  1. Ok, now I've got it playing in the game, but is there a way I can have it loop, so once you touch down, it keeps playing?
  2. Ok, thanks! I'll see what Audacity can do with it!
  3. Hi all, Sorry to ask so many questions. I searched for this but couldn't really find a good answer. I was trying to replace the default TireTouch track to a sound of an aircraft touching down on the ground from inside the cockpit. I saved that file as a .WAV file which I know SF2 needs, and then re-named it to TireTouch. When my aircraft touches down in game, I don't hear my track, or maybe it is just really quiet. The recording it's self is very loud, but who knows. I was wondering how to make custom sounds work in the game that weren't made for it in the first place. Thanks! liamp51 EDIT: I tried to edit the SOUNDLIST.INI but to no avail.
  4. EDIT: Will work with any of the F-111s. Just drop in folder and overwrite when asked.
  5. View File Re-textured F-111A cockpit. Here is my cockpit re-paint for the F-111A that comes with the SF2V Ground War Expansion Pack. I don't know the creator of the cockpit as he left the community some years ago. But I give him credit for the beautiful job on the 3D part. Directions: Drop into your F-111A folder and overwrite when asked. Enjoy! Submitter liamp51 Submitted 03/12/2011 Category Jet Cockpits

  7. Thanks guys! I'll fix mah weapons! I'll be releasing the cockpit re-texture in the next day or so!
  8. Hi all, I was playing around with the F-111A today and set the load-out to 12 CBU-72B Fuel air explosive bombs and dropped the. I was expecting a napalm effect, but got no effect at all. I have Stray's BEAUTIFUL Unified Effects Mod 1.0 for SF2. Is there a way I can manually add the effect for weapons that don't have effects? Also: I am doing a cockpit re-paint for the F-111A and need to know the creator of the cockpit so I can give him credit. Thanks! liamp51
  9. Hi, Well, thank you Stray!!! I got the cockpit with modified .inis transplanted into the MiG-19S, but hit a problem: The guns don't aim at the gun sight. What .ini entry do I have to modify to get the gun aiming point right? Thanks! liamp51
  10. Hi Stray, I was just wondering where you got the cockpit for the MiG-17 at 1:36 in your YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/user/Starkiewicz#p/a/u/1/NM24Q6DWJZU Thanks! liamp51
  11. The one thing I would like to see and improvement on is the terrain tile system. You can see the square borders where the textures don't quite match up quite often. I would also like to see better water textures. These are my only suggestions! Oh, I forgot...3D overhaul on the Ol' MiG-17's! :P
  12. H all, After I installed the MiG-21 cockpits...my MiG-21s don't seem to have an afterburner effect anymore. I'm not sure how to edit the DATA.ini for such a situation and would like to know since there are a few other aircraft that don't have the afterburner effect. Thanks! liamp51
  13. I love how TW did the destroyed aircraft LODS. They are so much more realistic than the flaming crater in IL-2! :P
  14. It would be cool to put some of those randomly on the maps around old Soviet airfields and such for atmosphere!
  15. lol, thanks guys, just wanted to see if it was possible! :D
  16. Ummm, SAS1946 is my favorite site: http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php You can get a good base mod pack there like UP2.01(Ultra Pack). They also have many links to other MOD websites out there. liamp51
  17. Wow, really looks awesome! Hope it can be made to work in the future! liamp51
  18. Hi all, I have been flying the Red Alert campaign in North Vietnam in the MiG-17 and 19, and love those two planes! I was wondering if it would be possible to create new custom cockpits for them using parts and textures from the MiG-17 cockpits that are in IL-2 1946. Obviously, you would have to get permission from the IL-2 modders responsible for their cockpits. I have some screen shots of the cockpits in question: I'm not a modder, and don't know if IL-2 material can be converted to be used in SF2, but just wanted to suggest it! Thanks, liamp51
  19. Thank you! I renamed the folder and I had the stock weapons, then deleted the folder and reinstalled the weapon mod and it works perfectly now! Thank you! liamp51
  20. Hi all, I installed Gunny's ordinance mods for SF2 but have a huge problem. None of my aircraft whether stock, or modded, can carry drop tanks! Another thing is when I select a modded aircraft for strike mission, or whatever, the reccomended loadout isn't there. All the stations are empty and I have to populate them my self. Not sure whats going on, I really like all the extra weapons I can have, but I do need droptanks! liamp51
  21. What I meant by that (and I should have said this from the get-go) is that no matter HOW powerful your computer is, IL-2 NEVER runs above 60 FPS. Especially with all the mods for it, it has become almost un-playable for a lot of people. I have my IL-2 modded to infinity, and it is very CPU taxing when run with all those mods which is to be expected. The engine just can't handle modern equipment. IL-2 doesn't even understand a dual-core system, or more than 256MB of RAM! :P Trust me, I know, I've been playing it for 4 years! :P
  22. I have been tracking this game since it was supposed to come out in 2006!!!! There are so many rumors about it. Some say it is more realistic than IL-2 1946, and some say it's gash for realism. You can believe what you want, but since I'm a huge IL-2 fan I'm going to buy it regardless. Apparently Oleg, the game creator said his PC was not powerful enough to run the game! I just hope it won't be a CPU hog like IL-2 and FSX were! Lets just hope that it will be released in the next 10 years or so! liamp51
