  10. Odd, I have Win7 64-bit Ultimate, for me I just unzipped the "MuesToolBox" folder and clicked on the any of the EXE files in it and they ran first time for me. Did you make sure that your Anti-Virus software is not blocking the file? Some people were having trouble with that.
  11. The all weather version does have the area rule fuselage, although it looks like it is not as pronounced in the image above. http://retromechanix.com/north-american-all-weather-super-fury/nggallery/image/image-592 It is possible that it is there, just not visible due to the angle of your screenshots. In the screenshots it looks to me like a pre-area rule F-100 mid fuselage.
  12. I have been playing around with the F-106 again due to dtmdragon's new "F-106A Delta Dart in Vietnam (What if)" mod. It got me wondering. Does anyone have the MAX file for the "F-106A.LOD" and the "F-106_Pit.LOD"? On the one hand, I was thinking about possibly fixing the issue with the automatic doors when launching missiles. However the thing that I am really interested in is making an alternate cockpit with the Project Six Shooter canopy. In fact using Mue's LODViewer I was able to make the top bar of the "CanopyFrame" node transparent by editing a copy of the "F-106_Frames.bmp" file and then making saving it in TGA format. The LODViewer does not care about the format as long as the file names match. However the F-106_Pit.LOD has Material ID 1 set to a BMP format so the modified TGA file is not used by the game in flight.
  13. Should not the fuselage have a visible area rule pinch to it?
  14. You should be able to have different files, I just took a look at one of the add-on aircraft I have the F-16C_B25 and in its cockpit folder is an "F-16C_TVgreen.jpg" file which is referenced in the "F-16C_B25_AVIONICS.INI" file. Unfortunately I don't have time to test it today.
  15. PFunk, make sure you have Veltro2k's Boeing B-47B Stratojet 1.0 first. If so then place the mission and modified aircraft files I have attached into there proper folders and see if the B-47's bomb the airbase they are targeting. B-47 Test.7z Note: I accidentally used Desert 4 instead of Desert when making the mission so if you don't have that terrain installed let me know and I can rebuild the test missions in a different terrain.
  16. angelp, have you taken another helicopter than you know does work from a ship and then done a line by line comparison in both aircraft's data INI files of all the flight control, AI, flight model data point to look for anything out of the ordinary that might explain the behavior?
  17. Which B-47 are you using? I just tested Veltro2k's B-47B and they dropped their bombs just fine. Maybe we can compare the data files of our B-47's to see if there is an error in them?
  18. Well one thing to keep in mind is that in SF2 the players RWR does not detect active radar missiles. Read the articles below from the SimHQ Air Combat Corner Library. I would also recommend reading "The Flight Briefing" section of this page under "Air to Air", the articles are old but still relevant. Tactics 101 – Offensive & Defensive Maneuvers A2A Weapons Delivery In Strike Fighters
  19. Yes there have been Graphic issues with Nvidia cards, below is a thread discussing the issue. http://combatace.com/topic/87313-graphics-problem/
  20. A-4 Skyhawk Joyride

What is interesting to me is what the Foxtrot Alpha article says happened to him afterwards. Link to LA Time article: All Counts Dropped Against Marine for Jet Fighter Joy Ride by Gary Jarlson, Staff Writer, LA Times, November 7th, 1986.
  21. Wrench, you're right about a mesh in the rudder hinge area.
  22. Part of that is controlled by the entries below in the EnvironmentSystem.INI. [EnvironmentSystem] UpdateRate=60.0 InclinationAngle=23.5 Latitude=34 The other part is controlled by the "Latitude=" and "Longitude=" statements in each Terrain's main INI file.
  23. Small error in the mods file structure. You missed the "d" in the "GroundObject" folder. Also you forgot the place all of the file into a folder with the same name as the 7z file. All of your other ships are packed that way so I think you just missed it on this one and the Takao.
  24. BWyld, for SF1 check out the links below. Especially the Knowledge Base. http://combatace.com/forum/99-thirdwire-strike-fighters-1-series-knowledge-base/ http://combatace.com/files/category/30-sfwo-utilitieseditors/ http://www.thirdwire.com/downloads_tools.htm Edit: As an additional note ground objects go into the "C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters\Objects\GroundObject" folder. You place them there in much the same way as Aircraft are placed in the Aircraft folder.
