  1. A bit off topic. But with the indulgence of other mates here I'll give my opinion. Firstly it was not totally bug or unfinished at the release. The campaign did have some bugs but most were ironed after 2 patches. There are still bugs and performance issues that need to be addressed. But BIS devs are known for their commitment in supporting their games. So one thing you can rest assure is that they will support and will solve most of the problems with time. ARMA II is a fabulous and a very ambitious mil sim project. It's the only real sandbox mil sim experience you have in any platform. Besides, there's an all community creating missions, addons, modd, that turn ARMA's II life expectancy from a couple of months of play into years of great gaming experience. Today they released another patch, the fourth, where they ironed and improved a few things. ARMA and OFF are two unique experiences in terms of immersion and playbility. That's what I want and expect in modern gaming. DerMo of you want to know anything more about ARMA II just PM me and I'll be glad to answer. Thank you gentleman.
  2. TrackIR Profiles

I just love that Intel sticker. Thanks Widowmaker. You've just make my day.
  3. TrackIR Profiles

Oh believe me, I've seen much worst. I've been working with computers since 1980. Well you can imagine the stories that I know and have witnessed.
  4. TrackIR Profiles

Press right mouse button on the link and choose "Save Target As" if you use Internet Explorer for web browsing or "Save Link As" if you use Mozilla Firefox.
  5. "Native resolution"

It's easy you only have to do the maths. Divide 4 for 3. Result is 1.33 Divide any of the above 4:3 resolutions and the result will be 1.33 1280x1024 is for 5:4, which is 1.25. But this is more important in LCD monitors. http://en.wikipedia....tive_resolution As for the FOV (Field of View) I thinks it must have the same ratio as the resolution. There are some games that in case you're using a widescreen you've to increase the FOV value to give a correct image. EDIT: Thanks Panama you've explained well.

  7. New Catalyst Drivers 9.9

I've tested them in Win7 and I've the same performance as 9.8. I've read the change log and it seems this was more a fix than a performance drive.
  8. Mother board drivers

No need for new motherboard drivers. You've a Intel chipset motherboard not a Nvidia chipset motherboard. You've a Nvidia dedicated graphic card, so just download the video driver from Nvidia. Anything else better to use Dell support: http://support.dell....n&catid=&impid= But like I've told you have no need for that.
  9. Help on Taget locking

TrackIR 4 is cheaper now. You can by less than 100€. But the suggestion of Free Track given by uncleal is good. EDIT: I've remember another method called Cachya. I don't know if it works well in OFF. http://www.cachya.com/esight/steps.php
  10. "Native resolution"

    Means to run at the proper resolution of for your monitor. 17-19": 1280x1024 (SXGA) 20"+: 1600x1200 (UXGA) 17" (Widescreen): 1280x800 (WXGA) 19" (Widescreen): 1440x900 (WXGA+) 22" (Widescreen): 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) 23.6" (Widescreen): 1920x1080 (WUXGA) 23" (Ultra-Widescreen): 2048x1152 (QWXGA) 24" (Widescreen): 1920x1200 (WUXGA) 30" (Widescreen): 2560x1600 If you don't want distortion at 4:3 monitors these are the proper resolutions: 640×480 800×600 1024×768 1280×960 1600×1200
  11. Mother board drivers

What is the brand and the model of your motherboard?
  12. New System/system upgrade

AFAIK that doesn't affect too much the performance using a PCI-E 2 card in PCI-E16x slot. But if you really want to play other current and future games besides OFF you really have to upgrade. Consider also the i5 for gaming.
  13. New System/system upgrade

If Rugbyfan pretend to play other games or sims than the multicore choice is a good one. Games are beginning to take advantage of multicore systems.
  14. Windows 7

In Win7 (32) it's working flawlessly so far.
  15. What sort of graphics card is this?

That is a professional card for CAD. Not good for gaming but excelent for rendering and DCC.

  17. New Noop anyone?

I'm a new OFFer. Good job sandbagger.
  18. On topic Trivia

I've read in one my WW1 books, that even the materials and the way the trenches were dug were different, like if there was a German style, a British Style and a French style. Regarding this, it doesn't surprise me you observation RAF_Louvert. Thanks for sharing this info.
  19. bad screen problem

    1024 x 768 it's not a 16:9 resolution. What's the size of your screen?
  20. Error when exiting QC

Yes it was the comma that was causing the error. Thank you all.
  21. With Rabu settings I too noticed the same microstutters as BirdDog. So the "recommended" ATI tweaks in terms of smoothing are still the best for me. As for performance I really didn't notice any real difference.
  22. New USA Spad X.III's

    Fantastic job. Well done.
  23. Thanks BirdDog. I use the same settings.
