OK, it seemed like it would be a difficult task to accomplish...but I guess if you are practiced at it...

I have a question. Perhaps someone more nautical-minded can educate me. First, look at this pic: This is a cargo ship. I assume it is at least somewhat representative of cargo ships as a group. As you can see, the distance from the surface of the ocean to the deck is considerable, with no ready means to scale it. My question is...how exactly to these Somali pirates threaten the ships? Do they threaten to shoot RPGs into the hull, or...?

Well, note that I'm not advocating abandoning all restrictions...the fact that we require a simple criminal background check (done electronically, usually only taking a few minutes to complete) is precisely what makes our system work so well--criminals can't pass the check, and thus can't buy firearms through legal channels. Because of that, the incidence of legally-purchased firearms being used to commit crimes is quite low (it does happen, often in domestic disputes). I am saying that further restrictions on law-abiding citizens will not have any effect on the incidence of guns being used to commit crimes, because the criminals are already getting their weapons through underground channels.

Didn't he have a kid...and that was the last we saw of him? -
I agree with JM and Stick. Get a faster dual-core, and an nVidia card if ThirdWire games are your thing.

I agree, try to reinstall...I have not seen this problem before. -
This is the key to this argument. To give you some hard facts, here in Tennessee we had a law for several years (just repealed earlier this year) that required the purchasers of firearms to have their thumb prints taken and placed on file. While this law was in effect, over 2.5 million sets of prints were taken and filed. During this time, the TBI (state criminal investigation office) requested exactly one (1) set of prints as part of a criminal investigation. There are couple of conclusions that can be drawn from these facts. 1. People who purchase firearms through legal channels overwhelmingly do not use those firearms in the commission of crimes. 2. Criminals who employ firearms do not purchase their weapons through legal channels. Therefore, laws that restrict the ability of citizens to purchase firearms through legal channels will have no positive effect on the incidence of crime involving guns.

I'd be happy to see someone make such a mod.

The 1986 campaing exceeded my own expectations...I really enjoy the brutality of it...survival is not assured no matter how good your aircraft is (F-15, F-16, etc.) I like a little mud moving and a little A2A, with a bias towards A2A. -

Depends on whether you are using a noise jammer or a deceptive jammer. My perception is that the the deceptive jammers are actually simulating the range-gate pull off technique: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A637535 -

Whew, got lucky on that. It looks like the TE assumes that 1 degree is equal to 40 kilometers. So, I was able to move my initial map coordinates North 1 degree and West 3 degrees. I then adjusted the x,y coordinates for all cities by +120 and +40 respectively and they are exactly where they are supposed to be. -

That is great ansons2 thanks very much! Right now I've got all of my cities placed, and all of my Italian airfields. I have discovered a problem though, and I now have to see if I can adjust my map layout in such as way that I can keep my cities and airfields and just adjust their coordinates. I need increase the size of my map from 900 to 1000 kilometers and move the view about 1 degree to the West. I'm hoping that I figure out mathematically an amount to adjust each city and airfield's coordinates. -

This is nuts. Now I understand why it takes a couple of years to develop a new sim. Its 23 months of terrain building and 1 month for everything else. -

I'm saving and backing up like a mofo. On a positive note, with a little tinkering the TE can do a pretty nice transition from ocean to high elevation. These cliffs on the Yugoslav side of the Adriatic are pretty impressive. -

When I get these cities places, I'll send the map over to you to take a look. You can see if its worth continuing with. ;)
