  1. Right, and that's what you meant by this being of interest to aircraft builders. Understood!!
  2. Interesting stuff. Is it possible to "add" a complete aircraft to the cockpit....to provide canopy structure for some aircraft that have none because of one-sided canopy polygons? You need to hop inside MF F4U-7 model, and take a chopped MF Corsair cockpit with you. Just do it. Granted, Wrench is the Corsair kid here -- but its worth a peak.
  3. Plugging is good. I was thinking if its possible to make a window showing things outside. U-2 had a panel screen that showed stuff under the airplane. In at least one case I read, a pilot could see MiG pilot helmet in the MiG far below. First thing I thought was angling a cockpit mirror. That would work guarunteed but only if the game models angled mirror reflection. I have not tried rotating a mirror yet heeh. You have used Siberian Sun? Brave soul. Tip: In my short time trying PATCH 2008, I had to exactly double the sun and moon sizes, as well as double the sizes of the sun glares. Something went down there over at the Thudwire haaah..
  4. Last week I was attacked by electric hedge trimmer. Trimmer got on top. One finger re-modelled with airbrakes -- you know how on the jets, the little "flap" of fuselage skin opens out into the air. That's what my finger looked like -- except overlapping airbrakes on top of airbrakes. Lots of red hydraulic fluid. Put finger in the hanger, lots of soaking in warm water, and in 48 hours I poured 91% alchohol on finger and I didn't feel a thing. Totally sealed up, airbrakes healed shut!!
  5. Did you get radar okay? An old Patch made radar tga not work. Now need radar bmp. Different airplanes fly different. Over long time, you best decide for yourself what is "realistic" and then find out if the game (computer pilot flying, computer pilot tactics) can handle it. You can change things if you like. It means..."K" Base. Like you saw with Wrench, I can't spell it either, so I call it Brain Base. Its the "K" self-study help forum here. Brain Base ~> http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=99 Self study ~~ Don't poast there! Read it only. Ask questions here.
  6. Go Atlantis !

Last launch I saw from north florida, just after sunset. The two solid boosters fell off and they quickly burned out. Normally that would be the end of visual tracking of the boosters -- no more rocket plume. BUT THE TWO BOOSTERS still shined as they fell lower. They were reflecting western sunlight yet appeared against a darkening eastern sky. The sun was down where I was, but not at the altitude of booster seperation, even though the boosters were farther east over the ocean. As the boosters fell, they finally got low enough so the sun was below the horizon as seen from their height, and they went out of view first one, then the other shortly after -- slightly different rate of descent there. The *tiny* little plume of the shuttle liquid rocket of course was still visible continuing further away. No combat flight sim yet has modelled the spherical Earth. This is a good example of what you would see if the Devs figured out how to model the air warfare environment. Granted, in this case, not much air combat at those altitudes except maybe B-70s and MiG-25s I guess. I dunno, what altitude do the boosters pop off?
  7. F-35 Demon Helmet

Funny you poasted the Tie fighter pilot helmet. My first immediate instinct thought was the alien Admiral commanding the Rebel fleet at the end of....forgot....3rd StarWars movie, that teddy bear planet, the one where Vader throws the emperor over the rail. That helmet ... lol heeh
  8. No. This takes the sim beyond the event horizon. That stargetic thread has the information needed to learn how to apply this method, especially the first few pages. The rest is fluff. Also, there is that partially worked out example for A3D.
  9. Man good to see it. Assume radar is not for pilot eyes, so you are good to go there philosophically hehe. You should repaint the inside of the crew compartment to colour of your choice. What were B-52s of ODS era painted inside pilot compartment? If I recall, there is a small square box lower right corner on the B-52 skin NOSE bmp that maps to the inside cockpit. But that is for SF 2006-, don't know about New SF. Or, you can apply a decal to the 3D mesh that colours the inside of the crew compartment. Both methods have some advantages. Anyway, you can do some interior decorating on this one, but not much. Something besides deep black.
  10. Maybe best: Thudwire F-104 cockpit. You can Move the radar out of the way, and its generally way down anyways where you have to look way down to see it (cockpit designers hehe). You can add or "Wrench" an RWR into place of the backup ADI as seen below. ---------------- warning weirdness warning will robinson ---------------- Even full normal stock cockpit, F-104 is worth a look. Here is the weirdness I do...I think WW1 Sim uses the same methods. Below is F-104 instrument panels inside Bunyap B-66 3D model. Rear view... Discussion on F-104 panels inside B-66 down this Thudwire page ~> http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...=a&start=96 ========================================== I do the same with ATeam's A3D Skywarrior. Sometimes the stargetic method doesn't look great, sometimes it does. This is one of those times it works out pretty nice. More on stargetic F-104 pit inside A3D down this page ~> http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...a&start=328

Kipo:: heeh thanks for that. :good:

Common folk have firearms in Greece? I didn't know about that. If so...pretty cool. Any restrictions? somebody last page...hmmm....TX321321....Yea this sounds typical of the political mob hehe. 32151::
  13. Yowza, interesting. Didn't know about this one. I retreated with tail between leggs back to 2006, although for grafix reasons, but am thinking of ways to get back to 2008.

Kopis:: Completely On Topic!! Its an image of Soviet nuc test towers here ~> http://nuclearweaponarchive.org/Russia/Sovtestsum.html It seems futuristic and old at the same time: A surrealistic mix of Modernism and Old Testament imagery. In short, every day from 1917 onwards, the USSR would have collapsed if not propped up by the western bankers and .govs. Pre-revolution Trotsky ran around USA getting money from our big bankers. When he started back to Russia through Canada, the Canadians arrested him, but USA.gov forced Canada to cut him loose. The Bolsheviks then had the funding to organize an armed takeover of the first and less radical Russian revolution. Nuc towers anywhere *might* not have even been built if not for big bankers and their central banks roaming the Earth, as they profit from what has been called Forever War. So it goes... Its on topic as a prime concern for western central banking and its child Communism is confiscation of private property including arms from its "subjects" -- confiscating a private rifle given to a top MiG-15 pilot in Korea is a great example. Yea its kinda weird, but fascinating as well. All that, and yet my fave colour is a mellowing mix of polished aluminumnumnum and anti-flash white!! (thanks TK and pappy!!!)
  15. Yamas

Hey that's pretty neat. A number in a herd can move to wayponts maybe? Request for Best:: South African Springbok perttiest aminal in world ~> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springbok_(antelope)
  16. You did good. If I recall, New WoV does not have A-6 cockpit, but Old WoV does, and now so do you!! Maybe F-105 cockpit too, but that may be in WoE not sure. If F-105 not in WoE, you now have the coolest stock cockpit in the entire Thudwire series -- the Thud pit.
  17. Happy Birthday Column5 and Crab_02

I don't know crab, but C5's Cold War Downloads got me into 7zip. Just for that, happy birthday C5 (and crab5 too!!!)....5zip...I'm confused now.

eraser:: You kinda just did -- you knew kids hunting before they were 10. Kopis:: Under freedom, society can take care of gangs and thugs on its own, unless interefered with by .gov. Recall the British Empire ran the opium trade, and I suspect today's .govs are there as well. And they are going to "help" ... don't think so. Recall that when USA was growing strong, with little government, drugs were freely available, and without the crime we associate with drugs today. But people back then knew the price of doing drugs, after all they were taught hunting at 10 years old or so, and so we seemed to have been able to avoid crippling the country.
  19. HR 45

Nope. No gun "laws" are needed at all in a responsible society. eraser says it all. There was a time in USA when everybody learned firearms at a young age, and that was when the country was growing stronger. eraser:: Raising kids the right way -- a target of destruction by central banking and debt funded warfare. Registration is followed by confiscation. I always said the Soviets lost the Cold War, and the Communists won hands down. When you discover that the western central bankers funded the Bolshevik Party from the beginning, it makes sense. A deep interview of MiG-15 pilot in Korea, by FPSOlkor at Oleg Maddox Yellow Wallpaper Forum. ~> http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=6347 What stands out for me is (1) difference in contrails between MiGs and Sabres, and more important (2).... A good a reason to fly a MiG to S. Korea as I can think of.
  20. Fave quote from original is ... About 20 guns, some on the ground, some on the towers...or something like that. Lucas lifted that for the StarWars deathstar trench scene. Love it.
  21. US/Serbian War? That final forest bombing on troops hiding in the forest, and ended the war, or something like that?
  22. Veltro sorry about that. Banging out tonnes of 3D supermodels can hurt your wrist. We "forgot" to tell you about that part. But now you know.... Get well soon. Forget Jug and sex hehe. Lots of fish, fruits, Polish Deli and local owned Pizza joint....but NO hopital food.
  23. Several sources claim the Swedes used greatly improved Falcons. Don't know in what way, but I can visualize that.
  24. Cockpit Photo

...unless he/she has something confused. You know, it would work. If somebody made a flat square pilot, with bmp, you can hang it inside the crew compartment.
  25. Cockpit Photo

No, that's a DATA file ini thing going on there. Adding a pilot type deal.
