  1. Would it not just be easier to delete the gimme posts and leave the thread open for any advent of updates from Gux or useful info for the project from other members? Surely locking the thread would then only cause many knock on threads asking for its release.
  2. Your best probable bet for non-US cockpits are various walk around sites, www.primeportal.net and www.aircraftresourcecenter.com are two of the best around
  3. My new son...

Congratulations Brian, all the best to you and you family!
  4. Here's a side profile I found of the US Army eval aircraft.
  5. Monty Python Quotes

It's not pining, its passed on! This parrot is no more! It has ceased to be! Its expired and gone to meet its maker! This is a late parrot! This is an ex-parrot!
  6. I believe that Marcfighter has done this skin for one of the flanker models, I definitely remember seeing a snap of it quite a while ago.
  7. capun, I don't know if this will be relevant since you are modelling the C variant, but I came across a D model cockpit walkaround that may help. http://daytonipms.com/Walks/OV-1D/OV-1dCockpit.htm
  8. Brilliant Marcello! Very nice model you have there
  9. A .rar file does exactly the same job as a .zip file, however the compression is said to be better, and it is therefore preferred for download files. Suxh programs as Winrar or 7zip can open .rar files for you. As for the popping noises, you'd have to talk to someone with some techy knowledge.
  10. Some time, and somehow, the F-8E will be coming in high rez...
  11. All those birds that drdoyo mentioned are being made by Marcello, apart from the Su-24, thats by a different author. Kepp up the great work Marcello
  12. Flanker, thats some serious weathering! Would you be able to share some tips on how to achieve such an effect at all?
  13. Marcello, here are some walkarounds that may help you too... www.primeportal.net F-18 Walkarounds
  14. I take it that you are referring to the second Gulf of Sidra incident?
  15. Falcon, pm me youe email address, I might have something that will interest you
  16. The two most notable sightings of an Su-27 were in the regions of Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park. Accordingly, an F-117 had been seen in the same time frame as the flankers were observed on both occasions. Other Soviet aircraft in United States hands have included the MiG-15, MiG-17, plenty of MiG-21's, MiG-23, Su-22, Mi-2, Mi-8/17, Mi-24, Mi-14 and the Ka-32. What I love best is though, the account of when one of the no longer used Mig-21's worked its way into delivery to a USAF Museum... What I would have given to have been there
  17. The mapping for the previous MiG-23 models by the Mirage Factory is virtually the same to the MiG-27 model released by USAFMTL. So any of those skins that you see in that download directory linked by Coolhand should work almost perfectly with the '27 model.
  18. Marcfighter, you are definitely one mean model making machine! Way to go man
  19. Ya'll Take Care

Good luck Dave, god speed to your recovery mate.
  20. Hey Rampstrike, I've been meaning to get back to you on this. I have in fact redrawn the stock F-15A skin in high rez at 2048 px square and am in the slowest of all processes of making a new skin out of it. I shall see what I can do about those schemes you have mentioned though. If you want to do a new set of low viz nation decals, it would be worth downloading the decal tutorial here at combatace. That will help you understand how nation decals are organised. Also, to make the decals themselves, if you don't fancy splashing out some money for a program, there is a very reputable painting program called 'The Gimp' that many members who skin use.
  21. Thats what I've been looking into. However, my luck has pretty much been null in terms of finding good shots of pilot outfits on the net. I went to Duxford Air Museum a few weeks ago and managed to get a nice high rez version of this though:
