  1. Hi! Just curious if the old SFP1 file extractor works with SF2V, and if so, how to find the object.cat with the aircraft!? I'm trying to pull out the data.ini and add custom pilots to the stock aircraft in SF2V Thanks! Mark
  2. Hi guys! One last question, I just moved alot of my custom ground objects from my YAP downloads for the original WOV to my SF2V install, put them in the MyDocuments/Thirdwire/Objects/Ground Objects folder and for one reason or another they haven't show up in my game... any thoughts on what I did wrong... I'll post if I can figure it out! Thank you, Mark
  3. Thanks for the reply! Here is what I'm cooking with... each ground object has it's own .ini etc .... is there something i need to extract and fix to make them show up?
  4. Hi guys, having a slight problem, so thought I'd see if anyone has BTDT. I'm using WOV with the Oct 2008b patch on a new install. At first the textures on my aircraft were sharp and high resolution, when I fired it up this morning after installing some RAZBAM skyraiders all the textures of the a/c looked poorly defined and low resolution. My 6800GTX works fine on all my other games, so thought I'd see if others dealt with this as well. Thanks for you time! Mark
  5. Yes it is on unlimited as it has been in the past. Worked everytime until recently. Not sure if I installed/patched things in the wrong order or if it was the razbam skyraiders doing something to my settings.
  6. " We're sorry, but your last request produced the following error: You have exceeded the maximum amount of downloads allotted to you by the administrator for the day" Hi guys! I just put a new install of WOV on my computer and got a few of the must have downloads from here last night ... unfortunatley after about 8 or so downloads I got this error keeping me from being able to download. A day later and still the same message.... just curious if I did something wrong or if you guys are seeing this too!? Thanks Mark
  7. No problem, thanks for the response : ] just seemed kinda new to me!
  8. Falcons v Tomcats

Not exactly true, a tactic from NFWS and the fleet was for Tomcat pilots would manualy vary the sweep in the aircrafts wings on purpose so that the opponents would have a hard time identifying their energy state when they met at the merge... or any other time when the Turkey was visible : ] Those Naval Aviators aren't suckers : ] even though I regard my big bro as one.
  9. I noticed the sudden FPS drop as well with the mig29, which is an amazing piece of work by the way! Major Kudos to the MF guys Anyways it usually happens when I change the view to looking at the lower-front of the aircraft or if i do the fly by view and it's looking head on. Figured it was something to do w/ being such a demanding model... I have no idea about that stuff : ]
  10. Hi guys! I've been looking for a mod I had a while back but can't seem to find it. It was an ini. edit that shrinked the aircraft callsign/speed/heading box and made the heading/target boxs and points smaller. Also it cut out the top right radar screen. Just curious if you guys knew where to look, all this extra stuff on my screen during sorties is kind of an eyesore!
  11. I'd take the A4 "Hienemans Hot-Rod" any day over the sluff. Fact is, the A-4 is a much better plane in ACM... it was chosen to be an adversary aircraft for a reason! It also moves mud with the best of 'em. Here is some food for thought. One of my teachers, former VA-146 CAG noted that it takes the A-7 a full 20 seconds for the engine to spool to mill-power. It's noted for being somewhat sluggish in performance, but there is no better plane for SEAD/STRIKE type work in the Navy's arsenal. Comes down to what trade offs you were looking for I guess. But I wouldn't want to be in the A-7 when dealing with RedAir
  12. MiG-19S WIP

wow, that looks really clean and sharp! i envy the skills of the modders around here, i could get into that! thanks for bringing another piece of history to life.

  14. First of the Wild Weasels, man that F100F is awesome!
  15. Pair of A-6B Intruders on the hunt for some SAMs.
  16. QUEST

Man that vodoo looks sharp! I always thought the one oh wonder had a cool looking patch... it looks like a shrunken head/tribesman. Keep up the good work, thats top notch!
  17. Hey FC, I couldn't tell if you made the "woi only" statement before or after the patch came out... Thanks for posting this though, very cool! Here is what I got after playing around with the A6E. Still having a hard time getting the cockpit frame to line up with the shadows though...
  18. hey guys, i was browsing through and noticed a head movement mod for FE. i was curious if it could be adapted for WOV? figured i should ask before i try it! thanks, mark
  19. Hey! Any word yet on if this will work for WOV?
  20. Good luck w/ primary, congrats! I consider him beyond lucky to have that job while stashed... he's just now about to class up though. He's definately worked with some peices of history... not sure if elaborating more is appropriate : ] Good luck though
  21. You mean this one? I just came from there this week. My bro is a stash ensign and works in the resto hangar till class comes.... you should see the stuff out there... most awesome job!
  22. SAM map...

Nice Map! The standing rule for AF pilots at the time was to generally keep the AC above 4000' AGL to avoid AAA/Anti-aircraft guns. That obviously changed with the mission though. Came across that in an article about F-100F's
  23. Black Projects

Here's a shot of the Skyraider you were speaking of. I took this on my trip to the Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola. Where my bro is now in API : ] Heres one of an RF4 just because I like it And another F-4 from VF154
  24. Amazing work! I love the orange flight suit and the boots, very nice touch that just sets it off. You modders do some pretty good stuff effin awesome
