DRM petition to sign

I will sign, but... it won't change anything. EDIT: 7315
  13. Problem with OFF

More important than running with SP3 compatibility mode is to run as administrator. In my case I don't have SP3 compatibility mode set activated. It seems a little slower in accessing the hardisk, so I decided to try without it. But without Run as Administrator, that's an impossible task; sooner or later "strange things" will happen, like what have happened with you. EDIT: And do it to both files offmanager.exe and csf3.exe.
  14. Problem with OFF

How did you end the free flight? Using the menu? No it's not normal. Are you running with "Run as Administrator" checked?
  15. Please stop zoomzoom. I've no Xbox.
  16. Ubisofts DRM servers fail -

No it wasn't fully cracked. They state that the servers are down because they are being attacked. If OBD chooses to go to this Draconian DRM, I still will support them. If BIS choose this path I'll also support them. But no one else.
  17. The loneliness and the stress of the commanding. Can you imagine what is to send men to their deaths? The guiltiness, the anguish, and all sort of emotions that must be self-contained and not shown to anyone... how do you think that the brain sometimes try to cope with things of that grandeur? I've always wonder how Haig has really dealt with that, never read his letters. I think it was Patton who believed in reincarnation. So as through a glass, and darkly The age long strife I see Where I fought in many guises, Many names, but always me. Patton
  18. WOW. Unfortunately, I really doubt that will port to PC.
  19. I wouldn't want to go back. At most I'd like just to have a glimpse. That's really eerie, RAF. Only thing I know is that the brain is really an amazing organ. Besides that, there are certain phenomenons that can't be rationalized. I'm always skeptical about this things, but I don't pretend to know and try to understand everything.
  20. Ubisofts DRM servers fail -

And eventually it will be cracked...
  21. Is there really significance difference to control the rudders by pedals instead using the twist joystick function? It's a night and day difference?
  22. Good pictures. Thanks for sharing.
  23. 2010 Oscar Results.

True. I'd had like to see "A serious man" winning for best picture, but I knew it wouldn't. For me it was the best from those I saw.. Better "Hurt Locker" than Avatar. At least it's not a sci-fi Titanic. Congrats to "Hurt Locker"
