Crazy Ed's updated WIPS LIST
column5 replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Its tough--and I'm guilty of reacting badly to it at times--but we have to be able to accept criticism if we are to get better. -
The Bucc will definately not be ready in time for NF3. But that just means there will be a good excuse for NF4!

China's state news agency published a despatch from the country's three latest astronauts describing their first night in space before they had even left Earth. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/...from-space.html

Sounds like it just needs tuning now and we will have a respectable FM. What about reskinning it, Dave? -
Campaign Issue
column5 replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Glad its working! I am almost certain there is a cap on the number of units, but I have not seen it reached. It might be 999. -
For information only, we aren't mature enough to discuss. http://www.tribune-democrat.com/local/loca..._270000717.html

Campaign Issue
column5 replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
You have the RAN unit set up as [AirUnit076] in one file but in the other you have it set up as UnitID=151. They need to correspond. The 4th TFS must be unit 151 in the campaign data INI, that is why you are getting them. I would recommend that you add your new unit as the very last Allied unit in the campaign data, otherwise it is going to throw off all of the other units. Post your two campaign files here if you don't mind, its actually a lot easier to show how it works than to explain it. -

Maybe Dave can take a flight with the latest data INI and let us know about the first problem (stay at home dad can fly all damn day). As far as the nacelles, those are just subcomponents. Each one has two engines attached to it, so (after the typo was fixed) all engines should be working. -

I haven't tried the new engine on/off function but as far as I know it does work. Make sure you have a key mapped to it. By default it should be CTL-I. -

No, that is just the way it works. -
Help needed on Nato figters and Nato figters II
column5 replied to mja002's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Use the latest weapon editor for WOI to open the weapondata.ini and save out a new weapondata.dat. NF1/2 may not work properly with the latest patch even after you do that though. NF3 will bring full compatibility with the latest patch. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=32137 -

Its usefulness will depend on whether he releases it to everyone or not, but it'll be great coming from him. -

Not to down anyone's efforts--we all like different things--but an actual cockpit for this one would be great, as you can't capture the true look otherwise: Of course, I don't expect anyone to volunteer to make a pit this complex for a plane that has so many restrictions on it. Oh well. -

James Stewart has enough star power that it would normally be released IMO--I think there is some problem with the rights, because it has been hard to find even since the VHS days. -

I think I'll order a copy for the library, I've actually had that book on my wish list for a while. -
Level-headed is one thing I never thought the old place would be called. I know exactly what you are saying though, as far as your post goes.

I guess I should volunteer to do the C-5 flight model also, for obvious reasons... Just shoot the models to me when they are ready and I'll jump on them.
