  1. Pilot Pics in Dossier

Great. Does the face also age as you progress through the war or am I asking a little too much
  2. OT: 2012 Is The Year I Do It

Ok, Lou, :boxing:you're on. I'll try and knock up a graph like yours to make it easier to compare. I'm going to try and stick to my wife's low GL diet and keep up my exercise programme. OvS made a mistake when he said Yoga sucks. What he meant to say was "Yoga doesn't suit me but it may work for the next guy". Having taught Chinese exercise systems for more than 20 years I can safely say that, what looks gentle can be very hard work and very toning when done properly.
  3. OT: 2012 Is The Year I Do It

Good luck, Lou. I too have made a vow to lose some weight. Mine piled on when I stopped teaching - I taught a physical activity. My wife is a Nutritionist and has given me my dietry orders plus I've been cycling hard for 10 miles each day for the last 3 days and intend to continue with that. I currently weigh around 14stone in English money and according to the BMI I should be around 9 - 10 so that's around 56 lb to go.
  4. How do I NAVIGATE <SE5a Hispano-Suiza? >

Hi sparrowhawkms Firstly, I shouldn't rely on trims to maintain aircraft heading - there's all sorts of things that can influence the flight path. Use the joystick, that's what it's for. 1. The SE5a is my favourite aircraft and I fly it a lot. It may take a while getting used to the guages but they can be used for flying by, no problem. There are a couple of ways of navigating: via a printed map and the compass + looking for landmarks (roads, rivers, railways etc.) or by pressing 'M' whilst in-flight. This gives you a very basic map. Pressing 'M' again will make it disappear. 2. I've found that, with practice, all aircraft can be flown using the in-cockpit guages. If you fly a particular aircraft a lot then you get used to it ( just like real life). 3. You can drag the hud guages anywhere you want to - you can even select which ones you want. Don't forget, this is a simulator and not a game. It's hard because that's how it was in the day. I hope you persist with it and come to enjoy it as much as we all do. It takes a lot of practice but you will soon be able to look over the side and know roughly where you are. Those HUD guages will disappear too
  5. Hooray, fixed it. My original TrackIR (version 4 running with version 5 software) was running in XP service pack 3 mode and as administrator. I noticed that the copied version had reverted back to normal and once I'd reset it to run in XP mode and as Administrator it worked in OFF I've got to go out now so will try it out fully tomorrow. I've left a drink for you in the mess, Lou
  6. Thanks, Lou. I did as you said: started TracIR from my C drive - all worked fine. Shut it down (checking Task Manager to make sure) then started it using my new shortcut to the other drive. Once again all worked fine. Started OFF and it failed to notice that TrackIR was in use - it wouldn't work. The camera light was on and when I exited OFF and brought up the TrackIR screen, all was working as it should. Shut down TrackIR and restarted it using the original folder on my C drive, started OFF and everything is fine. It just doesn't want to work with OFF when launched from another drive :suicide2:
  7. Yep, I did that, Creaghorn. I just can't understand it.
  8. This is weird. I wanted to try this but my TrackIr won't work in OFF when I put it on another HD. It starts fine and everything functions as it should in the preview screen but once i start OFF then Track stops working. I've got OFF on my C drive and I copied the Natural Point folder to E drive (my other drive is partitioned). Even tried it on the D drive with the same results. Any ideas anyone

  11. HitR campaign crash to menu

Hi Doc. May be worth posting on the General Discussion forum and linking to this thread.
  12. Merry Christmas

    Happy holidays to you all.
  13. Issues With Setting Up in Windows 7

I shouldn't give up yet, m8. Bear in mind that people are busy with other things this time of year and not logging on and seeing your post. We've got some really knowledgeable guys here who will solve this for you - just be patient.
  14. Issues With Setting Up in Windows 7

I run Win 7 64 bit and don't remember getting that message during install. The only thing I had to do was run it as administrator like DQ said. I'm not a tech guy but if it was me I'd try disabling any anti virus software and try again.
  15. HitR campaign crash to menu

Unfortunately I'm only able to help in a limited capacity due to a lack of the technical knowledge that some OFFers have. I'm sure you did but I have to ask.....did you run CFS briefly? The tech guys here are rather like London Buses, you don't see one for a while then 3 come along at once. Be patient and help will eventually arrive
  16. HitR campaign crash to menu

Did you patch OFF and HITR?
  17. Good for you m8. Building and flying model aircraft is the best fun you can have with your clothes on.

Welcome Boomer. Mine's a pint of Spitfire ol' chap.
  19. Yes, carrick, they do indeed behave the same way. I'm just building a 1/6 scale DR1 and am already anxious about ground handling and landungs - nose overs seem to be the norm. To be fair that one in the video was a dead stick landing in a ploughed field - he didn't have a lot going for him there.
  20. 50th Birthday today

Only just seen this post. Happy birthday m8. You're probably comfortably numb by now :drinks:
