Why does my flight always bug out?
Kaische replied to gavagai's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Only a thought- there is an issue with using blip switch or leaning too much as flight leader. You are loosing the command over your flight in that case, the fellow pilots are considering you as damaged, another comrade takes over and your flight is often aborting its mission. Are you using the blip switch or manual mixture and are you leading? I have this issue and have to avoid to use the blip switch or lean too much... Could lead to your described behaviour... -
Thank you Andy, looking forward to try the new version! Should add to the realism to have other aircraft's engine and MG audible only when these aircrafts are near to the own position! Shouldn't be to hard to incorporate the new version into OFFworld, it should be done by deleting the old version in the mods folder, then insert the new one, should have the same name as the old version (i.e. no version number), if Im not mistaken... Will try it out when at home again. Kaische

Dear oh Dear... We Need WOFF
Kaische replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
We're all still around, I'm checking in almost daily, never posted much, but always enjoyed hanging around here, reading your posts, your well written after action reports aswell, Captain. I still enjoy OFF, in fact am more flying than earlier, because I don't have to even think of mod handling, since OFFice took over all this work, thanks to Lothar. Presently flying 94th Campaign, Octobre 1918, active Verdun region, during the battle of Mihiel-Argonne, quit busy here... airwar last 100 days (anybody wants to join before this OFFworld campaign comes to an end?). It's still a good place to be, wonderful community, and it will much more populated when WOFF nears its release state I am sure. Would love to see again screenshots or videos, can't understand why this should be tension rising in bad way... -

OFFworld: Persistent Online Campaigns for OFF/WOFF

Thank you Lothar, and in turn my congratulations to your promotion to Captain! Wasn´t able to return after my last sortie to Toul, had to do a landing for repair at Verdun aerodrome after been shot at by some nasty DVII´s... Cpt Lindsay was not amused...- 27 replies

OFFice 1.0.8 with OFFworld now available!
Kaische replied to Lothar of the Hill People's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hej CS, I don't know exactely which version you played, but the last versions made flying OFF much more immersive and enjoyable, especially when you like to use the great mods made by community members. You just load the whole package, which includes almost any mod, install it and OFFice does the whole mod handling, with a lot of customisation of your liking. It is especially useful when using different mods for different time frames during the campaign. You do not have to worry about which mod to activate at which time, OFFice does this for you, you just have to concentrate on flying, in particular useful when having not to much spare time for flying... BUT, the biggest improvement imho is the ability to join the same squadron with fellow human OFF pilots (OFFworld). You observe their progress, their claims, kills, injuries, their ups and downs in short. A way to interactively encounter them is provided, with a simple chat option. It could be more pilots of this community to make use of this option, anyhow it is much more lifelike to join a squadron with some real people, real fun! Since then I started to collect some stick hours again! Would be great if you would join us! -

Is there any possibility to combine the advantages of superfetch AND a SSD. Maybe to inhibit the writing on the SSD but have SF enabled? I have a setup with a SSD, from where I start the performance hungry applications like OFF and Falcon from...

Awesome work, Herr Andy, as allways, thank you!

AI Planes Crashing with HPW EW Mods
Kaische replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hej Herr Prop Wasche, I do very much appreciate your efforts to improve the AI behaviour and am using several of your mods. If you are able to improve the AI skills at low level and to reduce their tendency to pull up/stall/crash that would be great... So keep up the good work, I like it very much! -
Downloaded your Dr1 FM mod and gave it a few tries: I´m very impressed and it adds some tactical aspects indeed. I don´t know a WW1 flight sim which models the flat spin fo the Fokker triplane. Well done, Herr Prop-Wasche! Since now I haven´t seen an AI-Dr1 pilot taking benefit of the new capacilities of his plane, though... Anyhow it is much more fun to pilot the triplane! Thank you!

Hej Andy, thanks for sharing, I do like especially your Spandau gun external sound, it fits perfectly to the internal Spandau sound of Creaghorns Homebrew mod, which I´m using, which is much slower than the original OFF version. Well done!

Thanks for adding me, Herr Olham, and hello to the OFF-community! Was playing Red Baron before its 3D version, I think it was on a 1,6 MHz PC... OFF rocks!

Wow, how did you manage to do that, Herr Prop-Wasche? Would love to try it, should add a lot of realism to the Dr1 flight model... Impressing, keep up the good work!
