A fault indicates a mistake or an unforseen failure. This was done on purpose and with the full knowledge of its ramifications. Its both possible and likely that the terrorists chose the WWTC in part because they knew of this weakness. I believe it was widely publicised at the time of construction.
-
Actually there is a real conspiracy in the situation, but its not an off the wall absurd one like you propose. The WTC should have been built with an asbestos coating sprayed onto the steel girders. It was not, due to environmental wackos, even though the asbestos would have been in the building's structural interior, and unlikely to find its way into the occupied areas. Had the asbestos been in place...well we can only speculate, but we can say for certain that a fire-protection known to be very effective was denied to the WTC for specious reasons.

Conspiracy theorists need to be introduced to Occam's Razor.

I don't buy that for a second.

DS Terrain / Mod Update
column5 replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
We know the terrain will be awesome becasue its Deuces. What about object placement? That's what seems to be the limiting factor in add-on terrain quality. -

Mirror mirror on the wall whos the ugliest of them all
column5 replied to triplethr3at's topic in The Pub
Supa Hornet is pretty ugly. The old Hornet had nice lines but the stretching and bloating required to make it Supa ruins it. The XF8U-3 was sick-ugly and maybe the greatest exception to the rule of "it it looks right, it will fly." -

Someone was obviously constipated. Tell him to frack off next time. -
I remember driving by the airport and seeing that plane not long after the accident occurred.

Damn Dave, take some Metamucil and go relieve the pressure man... -
For once I have to agree with Bob. USAFBLT Dan, if that is really his name, is often seen cavorting with women who are not wearing proper islamic garb. I once personally saw him allow his wife to leave the hose in a short burkah that exposed her ankle. He also listens to the great Satan Barry Manilow and for this alone should have his testicles beaten with rods made of strong reeds from the Tigris and then thrown into the shredder.

Patience.....Or the Lack There Of.....
column5 replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The only thing I disagree with Dave on is that I think its fine for people to post requests. This is a good way to gauge demand for a new aircraft or other item, but it should not be done in a thread that is an announcement or discussion of another aircraft/item. Other than that I am 100% behind the OP. -
The Best Buy stuff is fine. Its usually Kingston or some other well-known brand. Just make sure it is the right ype (DDR, DDR2, etc.) and is compatible with your front-side bus speed.

Just heard on the radio that Paul Tibbets, pilot of the Enola Gay, died today. I think they said he was 92.

Could someone write a program with the following specifications? The program opens a text file and allows you to specify a pattern. For example, [AirUnit###] The program searches the text file for the pattern, and sets the first occurence to [AirUnit001], and then increments each occurence after the first by 1, so the next occurence would be [AirUnit002], etc. Seems like a fairly easy task in VB, but then I'm not a programmer... Thanks!

It works! Thanks a bunch! This will make campaign editing a lot easier now.

Oh, and since I just read the SimHQ thread. That Razorback guy is a dips**t. Your advice was based 16 years of experience and the wisdom taht comes withit--don't sweat the weasel dicks.

Seems absurd to want to join the military but avoid combat duty. Like if someone joined the Army during Vietnam and then tried to avoid getting sent there. I've never been in the military but this sounds to me like the type of person one would not want next to one's self in a foxhole...

SuperHornets/Four Corners Story
column5 replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
Well...I guess that's the point. The Supa Hornet can't replace the F-111, because it can't do what the F-111 does. Just like it can't do what the F-14 and A-6 did. It can't really even do what the legacy Hornet does because its A2A performance is poorer, according to all accounts. I suppose it is good at dropping GPS-guided bombs on targets in Afghanistan where there is 0 air opposition and minimal threat of SAMs. But when we finally do Iran...I am afraid for our Naval Aviators. I know they will be the better pilots in the conflict, but their equipment...
