ok, I went through my aircraft and looooked at all the dates and made corrections as necessary. However, in an effort to drive me insane I find that the Texture some had a StartDefaultDate not a StartServiceDate! My question is do you change the Default to Service and why is 3W trying to drive us crazy!!!! I would expect some conformity in the use of these terms among 3W and modellers. I don't know if any changes are correct and maybe the best thing I can do is leave it alone??? Opinions most welcomed

I also copied the Maryland lod's to the Martin and that did the trick but shadows still exist. I did let Cesar know about what I came across. I will have to check out the Baltimore using your research when I load it. Thank you again -

Once again thank you Wrench, had the download but haven't setup my ETO install yet. I know you are working on a big Europe Terrain project can't wait to see that one once you are done. Anything on the horizon for some MTO Ju87 skins and Bf109 desert version aircraft? Everyone might want to check the Martin_167 config ini as one of the lines in the description is wrong and you get a black model [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=Glenn Martin 167 A-3 AircraftShortName=Glenn 167 AircraftDataFile=Martin167_data.ini CockpitDataFile=Martin167_cockpit.ini LoadoutImage=Martin167_Loadout.bmp LoadoutFile=Martin167_loadout.ini HangarScreen= LoadingScreen= Should read [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=Glenn Martin 167 A-3 AircraftShortName=Martin167 AircraftDataFile=Martin167_data.ini CockpitDataFile=Martin167_cockpit.ini LoadoutImage=Martin167_Loadout.bmp LoadoutFile=Martin167_loadout.ini HangarScreen= LoadingScreen= -
EAW Terrain Poll
flameout513 replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
I would rather have to total EAW Terrain experience then a watered down version. I look at it as would I sleep with Kristen Stewart if given a chance or politely say no thank you - yeah right did that asteroid hit yet. I go for the complete terrain because I know the care and detail will be worth the wait. -
I have used many a flight sim website and nothing compares to Combat Ace not even close. I have made a few friends and the experts here are excellent and helping along those that are new to modding. Congrats on 10 years and the future is bright. Semper Fi

Thanks again Wrench Would you consider selling the copyrights of some of your models that you feel are finished to your standards instead of giving them away free. I understand in this economy a lot of people are hurting and losing jobs. You have an amazing talent and could creat individual or packs like TW sells at it DLC store. Somebody must be making their models why not you for WW2 models which you have a enormous amount of material and knowledge. A lot of us here on Combat Ace probably would be willing to pay as fair price for your work????? just a thought I mean the demad for SF2 compliant WW2 aircraft and terrains is out there just need a talented person or persons to fill the void. OMG I sound like an Accountant whoops I am can't help thinking like one!!! Good thing I am retired! Semper Fi -
P51 Star Decal Problem
flameout513 replied to flameout513's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
You have been busy - again. The WW2 models don't always get the attention they need so the establishment of a WW2 section for SF2 models is a great start. However, I can appreciate more now what it takes to upgrade some aircraft from SF1 to SF2. A lot of the SF1 aircraft and skin work fine have some quirks but itis workable. I really think TW should contract with you and some others to create a WW2 expansion set or a separate (my choice) WW2 simulation as they did with First Eagles. The market is out there we just need a product and all the contracted personnel get a salary during construction and royalties for products sold. Everyone talks about creating jobs well here is one that would work. I have email TW never heard back from them. Semper Fi -
