  1. Writer's block

I have to agree with Heck's recommendation. Am English professor of mine once said that one should start writing anything that comes to mind no matter what it is, just every random thought that crosses ones mind and eventually you will start writing things that make cohesive sense.
  2. Wrench, this is what I remembered Stephen1918 telling me when we worked on the V&W Class, might this be the cause of your issue?
  3. Here are some Moskva diagrams and photos for your reference. moskva.7z
  4. Wrench, when Stephen1918 and I were working on the V&W class destroyers we were having an issue with the pennant number decals showing up properly. It might be related to your issue, I will look and see if I can find what he said about fixing it.
  5. I did a little looking around and this is apparently called a 350PX. Most likely it is a variant of the Bofors SAK 40/L70-350 mount. I also found this info... http://blair-military.blogspot.com/2011/03/l70-bofors-40mm.html and these similar 40mm mounts on a Brazilian patrol boat... http://www.brasilemdefesa.com/2013/08/classe-grajau.html ...and these mounts on some Chilean boats. plus this 40mm /L70 Mod.1958 single mount.
  6. Brevity Code for Rocket Pod Launch?

You can also try this. http://fas.org/irp/doddir/army/fm1-02-1.pdf I think this is what you want. NAILS (direction) 1. RWR indication of AI radar in search. 2. * [A/S] 2.75-inch flechette rockets.
  7. How well do you know Top Gun?

    19 of 20, I missed number 8.
  8. Found this site for the building plastic models of USAF Aircraft. http://www.usaf-sig.org/ I thought that people here at CombatACE might be interested in it because of what is in their download section. http://www.usaf-sig.org/index.php/references/downloads Look under "Technical Orders" in the "Type-Specific" page. There are manuals for about forty different aircraft that have been flown by the USAF. Edit: Updated the links.
  9. Il-2 '46's new supermod!

Here is the answer for the "packaging". http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WTUS_WWII.htm The Mk 13 used add-on wooden shrouds and fins to allow it to be dropped reliably from higher altitude and air speeds. They would brake away when the torpedo hit the water.
  10. Nyghtfall, try these for blender info. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro http://gryllus.net/Blender/3D.html Edit: I just realized that this is my five hundredth post on CombatAce.
  11. This update is great. I was able to plot out missile and gun muzzle positions with ease. A far cry from the trial and error I had to go through when I last updated the Slava's data file.
  12. Bring on the Laser Weapons

A couple of different videos from last year.
  13. After the North-Korean version of Top Gun

I thought that the B-52 was great and at the Sidewinders.
  14. Japan's WW2 'Musashi battleship wreck found'

Interesting news. I wonder what the wreck looks like on the sea floor. This is the condition Yamato is in.
  15. The LOD Viewer can't seem to find stock First Eagles 2 LOD's. It can read them if they have been extracted but it can't find them in the CAT's.
  16. The LOD Viewer does not seem to see .TGA files nor does it see colored materials without a texture.
  17. Just figured out what I was doing wrong. If select the LOD file then it is just the model. If I select the object's main INI file then I get texture.
  18. Wrench, try putting the textures in the same folder as the LOD and reload. That is what I had to do to view the textures on the Indepencence-CVL.
  19. The stock SF2:NA EA-6B has its jammer set up in the EA-6B_data.ini. The only thing it can carry externally are ARM's so it is likely that the AI will not use external jamming pods.
  20. WBS, I have attached some photos that should help with the Essex. Essex Photos.7z
  21. I have taken a look at the LST MK1 HellisDeck and it has two issues. It is lacking a collision mesh and it does not have a flight deck collision mesh. It needs the first in order to be sold to other objects and it needs to second for the aircraft to land on a ship. Without it any landing attempt will be a crash.
  22. Weapon attachment angles?

Maybe the sidewinder mounts on the F-22 will help as they are pointed at a downward angle. 23. There should be a lot of AAA. I recall Robin Olds saying in an interview that according to his intelligence reports there were more AA weapons within 100 miles of Hanoi than the Germans had in all of Europe in WWII.
