There is so much information here that we almost need a wiki or some other optimized system to present it.

Well, my suggestion would be to get permission from FoxMonter and go from there, he is the creator of the model and a good guy to deal with. Asking permission from those other guys is fine, but I suspect you'll get a better answer from Fox. I could be wrong though so pursuing both avenues may be a wise course. If Fox give you permission though, it overrides anything the other guys may say. -

Yes, it would be better for him if he went to to the source I think...cut out the middleman and all that. -

DON'T contact F-Troop about it. Its FoxMonter's model and he is a great guy. He'll most likely give you permission to use it, as he did to me for NATO Fighters. -
I agree regarding 1/72 scale. I have a couple of jets in 1/48 and they are just too big, and these Century Wings planes are more detailed anyway.

Send PM to FoxMonter. He has not been around lately, and will probably not see this post. -

The data is fair game, but the cockpit LOD cannot be redistributed. -

There will be one more patch for SFP1 and SFG. TK has hinted that it will probably be the last. -
Game developers must live in some sort of alternate reality. There is no DRM known to man that cannot be bypassed or defeated, so the time and money they put into purchasing a DRM product and implementing it is a complete, 100% waste.

This thread is for further development of the B-36 flight model. I personally like to start a flight mdel by selecting the closest stock aircraft and using that for all of the base aerodynamics. It ensures that you get a good starting point, and from there you can make adjustments appropriate for the new aircraft. In the case of the B-36, the closest ThirdWire offering is the C-130. I've taken the FM that came with the B-36D and copied in just the aerodynamic coefficients from the C-130. I then double-checked all of the basic weights, intertias, lengths, widths, thrust values etc. and made corrections where necessary. The biggest problem I found was that a typeo was preventing the jet engines from operating: Note that the component numbers are not contiguous. This means that the left and right nacelle components, to which the jet engines are attached, were not being used. I also changed the jet engines from incorrect J57s to correct J47s. With that fix made, the plane is a lot more flyable and the AI handles it better. Note that the exhaust positions for these jet engines still needs to be fixed. You'll see a big black cloud coming from the side of the plane right now. ;) Attached you will find updated data and cockpit INIs. They are far from being finished and are only good for testing. Any feedback is appreciated--together we can make it soar. B_36D.zip

Nice. Makes me want a South African Bucc though... -
Well its my opinion only of course, I have no inside knowledge, but we know TK a bit after the last 6 years and we know that his purpose with these sims is to make them as open as possible. Any change from that would be impossible to comprehend.

Basically Sony is tightening up some EULA terms on Playstation Network. Its all boilerplate, really, CYA stuff. To answer the question in the thread title, anything could happen with any product, but no, this is not going to happen with ThirdWire games.

Well its hardware but the subforum is hardware/software chat. Don't ask me I didn't create it that way!

Best hop out and do it on the side of the road...going to need a bit more time.
