SidDogg, if you're using Paint for your skinning, you could go miles better with a different program; The Gimp. It's completely free and is almost upto scratch with Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. Oh, and nice kill markings mate!

If you go into the L39ZA.ini in the L39ZA folder, to make the shadow not appear, change the following line... [shadow] CastShadow=FALSE<<<<<< Change to this ShadowLOD=l39.shd ShadowType=1 ShadowCastDist=80 MaxVisibleDistance=80 This will cause the shadow to not appear. I don't know about not having any weapon instructions. Perhaps download the file again. There is a weapons folder with the weapondata.ini entry and the gunpod files included. For instructions on adding the weapondata.ini entry see the knowledge base, there is a tutorial there.

When you extract the archive file, you should get an L39ZA folder, Weapons folder and a readme file. There are instructions on how to add the gunpod. As to the low fps, I just experienced that as well. I made two flights, one with and without the shadow on. Turning the shadow off or deleting the shadow line from the L39ZA.ini file will give you a much better FPS.

If you go to http://www.simmerspaintshop.com they have all the of the Federal Standard colours converted to RGB values for you to use.

It does, yes. In fact I know of two in the downloads section. One is Jarink's skin, and the other is in USAFMTL's F/A-18A USN skin pack. Both are in the F/A-18A skins section.

There certainly is yes, there is a canopy opening mod for nearly all the stock aircraft in SF and WOV in I believe the Object Downloads section. There has recently been a new feature implemented by TK, which allows up to 10 key designations for set animations on an aircraft.

Would it not just be easier to delete the gimme posts and leave the thread open for any advent of updates from Gux or useful info for the project from other members? Surely locking the thread would then only cause many knock on threads asking for its release.

Your best probable bet for non-US cockpits are various walk around sites, www.primeportal.net and www.aircraftresourcecenter.com are two of the best around

I believe that Marcfighter has done this skin for one of the flanker models, I definitely remember seeing a snap of it quite a while ago.

A .rar file does exactly the same job as a .zip file, however the compression is said to be better, and it is therefore preferred for download files. Suxh programs as Winrar or 7zip can open .rar files for you. As for the popping noises, you'd have to talk to someone with some techy knowledge.
