In all seriousness, CA should look into hiring Mr. T to make videos for this kind of thing. "Fool! Is the aircraft folder named the same as the data.ini? If not, Mr. T will introduce you to his friend PAIN!"

I'd buy it if anyone had it in stock, but I think it is OOP. -
Today, I saw gas for $3.75 a gallon. So I filled up.

The concept of a hardcore flight sim is just mental masturbation anyway. Until they can add the element of imminent death, it isn't hardcore and its not accurate.

Decal Positions
column5 replied to Stick's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
The coordinates are relative to the decal facnig, so for a left-facing decal like the one above, the first number is the x coordinate, which posittions the decal 6.9 meters forward of the center point of the model. The second number positions the decal .3 meters above the horizontal centerline of the model. If the decal orientation was TOP or BOTTOM, the first number would be the left/right position, and the second number the fore/aft. IIRC. -

There was an excellent program on the Science Channel last night about the Soviet Lunakhod moon rovers of the early 1970s. These rovers were way ahead of their time and the world didn't catch up with the Soviet technology until the recent Mars rovers were launched. By all means check out the program if you get an opportunity: http://science.discovery.com/tv-schedules/...5151.118966.0.0 Wiki article on Lunakhod: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunakhod

Murtha is lower, but only because he is on the bottom of the man-sandwhich made by himself, Durbin and Ted Kennedy.

I wanted to raise the subject of fair-use modding again since our membership is steadily growing and many new modders have come onboard since we talked about it last. Basically, many of us in the SF modding community are promoting the idea of "fair-use" modding. That is, when we release our work, we do so with minimal restrictions. Usually we only request that proper credit be given and that our original readme files be included if our work is incorporated into other projects. No need to ask for permission to modify, no need for secret handshakes to download, etc. I'd like to encourage any new modders to consider this and sign up if you are agreeable! It is one of the best things we can do to keep our simming community strong and growing. More info here: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=26131

Just saw these, I don't think they have been available in the US for very long: http://www.centurywings.com/top.html Its a Japanese company founded in 2006. The detail on the models looks great and they appear to be fairly accurate.

Ordered a copy. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, according to the program, their designer was a specialist in tracked vehicles and worked extensively on Soviet tank technology.
