Cheers Mate Have ordered strike fighters Gold from an UK site,& heave downloaded all the patches including F104 from Game spot Uk site.Will order Wings Over Vietnam when I get back from holiday.Its a bit exspensive ordering from the states its going to cost me around $50 to have it shipped here including the game.Will the add-on aircraft in file announcements be compatable with strike fighjters gold. The Vulcan is a graceful old lady.But she could still kick ass if required.The Victor is also a nice old aircraft but unfortunatley there are no plans to get one flying again.That would be a treat.Its a shame in the UK the CAA don't let the bucks & lightnings fly here,I guess i'll have to head to south africa.Got relatives that live just over the boarder in Botswana,Will have to pay them a visit.Did you like the 558 wallpaper would make a calender.(hint)

So a naval aviator is someone who flies a plane with an anchor for brakes. Who didn't make the grade to join USAF or RAF etc.To call them self a Pilot. A friend of mine calls himself a Pilot he dosn't fly a cessna or a C17 he flies a Tornado GR3 and is based in the gulf at the moment.He's proud to call himself A Royal Airfoce PILOT.Not an RAF Aviator.

Sorry about missing those aircraft.Although I also like the Vought A-7 Corsair. Also Royal Navy aircraft like the sea Vixen,Seafire,& not forgetting the Harrier until the yanks got hold of it & F--ked it up. Anyway I thought a navy pilot was one that didn't qualify for USAF,& fly real aircraft like B-1b's & F15's. Cheers Pete

You can't beat the classics mate. I saw German F4's at an airshow a couple of years they stole the show.FANTASTIC Iv'e only seen F8 crusaders the once at the International air tattoo Fairford about 10years ago but they were very impressive.Unfortunatly that was the year the 2 mig 29's collieded luckilly no one was killed.

I take it you don't like the Super Hornet.It must pretty bad for RAAF to fly them. Bring back the English Electric Lightning a proper piece of kit which would give any yanky aircraft a run for its money.The only 2 decent carrier based aircraft that america has produced is the F4 Phantom/f8 Crusader in my opion thats quality. A blast from the past where all the skill was with the pilot & his support staff. Cheers Pete

Hi Chaps I never intended this debate to get this far out of hand.I was only promoting a very good piece of freeware issued with this months PC Pilot magzine. I don't know much about american aviation.But reading the replies in this forum the navy boys who haved worked on both aircraft seem to prefer the F18 Hornet. Lets face it the F14 Tomcat was good in its day but now its time to stand it down for a better bit of kit.You lads think yourself lucky you havn't got the eurofighter Typhoon now thats a pile of crap.Slowly replacing decent aircraft like Tornado F3's. Iv'e hunted the net for a no cd patch for pacific fighters.But I don't think there is one avaliable yet.I too like you have all the original disc's anyway you can pick up Pacific Fighters for under £20 these days. Hi Mate I can't recall ever seeing a Vulcan in desert camo.They painted the Victor in desert camo for the first gulf war as a refueling plane. I will look into it & get back to you. By the way the E.E Lightning what a machine. All the Best Pete
