Hoorah I would not mind if that was on the Bank of America's doors (assuming they were referring to American Soldiers) due to the fact that I hold Freedom of Speech the 1st, most important staple of free society. That I will happily defend.

Hehehe, that's one I can't show the wife!

IMO, Korea would be the appropriate setting for this bird, not WWII. In Korea you get meaningful ground support missions and you wouldn't have to cover all of western Europe or the area between Iwo Jima and Honshu.

Individual speech packs for different nations
exhausted replied to thereg's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Who else is willing to do an American speech pack? I'm more then willing to portray certain parts of it. To be honest, we need more then one voice (especially Slim Pickens) for the main speech pack. -
Probably similar to tactics with F-15s and F-16s during the same era. The F-15s would do fighter sweeps and protect the Phantoms as needed. The Phantoms would probably try to avoid MiG-29s altogether.

Flying the Phantom
exhausted replied to Hellfire257's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You sure won't get many kills per mission using my method, but a brilliant leader named Robin Olds once directed successful Phantom pilots to keep their speed up over 400 indicated at all times during a fight so they could separate quickly if needed. If you fly right then you may get your chance at a Sidewinder shot from the rear. There should never be a need to carry a cannon pod, since realistically they had speed limitations on when they could be fired (read slow). I hate to bore you with a long, drawn out video, but this one shows what I mean on keeping your 'E' up and earning the chance kill: Check at 6:45 for a lead in to the kill, including some failed sidewinder action -
First Production Model F-35B Delivered
exhausted replied to starfighter2's topic in Military and General Aviation
It'll work. The USA is readjusting for conventional war again and I think this is all going to be the right step. I know they have been around my base a lot lately, but catching them is very hard when I'm in the shop! Hoorah! Kill! Semper Fi! Heh, with this current lousy congress I wouldn't be surprised at all! -
4.11 released!
exhausted replied to Dave63's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Hallelujah! Good work team! Thanks for your countless, and seemingly thankless hours on this patch! This will make my month! -
Thanks for the heads up. I am very sensitive about consumer support issues and this kind of treatment infuriates me. I will never consider ever buying a single product from them. And to make the problem worse on them, I am about to start college on my GI Bill in a few months and they will never be considered for my needs.

Newbie Seeking help!
exhausted replied to SpitfireNut22's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
When you buy the game and download it then it should be current. You need to use something called a 'MODS' directory, not the c:/program files/thirdwire/strike fighters 2 vietnam folder You mods folder will automatically set up when you run the game. It will be in your "My Documents" folder or in your c:/users/(name)/documents and settings/my games/thirdwire -
Happy Birthday from over in the Strike Fighters forums!

Iran displays captured UAV
exhausted replied to rotarycrazy's topic in Military and General Aviation
I don't think they'd keep it that color if it was a fake. That screams obvious, but the CIA screams unconventional... In my mind it's real. It's mostly compromised and we surround those bastards. It's not problem to invade their airspace with manned and unmanned aircraft for strikes on their military might. They can't hide them all from NATO. These mother f***ers are on borrowed time. I'm not a hawk, well usually, but I also don't feel like backing away from a fight. -
Iran displays captured UAV
exhausted replied to rotarycrazy's topic in Military and General Aviation
Is it cheaper and easier to train hackers or a complex air defense network, including SAMS, AAA, and interceptors? Me thinks this was hacked. I said It was yesterday on a whim, but it's not too far fetched to have something slip away from us like that. 1999: F-117 shot down 2002: UAV shot down by MiG-25 2009: Insurgents use cheap video messaging program ($60 I think) to watch live feed of what the Americans were trying to kill next. 2011: Iran uses computer technology, with probable assistance with Chinese hackers, to jam all traffic feeds to the drone, replace it with theirs, and giggle as they land it in their backyard. What's not to believe about that? Truth is stranger then fiction. Stealth is not an exclusive anymore. Kill the Ayatollas, and every cleric, Middle Eastern, American, EVERYWHERE, just leave the people! Take care of it and liberate us all. -
How long does it take to get her that high?

This means that the engines will have spares. This is probably the single most important part of the Harrier program, (just look at the bird, it's BUILT around the engine), so these souped up birds could provide several parts for the project. The interchangeability of the airframes is of utmost convenience. Maybe the 74 airframes will mean 2-3 reserve squadrons becoming reactivated. This will ensure Harrier longevity, like the article said, into the mid-2020s. Just a couple of years ago, we all thought the Harriers were on the brink of retirement. The F-35 has moved along after delays, but the Harriers are still slated to stick around.

Future of DCS/LOMAC/FC
exhausted replied to streakeagle's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Flying Legends seems to be sperate from the next DCS, which has me hoping for the AV-8B+! -
Thanks to the Marines past who have made our corps a lasting part of out country. If not for the sacrifices made to beat even the longest odds, our country would never have seen a need to keep us around. Here's a fact you need to know about the corps if you don't already: The United States doesn't need a Marine Corps, it wants one! Happy 236th brothers and sisters
