  2. A lot of the skins in the original release were missing the texture. Open the skin in Gimp and plop some grey in there; it works.

  4. Skyknight, one thing you'll learn about CombatAce is that the downloads section provides a sometimes bewildering variety; and that's of the same mod! If you d'load ModX from the SF1 section and convert it for SF2, you'll have one thing. If you d'load ModXforSF2, you'll have another. ModXforSF2 ver.1.0, ver.1.0%2, ver.2.0...you get the picture. Having said that, there are at least two packs (MiG-29 Pack 2.0 and MiG-29 Pack 2%2e0) that have both the MiG-29G AND R-27s and R-77s specifically for that aircraft. I just did a quick looksee and search but, the search turned up single MiG-29s but no packs. They are there though, but at 68 pages long, you'll have to do the legwork yourself. Try not to get lost in there, it's amazing what you'll find. When you do find them, IIRC you may have to mess around with one of the missiles to get it to show (don't remember which one). If they give you too much of a problem, just post back; open a new thread though, we're already pretty far from "SU-15 Lights" as it is. Edit: Ha, Ha! Found it (search Fulcrum, not MiG-29) : http://combatace.com/files/file/12489-the-mirage-factory-mig-29-fulcrum-mod/ . More Migs than you can shake a stick (or Sidewinder) at.
  5. There's a typo here; it should say AvionicsDataFilename=A-7E_avionics, that being said, you probably have to put the Avionics.ini in the aircraft folder. Edit: Just caught this; this method depends on using the avionics from a stock aircraft so the stock .tgas can be accessed from the .cat files.

  8. I've recently downloaded both the "all inclusive mod" Wings Over Russia from the Skunk Works (DAT) site and the EuroWW2 terrain from here to use with the Fallen Angels campaign. Both terrains have a callout in their main .ini for an "EnviornmentFile" and both have what looks like an EnviornmentSystem .ini that would (nowdays) be placed in the Flight folder. Will the present day (July2012) game still read enviornment information from this location, or is this irrelevant now? I'm guessing the second option, but if an expert weighs in I'd appreciate it. (Lookin' at The Wrench! )
  9. What aircraft is that? Could be a mesh problem. Try a decal that works elsewhere in the same spot and see if it does it, too.
  10. So, Flogger, what was it? No Alpha layer? As I said before, image programs and me...meh. Might help Agostino, too.
  11. You'll have to convert it to a .jpg with Gimp or other image program, then just attach it to your post. (If you're using the latest edition of Gimp, you have to use the export function to convert the image.)

  13. Whoa! Excellent question...I have no effing clue. Simultaneously? As in, play part of one Campaign, quit temporarily, switch terrains, play part of a different one, quit, switch again, and go back to the first? I think you probably could but you'd have to try it out; I've never tried it. Good, out of the box thinking, though, I think JSGME has a lot of potential in SF2 if it's looked at properly. Thanks for the question, Icarus, it's exactly what I was hoping for; people looking at it as more than a mod manager/enabler and asking "What can I do with this?".

  17. Did you read the readme? I've supplied a JSGME.exe to drop into your SF2NA mod folder in Users/SavedGames. Run it from there, it'll only affect SF2NA.

    Yeah, in Campaigns, this allows land strikes in Single Missions, like the readme says. Also, you should really post this kind of stuff in the File Announcement thread, this is for reviews.
