Star Wars (not the Lucas or Disney Star Wars)
Skyviper posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
I remember reading about the old Star Wars program years ago and saw a draving of how a space shuttle can emply the use of a weapon that elemenate an enemy target from the safety of space. I was wonderingj if it could be sttarted here on Combat Ace what if section. The cointruction of a space shuttle with sole purpose of the deploying space weapons and secretly destroying targets. I think someone made a shuttle for WOI but the file isn't there. What your thoughts? Blasting off into space orbit the Earth .. deoploy a satlellie or a weapon to destroy a target and bring your butt back home. Just a radom thought. -

I had orbiter it was a really cool and educational and frustrating sim. I was just thinking about the "stars wars" program and how cool that would be is all. I will however look into the other suggestions. Thanks! -
A little help please (Trying to figure out name of recent war movie)
Skyviper posted a topic in The Pub
I was watching and was half awake when this preview for a ar movie came on. It appeared to be another movie about the raid on Bin Laden but instead of it being an action film is more like a darma type thing with some people involved in the raid attempting to re integrate back into "normal" civilian life. Or it just may have been about veterans attemtping to re intergrate back into civilian life period. I have no idea what its called who was in it. I just rememberd two the thigns: The movie looked good and I was really tired and ready to go to sleep. Its killing me because I'd really like to see that movie if I could only figure out the name for it. Thank you. -

Radar Bomb Sight
Skyviper replied to Skyviper's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I don't know what I'm doing either. I just thought a green top down camera view with a green cross hair for a radar mode would do the trick. I remember a B-52 G pack I downloaded had nose front camera view as a radar mode which is why I thought my bomb sight idea could work. -

Thanks macelena I'll see if I can't find them. Wrench Thank you. I'll keep that in mind about those bombers ... even though they are fun to fly ... land and carpet bomb entire airfields with them. :) -

Meteor explodes over Russia, hundreds reported injured
Skyviper replied to Fubar512's topic in The Pub
I just read the story. My mother saw meteor yesterday morning was talking about how it split off and looked like a firecracker. I keep thinking about that asteroid that's supposed to just "barely miss" Earth tonight. The world seems like a big huge place until you put in perspective next to an asteroid that is zipping around out there in space. That thing could take us all out. But I wonder if every nation wasn't at War and didn't devote a large chunk of its resources to killing fellow humans over various ideologies instead of respecting each idea of their genetic brethren and living in peace. Instead, as a whole, devoted its resources to space exploration would we fear pending asteroid strikes? Would we by now have a means of blasting asteroids away as if they were nothing? Would we have been on the moon and mars by now? I wonder. Some say War brought about many inventions so if its wasn't for it we'd have nothing. But in my opinion any desire a person has if that desire is strong enough they will find a means to achieving that goal. Humanity for some reason has a desire you feel superior and as a bi-product of that desire you have various nations and warfare and as a bi product of warfare you have space exploration and many other inventions. I'm simply wondering what things would have been like today if we had a bigger a desire to explore the stars than we have the desire to one up each other. -

Interesting. I thought I was the only one who thought that way. Albeit Democracy gives you the chance to pick who is going to screw you. BTW I found this little picture some time ago. I know its off topic I just thought you'd get a kick out it.

So if they are scared then why kick a hornets nest to prove you're not afraid of anything while fearing the pending stings. Unless the CIC and his staff knows this and are just playing along for N Korea's benefit. Ugh my head hurts.. hate politics ... I find interesting from time to time though... other times just painful. To me its like playing poker but instead of using chips you use people's lives.

Luck indeed good job on the research thank you.
