Hi Shiloh;
I've never paid much attention to comparing the colour schemes to the Jastas I'm facing in a mission. I guess I'll have to pay more attention to this and hopefully will be able to confirm that it either does or doen't happen to me.
I'm usually paying more attention to the labels for reporting purposes. Can I presume that your claims are never rejected due to this conflict?

mmmmmm ... Kool Aid. Lemon-Lime is still my favorite. And they got me drinking it back in my formative years:
Now then, where's a dirty red commie we can target as the common enemy of all that is good and decent?

Thanks for those comment! You made my day! There is never anything so serious that cannot benefit from a little light heartedness!!

Lifting paint tins into the house today, and my back gave out with a sharp pain, that put me squarely on the floor!
My Lovely Collie saved the day though...as I was wriggling about in severe discomfort..she came bounding over, licking me all over, and crying (as dogs do)....then she sat down, and let me use her body to lever myself upright...and escorted me into the house!
My little Black and White hero!!
I was reading your post about your debacle when I glanced over at your icon and read the phrase "excellent lover with a touch of panache" and mused about changing the "panache" to "bad back"
How insensative of me to muse at someones plight., but I had to share the moment with you. Hope you make a quick recovery! I have suffered same and it is not pleasant!

It's all been said here already!!
Excellent Work!!

My standard answer for Aerial Gunnery Training: When the plane in front of you fills up 100% of your view, you are guaranteed to hit him. The only hard part then is turning away before you ram into him or his debris.
Hellshade
Your point about debris is well taken. I experienced just that tonight when my victim's engine with attached spinning propeller passed just over my upper wing after I shot him up!
Had my heart a flutter!!!
Never the less, there are times when fleeting shots require you to effectively lead the opponents trajectory!

Well, I didn't do too badly today either (bagged 23 of 25 clay birds in my trap shooting session at the club....but they don't shoot back!!!!!).
Thanks to the gentleman who extracted this subject matter and set it up as a new post.
I would like to add that the subject "Aerial gunnery training" is quite appropriate. Nothing better than trap or skeet shooting to sharpen your aerial gunnery skills!! I highly recommend it.

I think my MB is dead, Wels. Although it powers up and all of the fans spin, I'm not getting any beeps anymore and no video.
I see that there have been a considerable number of helpful suggestions and offers by many of the members to help you get your system back up and that is great.
That being said, I haven't seen any suggestions on the following and I heartily recommend it if you haven't currently addressed them.
Get an external hard drive of the capacity required to allow you to backup your whole system (OS and personal files). You will never lose your data again and it will aid in recovery in the future.
Save your current hard drives and if you know of anyone with copy software such as "Ghost", you may be able to recover all your files for your new syste,.
Hope this helps some.

Sorry Olham!!
My humour does go astray now and then...
I appreciate your "Special Moment" and didn't plan to hijack your post!

I've often wondered, rjw...just what is the best recipe for cooking and serving a clay bird?
At the risk of sidetracking Oltham post I will answer you.
Cooking and serving clay birds....bonus: no defeathering, guests will not ask for seconds, no mess no fuss!!!

A GOOGLE search on "photos of 419 moose squadron" brings up some photos with markings of some of the Lanc's of 419

One other link you might find useful. There is reference to the "Flight" assignments in this link:

Thanks to Salvo2 and Burning Beard for your response. It is appreciated

Aye! and me too! I can almost feel the chill from the flight suit! Me thinks there might be an Author lurking in the OFF Forums!!!

Oh Blast! Us folks in the States are unable to view the video from Channel 5. Has anybody got an alternate link?
OlPaint
OlPaint;
Ditto that from Canada. Don't know why they restricted the Americas on the Video!

Thanks folks, for all the responses. I really appreciate it.
The Speedlink and the Cytech PS38 cybrog would work fine if they are in fact takedown models.
I really only need throttle and trigger on a twisty stick. I can take my TrackIR for views, no problem.
I will check both sticks out in detail.
Thanks again

I spent this past week crossing off an item that's been on my bucket list since I was about 5 years old: doing real archaeology. I was doing volunteer work at a placed called Poverty Point, an ancient Indian site up in the NE corner of Lousy Anna near the town of Epps.
Thanks for the insight! Great detail provided in your post!! I for one appreciate it.
I have always taken interest in the southwest anasazi cuture, although one other interest is much closer to where you just worked.
"The mound builders" who's culture spanned from 3400BC to the 16th century. Rather than try to elucidate here I would refer to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mound_builder_(people) for a summary. I find that culture very intriguing partly because very little is really known about it in comparison to other indiginous people of North America.

Please!! Somebody tell me that someone makes a miniature twisty stick with throttle that I can take on the road with me. I'm going through frustration and withdrawl trying to fly off by the keyboard!!!
I can't fit my sidewinder FFB into my travel bag cause it's too big!!!

Ah;
Maybe a rear view mirrot to check your six when the wife sneaks up on you would be better!!!
Excuse my humour!!!

The following is an extract common to all the "aircraft.cfg" files. Has anyone had any experience with modifying any of the settings?
I was wondering if it was possible to reduce the intensity of force feedback during take-off so that my stick doesn't vibrate so heavily.
Any discussion on this might be useful to me before I underake experimenting.

Hello Eric;
I just finished reading all the posts in this Topic and very much appreciated you sharing your experiences with your grand father. Very few veterans like to talk about their experiences in the wars and to have a relative willing to talk with you about it is very special. You are a very lucky man to have had your grand father share his experiences with you.
I also welcome you to the Forum. There is little I can say that has not already been conveyed to you in these posts. I will say that I agree with the recommendation that when time permits you make an attempt to read your grand fathers diaries as I think you will find them very inciteful.
All the best and enjoy the sim because there is in my opinion no better one out there for all it offers.

No fear, rjw, I do also appreciate the time the team invest in the building of the sim, I really do.
But sometimes (and only very rarely) I may take the freedom and ask for something that I think
should be looked at again. Like the throttle lag of Albatros for example.
But I only do that, because I want to help to improve OFF - not to criticise.
Oltham, I understand that and my comments were directed more to Polovsky not to you. Members like you make every effort to aid the improvement of the Development Team and I'm sure they understand and respect that.
I merely wanted to say Thanks to Polovsky for spending the time to consider input like yours in a constructive way. As I said before, very few Sims provide the kind of support that he OFF team has done and I for one really app;reciate it.
I'm wanting to believe that the development of P4 is more than partly due to constructive criticism by experienced memberfs.
Best Regards

If you guys will allow me to put my two-cents worth....
...there you are.
Gee! I'd put my two cents worth in too if my wife hadn't cleaned out my pockets just before doing the wash! Darn, Will I ever learn!!!

Shiloh;
I did as I promised and did not duplicate your problem. I had three missions and all went well. Let me know how you make out with your tests. I may run a few more just to be sure.
I have attached three screen captures of opposition and map data:
