SF2 WW2 PTO B-26 Marauder Pak
exhausted replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Awesome job. I was just letting zero cinco know that his Marauders were 5 types of f*cked up today on his Facebook, then this comes along! So for you WWII Pacific Marauder enthusiasts, let's see: No gun packs - check small intakes on engine nacelles: check small windows for belly guns: check short wings, horizontal stabs, vertical stabs: check early style tail gun: hmmm I think there may be a discrepancy here Good job on your model Veltro and Wrench!!! Though this represents the NG B-26s well it also works for the Aleutians and Midway! -
Full Metal Jacket and Platoon. I had a hard time with We Were Soldiers and Flight of the Intruder (sorry Carlos, but I wrote that before I read your response). Apocalypse Now wasn't even about Vietnam -- it was just a Greek poem set in Vietnam. Bat 21 was great. Regarding Full Metal Jacket being too surreal... maybe, but it did a fantastic job encapsulating the mentality of the Marine Corps in war, both stateside and abroad. It wasn't bad in that respect. It may have been very quotable, but it was pretty god damn authentic and any enlisted Marine who's gone through San Diego or Parris Island will tell you a myriad of quotes which they heard while there, that will live with them until they die. The over-the-top nature of the Marines was not exaggerated as much as you may think in FMJ.

Them ladies luv them planes ;)

I'm sorry this happened to you! I hope for a swift recovery of both your physical injury and of your belongings. 2013 will be better because tomorrow is in your hands. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season.

Basic features or more, but should not include developments such as P-39 and P-63. Fore example: Su-24 = F-111 T-4 = Alphajet J-22 = Jaguar

I miss this guy. He went against the grain in his personal life and, like Sinatra, seemed to do it His way.

We haven't been informed since August 2012, and now it's November. How's the project? What are the plans? -
Can't overlook those Marines in their Dress Blues D!

DCS: Light Sim?

If the planes, at minimum, meet the quality standards of FC2, then yes it would be awesome. The 3d models still need updates though. -

The Sgt was from MALS-13, my fmr. squadron. The LtCol was from VMA-211, the Avengers. I left the MALS in January and I take this very personally. I will remember them tonight as I take a shot for them. Semper Fidelis, Marines. RIP

I can do you one better. The CURRENT president, not a republican, is sending FAST there. So don't give him sh*t for this. There's a difference between 3,000 protestors, and a few tens of killers. No problem for them there. It's not like Prowlers can't jam Libyan radar, and have Harriers support them. We can get as many boots on the ground as we need, 50 is not a bad start. It is using good judgement in a trying time. I was instructed by a FAST Marine and believe me, their training is tip top.

OT A tiddly14 yr old :(
exhausted replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
14 and boozing it.... You'll all look back and laugh. It's pretty funny when they think the most important part of it all is 'keeping up' with the men. I just started college at 26 (I was in the military until this year) and I'm in some classes with kids just out of high school. Hearing them brag about their drinking abilities usually gets a chuckle out of me. It's just so funny to hear them miss the point. Anyways, having a VERY light go at him probably would make him think twice in the future, being 14 and all :) -

Syria rebels claim military Mig 23 fighter shot down
exhausted replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
This is him, allegedly. This video may be a violation of the Geneva Convention's law on parading or displaying POWs. Then again these guys aren't a part of any recognized state. He doesn't look like he's being mistreated or harmed. A colonel has a lot he can tell you if you treat him right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=98T0gytt04Y -
Syria rebels claim military Mig 23 fighter shot down
exhausted replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
I just want to send 1 flight of 4 F-22s to stand on station over Syria for a little while... I really wish the Russian, Chinese, and Iranian leadership weren't running their traps in the UN or we would have had Assad either behind bars or dead by now. But the advantage of American technology is we could clear the skies in short time no matter what China or Russia says. It's nice to be able to do that whenever the hell you want... -
Syria rebels claim military Mig 23 fighter shot down
exhausted replied to MigBuster's topic in Military and General Aviation
The guys at ACIG are saying it was shot down by heavy MG fire. The pilot was captured by a rebel group. He is a colonel. The group that shot it down is NOT Free Syrian Army. They are the 'Revolutionary Youth of the Land of the Euphrates'. http://www.acig.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=6875&start=150 Stefan... you're now going into 'could be' date=' would be, should be, might be' realms. Please have a look around this thread: we're attempting to report, reconstruct and explain what's going on on the battlefields of Syria. Ulysses is carefully studying dozens of videos and photos, Amrircos explains what's up 'in field' around Aleppo; I'm following the news and trying to assess what's going on in regards of fighting and where. We do not try to guess who could, would, should or might do - and I mentioned this issue solely because the FSyA commanders in Aleppo were attacking various local intel headquarters already since three weeks, and wanted to do the same with the main intel HQ too. I.e. within the context of 'who, why, where and how' about fighting. Also, I'm really tired of attempting to explain how the Syrians fighting this war against Assadists see the situation: if that was not enough, I really don't even want to try helping any more. Just please be so kind and leave that for some other place.[/quote'] -
1/48 Arii kit I know there are mistakes, but I'm happy with it. The learning experience made the build.

Of coarse... It's an unedited photo.

I have never tried anything other then free hosts and some picture hosting sites, but I want my own baby. I want it mainly to host my pictures and information about my interests. I want my own domain and a web server for my files. What am I looking for in terms of money and abilities? Where should I look for hosts? Thanks.
-
Facebook won't cut it because I want to host LARGE pictures from airshows and I don't want everything I do to be their property. I also think that reserving a domain for the future could benefit me should I want to develop my site into something more serious. I'm almost 30 and it will be good to have my pick while options are still out there :) I'll follow up with details on my decision in the future. Thanks for all the input everybody.

How'd you use your tax returns this year? What's your adjustible gross income? How much do you spend on electricity in the 782--? What's your social security number? I'm not sure why you'd even ask how I'm using my income since it's not your business to begin with. That being said, I intend my website to be small, and host pictures and information on my interests. I have no current plans to use this for any educational purposes what so ever, or blog about my military experiences online. Column5, thanks for the pointer. What do you use for your .us? Thanks to everybody for the good wishes.
