  1. Excellent, Drach nails it again, I like the way all his vids are very mater of fact, and he speaks with deep knowledge. As for the "Takao  Incident" this was hushed up rather swiftly, until some wise ass Japanese thought it would be an awfully spiffing show to make "Sience'ee Fiction'ee" Documentaries on the subject of The King of the Monsters.

  2. IAR 80/81 REDUX PACK

    IAR 80/81 PACK.

I was not originally going to release this pack, as I was unsure of the reaction to a relativley unknown ( unfortunately ) Fighter. but after the relative success of the PZL's I uploaded last week, I though it would be nice to send these IAR's your way too. The IAR's were only ever used by the Romanians, and was in service until the early 50's so that in itself speaks volumes about this rather attractive aircraft.

Anyway, this is a slight rework of Pasko's IAR 80A and 81C, I have also included a <cough> alternative and completely "What if" IAR 80P I shall let you look and see at to what  THAT is all about !!!

So, the details, I have edited the original skins, and have reworked ALL the decals, I have added the stencilling as accurately as I could, but there maybe a few errors here and there in the actual positioning of them, as finding detailed pictures of the type is just not there. The stencilling is very sparse, so I think I have got it mainly right ( I hope !! ) I have updated the sounds, and the weapons loadouts, as for some unknown reason, the original bomb loadouts were wrong, So the 80A now carries ONLY 2, 50Kg bombs under the wings, and the 81C has the centreline 250Kg and 2, 50Kg under wing bombs. The 80P however has the original loadout, because why not, it is a "What if" innit hehehehehe. The "real" IAR's in this pack carry German weapons, and are armed with for the 80A 6,  7.9mm FN Brownings, and the 81C has 2 MG151 20mm,s and only 2 of the FN Brownings . The 90P's are armed with ITALIAN bombs, 50, 100, and 250 KG's and gun armament  comprises of 4,  Breda SAFAT 7.7 mm MG's and a pair of Breda SAFAT 12.7mm MG's.

All the markings have been replaced from the original ones, which I found too bright and "in yer face" and then I added on the differing markings from later years.

Everything is included in the pack, aircraft, decals, guns, pilots, weapons, and sounds. I have boxed everything up so it just a drag and drop kinda deal. One point though, please please PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE ensure that the  file  GunBarrel20mm is in the Pilots folder, or else you will end up with a very odd looking aircraft ( this is for the 81C. )  I also swapped out the Cockpit, as the faux Spitfire one looked awful, so it is now the YAK 9 one instead, not accurate, as all the dials are in Russian, but it does look better.............Well in my humble opinion it does at least. All the sounds I used are in the sounds folder, including the sounds for the guns.

That as they say, is a wrap.

I forgot to credit Starfighter, for the Yak Cockpit, apologies to him for that ommision.

    AS ALWAYS...........................ENJOY !!!        :airplane:

  3. PZL P11C REDUX

    PZL  P11C.

A makeover of Zur's P11C, redone skins, for 3 Polish and 2 Romanian aircraft, updated sounds, weapons and of course the pilot.

Everything is included in the file, Sounds ( including the one for the guns) Guns, Weapons, Pilot, and of course the Decals.

I was going to do Latvian, Hungarian, and Soviet skins, however as the Latvians and the Hungarians only had one aircraft each, I thought this rather pointless, as for the Soviets, they only had about four or five, I assume the Germans had a couple as well, but in reality, only Poland and Romania used the type operationally.

These are NOT the DAT/A-TEAM aircraft, they were originally done by ZUR for SF1, the DAT ones are a totally different model and LOD.

    As always...........ENJOY .................... :airplane:

  4. The Missile is reported to have said, in a brief radio communication to HMS Vanguard " In a former life I was an aerobatic aircrafft. " The Ministry of defence, and Lockheed Martin have made no comment on the allegation that Trident missiles are made from dead Aerobatic and other Aircraft.

  5. I am doing some skins Polish and Romanian, so keep an eye out for those I will also do a "Standard" P11 setup as well, so you dont need to bother converting the file I sent you, I cannot publish those though as the I believe from the DAT site, but I am unsure, so I dont want to get into hot water by posting any of Crapuns stuff accidently, So I will upload the files on this conversation for you to take as and when, Should be ready in a couple of days so bear with me mate !! :drinks:

  6. I feel your pain my friend, unfortunately this is not just a matter of moving the dials around, the Lod itself would have to be remade, and not too many people have the knowledge, and or the time to do so, that is assuming the LOD is actually accessible to replace/rework. I imagine Cockpits are a very invovled subject, as everything has to work in conjunction with each other, its all JUJU and BLAK MAJIKS

  7. Well  I cant help you there, unless there is another Kitty Kat 'pit in the downloads section, it is either the TMF OR the stock one. Personally if there is not another available, I would just  "live" with the TMF one, I know, the OCD will play merry hell with your brain, but we sometimes have little to no choice, Cockpits are not something that are commonly modded unfortunately, so we have to use stand ins or totally, in some cases  inapprpriate ones. I wish I myself had the skills to do 'pit modelling, as I do understand and emphasise with your issue.

  8. I had my first flight sim on my Amstrad 664, cannot for the life of me remember what it was called though, then I upgraded to the Amiga, and I really went in for Flight sims, I had Falcon, F16 Combat pilot, Birds of Prey, Gunship, F/a 18 , F14 fleet defender, and several more including several of the Janes series. I eventually got my first PC and continued the trend. My first big love was EAW, that got me hooked on modding and editing the sim, I prgressed to the IL2 series, and ended up with Lock on, then I discovered SF Gold........I have DCS, and IL2 Battle of.......well all of 'em actually, but I always come back to SF/FE as it is just so good, user friendly, uncomplicated, and fabulous to mod and skin, DCS is superb, but I am NOT a real fighter Pilot, and although I WAS in the RAF, I was an RAF Regiment Gunner, so I like things simple, as my poor ol' Rockape brain cannot be bothered with having to press 2 million buttons, and flick almost as many switches just to adjust the seat height in the pit heehehehehe. I find this series of sims ( SF/FE) to be fun, stress free ( mostly) and easy to use, fly, and mod/skin. Long may it continue.
