Hi all, me stupid, stupid, stupid, started TRYING to do some editing of the cat files. I got all of them extracted, they were put into folders in the drive i specified. Now the problem is where do I put them now. In the /thirdwire/strikefighters2vietnam/objects folder, and do I just dump all of the contents of the files created there or what? Also the .msn i see, in the missions, 2 folders, one is training missions, and the other Combat missions, then there area some .msn files in that folder also, but most are in the training and combat folders, Where should all the .msn files be located? Actually none of the carrier missions work but I might be able to work thru this. Probably dont have some files loaded or in the wrong place. Attached is my mission folder.

I have actually axtracted all the cat files, except 2 which says it is wrong. I did make a copy of all the cat files but the question is after I have extracted them and edited them where do I put them. I am running new strick fighter 2, windows 7. In the same respect with mission files. should the msn files go directly into the mission folder. I notice I have folders in them called combat missions, training missions and other missions. Should the msn files actually go directly into the mission folder of saved games/thirdwired/strickfightervietnam/missions?

1968 and i have used from 1968 to 1998 with no luck

When I change the AC type in the Dong Hoi mission I still get the a7 and f8 cockpit, can you tell me why? The only thing i changes was the AircraftType=FA-18C

can someone tell me which weapons pack i can use and exactly where to install it. I have killerbees, the last version, put it in the saved games, thirdwire, strikefighter2 vietnam, and am using windows 7. Actually I'm trying to add the mk-77 Napalm to some aircraft.

I have sf2v, sf2e and wanted to find out if there are any missions that are actually strike missions based on aircraft carriers. I have looked and cant find anything.

I am just curious. When you extract the object files. i copy the files inot another directory. Extract them. then edit the files how i want to. Now? how does the original object files, which are still in the strike fighter folder get the info from the other file?

Could you help me wrench on the editing? I'm not very good at that at all. I would appreciate it. you can bring the terrain into SF2 with about 30 seconds of editing, and that mostly for the shader effects wrench kevin stein

I thought that I could edit the the say (f-15) data or loadout files to put extra weapons capabilities to missions but seems I cant now. I have just downloaded the new SF2 WOV and have done the new weapons expatsion pack update but still cant add a weapon to the aircraft. For instance a Maverick. Can anyone help me please

can someone tell me where to find the desert storm terrain for the f-14 strike? I am using WOE sf2.

Ok I guess it is only for sp1 not sp2, I have sp2 and tried to download the desert storm and it is saying only for sf1

Am I right to assume this only works with SF1 and not SF2? the Desert storm missions only work in sf1 apparently

This is the existing directory of the objects file but cant find any index files or other types of objects files yet it still tells me it exists. Doc1.pdf

I have sf2, windows 7, i have extracted all my object files with the cat program, the cat program is located in the same folder as my object files, c:\program files(86)/thirdwire/strike fighter 2/objects. Can someone tell me where the extracted files are, I have looked every where and if i try to re-extract them it says it has already been extracted.
